Beast Beauty System: The Exiled Fox is Pampered in the Beast World

The moment she lowered herself, Anaria understood two things at once.

First, the system was a sadist.

Second, this was absolutely not medicine in any civilized world.

The moment she lowered herself fully and felt the hard, delicious stretch of him inside her, her breath caught so sharply it almost hurt. A broken little moan escaped her before she could stop it... soft, startled, and humiliatingly breathy in the quiet cave.

”Oh, this is vile,” she whispered, frozen in place above him, thighs trembling. ”This is disgusting. I hate every single person involved in this.”

Rylan remained deeply unconscious beneath her, warm and solid and unfairly handsome for a man currently ruining her life.

The cave was too quiet.

His body radiated heat under her palms, every inch of him heavy with strength even in sleep. Black hair spilled across the stone beneath his head, his wolf ears half-hidden in the dark strands, his face relaxed in a way that did absolutely nothing to make this situation less filthy. If anything, it made it worse.

Because now he looked peaceful.

And she was very much not.

A pale panel flickered in front of her eyes.

[Absorption process incomplete.]

Anaria stared at it in disbelief.

”You cannot possibly be serious.”

[Host must continue contact to complete antidote extraction.]

She looked down at the glowing words, then at the unconscious beastman beneath her, then back at the panel.

”I’ve already sacrificed my dignity, my self-respect, and possibly my last shred of spiritual purity,” she hissed. ”What more do you want from me?”

[Poison remains active.]

”Of course it does.”

She wanted to die.

No, correction...she wanted to live, unfortunately, and that was the entire problem.

Anaria swallowed, drew in a careful breath, and tried to move.

The movement nearly undid her.

The thick, dragging stretch of him inside her hit harder than she had emotionally, mentally, or spiritually prepared for. Her entire body tightened like a drawn bow. Her thighs trembled violently around his hips. She stopped immediately, pressing one hand over her mouth as a fierce blush rushed straight to her face.

”Oh, absolutely not,” she whispered, voice strained and shaky.

Yet she didn’t pull away.

This was absurd. This was criminal. This was a hostile act personally orchestrated by the heavens.

Another panel flashed.

[Remaining suppression time: 54 minutes.]

Anaria glared at it. ”You know what? I’m already under a lot of pressure. I don’t need your countdown attitude.”

The system, predictably, did not care.

She closed her eyes for one second, gathered the remains of her courage, and tried again slowly and deeper this time, careful and awkward and so painfully aware of every movement that she wanted to fling herself directly into a ravine.

The cave air felt hot against her skin.

Her hands slid from Rylan’s shoulders to brace against his chest, and that only made everything worse, because now she could feel the hard rise of muscle beneath her palms, the steady rhythm of his breathing, the sheer solidity of him. He was built like violence and bad decisions. It was deeply inconsiderate.

”This is your fault too,” she muttered to him, because if she had to suffer through this, then someone else was getting blamed. ”You’re entirely too... built for an emergency antidote. It’s suspicious.”

Rylan gave no sign of hearing her.

Anaria kept moving because the alternative was death, and death was beginning to look smugly attractive, which annoyed her on principle.

Each careful motion sent a different wave of sensation through her; heat, pressure, a strange unsteady pull low in her stomach that made it harder to think. Her breathing turned uneven. Her grip on his chest tightened. Somewhere between one humiliating second and the next, the ache in her veins began to change.

The poison’s cold burn was still there.

But now something warm was moving through it.

It spread from the point of contact outward, a slow, liquid heat that chased through her body and tangled with the toxin in her blood. The burning in her chest eased, only to be replaced by something softer and far more dangerous. Her pulse skipped. Her limbs felt oddly light. The air itself seemed heavier.

Anaria stiffened.

”What is that?”

The system answered at once.

[Antidote absorption initiated.]

[Poison neutralization in progress.]

For one bright, glorious second, relief hit her.

Then the rest of the panel appeared.

[Warning: high-grade mating essence may trigger heightened sensitivity during integration.]

Anaria went still.

”No.”

The heat in her body deepened, immediate and merciless.

”No, no, no. I reject that. I reject the wording, the concept, and the entire experience.”

But her body, traitorous thing that it was, had already stopped listening.

Every movement felt stronger now. Sharper. The warmth under her skin gathered low in her belly and spread outward until even the cave air brushing over her felt too noticeable. Her breath caught again, softer this time, and she hated that most of all.

