Beast Beauty System: The Exiled Fox is Pampered in the Beast World

Aria woke up convinced she had finally managed to drink herself into a felony.

Her skull was pounding hard enough to qualify as aggravated assault. Every pulse of pain slammed behind her eyes while her stomach rolled in vicious waves that made her regret every cocktail she’d touched the night before. Her throat was dry, her limbs felt packed with wet cement, and the floor under her cheek was so offensively hard that for one groggy second she wondered if she’d passed out in somebody’s driveway.

That would have been humiliating, but at least it would have made sense.

This did not.

She groaned and tried to turn over. The movement nearly ended her. The world spun so violently that she clamped a hand over her mouth and stayed exactly where she was, breathing through the nausea and trying not to throw up on herself like some cautionary tale about rich girls and free alcohol.

”What did I drink?” she muttered.

The Insta hangout came back in bright, useless flashes. Music over the rooftop pool. The city glittering below them. Someone shoving another pretty cocktail into her hand because apparently ”it tastes like juice” was code for let’s ruin Aria’s life. Then the memory snagged.

Pool tiles slick under her heel. A stupid slip. The side of the pool rushing up too fast. Something hard cracking against her temple. Cold water swallowing her whole.

Aria’s eyes opened.

She stared at the rough wooden ceiling above her and felt the nausea twist into something colder.

That was not how a hangover was supposed to start.

Maybe she’d hit her head and blacked out. Maybe someone had dragged her somewhere after the party. Maybe she was concussed and about to sue half the guest list. All terrible options, but still better than the dread crawling up her spine.

Aria braced a hand against the ground and pushed herself upright.

Her vision blacked out so fast she nearly went down again. Wonderful. Her skull felt cracked, her stomach lurched, and her body... God, her body felt wrong. Not just sore. Wrong. Heavy in places it shouldn’t be. Weak in ways she didn’t recognize. Even her balance felt off, like somebody had handed her a badly fitted replacement body and expected her to make it work.

She sat there breathing through the dizziness. Then her brain caught up with what her hand was touching.

That was not her hand.

Aria lifted it slowly and stared.

No nude acrylics. No elegant manicure. No slim diamond bracelet. No smooth skin softened by expensive hand cream and a lifelong refusal to do anything remotely strenuous. The hand in front of her was darker than she was used to, rough around the knuckles, the nails short and uneven, the skin dry enough to catch faintly against itself.

”Absolutely not,” she said aloud.

The other hand was no better.

Aria looked down at herself properly and had to