This was poison treatment.

Emergency treatment.

Her body was not allowed to have opinions about it.

”If you enjoy this,” she informed herself grimly, ”I’ll never forgive you.”

She tried to focus on the practical facts.

The poison was fading.

The pressure in her chest had eased.

She could breathe without feeling like broken glass lived in her lungs.

It was working.

That should have been enough to keep her steady.

It was not enough to keep her steady.

She bit the inside of her cheek and kept going, movements losing some of their stiffness as survival and sensation tangled into one deeply unfair mess. Her head tipped forward. Her hair slipped over one shoulder. Her fingers dug into Rylan’s chest as though he might somehow be at fault for existing so offensively well.

”You’d better appreciate this if you wake up,” she whispered breathlessly. ”I’m saving both our lives, and I’d like that noted somewhere official.”

Still nothing.

Then Rylan’s breathing changed.

Anaria froze.

It was subtle at first just a deeper inhale beneath her palms, a faint tension in the broad muscles of his chest. Then his brows pulled together slightly, like he was surfacing from somewhere dark and unpleasant. A low sound rumbled from him, rough and sleepy and devastating to her remaining composure.

Anaria stared down at him in horror.

”No,” she whispered. ”No, absolutely not. You stay unconscious.”

Rylan’s fingers flexed against the cave floor.

The scent in the air thickened wild and warm and distinctly male in a way that made her entire face burn hotter.

This was bad.

This was so, so bad.

She was still moving because she had to, because the antidote wasn’t finished, because stopping now would be the most humiliating possible way to die but now every movement of her body was answered by some tiny reaction from his. A tightening muscle. A deeper breath. A faint sound in the back of his throat.

Anaria was going to perish from shame before the poison could finish the job.

”Listen to me, pretty boy,” she said under her breath, trying for stern and getting flustered instead. ”This is already a disaster. If you wake up right now, I will personally haunt you over it.”

His head turned slightly against the stone.

Anaria nearly choked.

Why was he still handsome half-conscious? Why did the beast world insist on making all of her worst experiences aesthetically offensive? It was impossible to maintain righteous outrage when the source of your suffering looked like that.

His body shifted under her, not enough to throw her off balance, but enough to send a fresh rush of heat through her. Anaria sucked in a breath, fingers spreading helplessly over his chest.

”Unbelievable,” she muttered. ”Your body is criminal. I hope you know that.”

Another pulse of warmth moved through her veins, stronger this time, and the lingering poison ache finally loosened. Relief hit so suddenly it almost made her dizzy. The crushing tightness in her chest was gone now, replaced by a softer trembling that had nothing to do with illness and everything to do with the impossible man beneath her.

The antidote was working.

The system confirmed it a moment later.

[Detoxification in progress: 79%]

”Only seventy-nine?” she whispered, scandalized. ”I’ve been through enough for at least ninety.”

She moved one more time, desperate now... desperate for the poison to clear, desperate for this to end before he woke up enough to realize exactly what was happening.

The next pulse of warmth through her body was stronger than all the others.

It rolled through her chest, her stomach, her limbs, loosening the last cold knot of poison around her heart. Her breath caught. For one dizzy second she felt almost weightless, all the pain and tightness inside her melting away into heat.

Then the system’s voice cut through the haze.

[Antidote successfully integrated. Poison suppression complete.]

Relief hit so hard Anaria nearly sagged forward on top of him.

”Oh, thank God...”

Rylan’s eyes snapped open.

Not fully focused. Not fully awake. But open.

Dark, fever-heavy eyes fixed on her face.

Anaria went completely still.

For one suspended second, neither of them moved.

Then his hand shot up and closed around her waist.

Hard.

Anaria gasped, both palms flying to his chest as his grip locked her in place, hot and unyielding.

The sleepy haze in his eyes didn’t make the strength in that hold any less terrifying.

Or the way his gaze pinned to her face any less dangerous.

And then, very softly, very hoarsely, the wolf beneath her finally spoke.

”...What,” he said, voice rough with sleep and something far more primal beneath it, ”are you doing?”

And Anaria, frozen on top of him with her pulse in ruins and her dignity already buried somewhere beneath the cave floor, realized with dawning horror that the antidote problem had just become a man problem.
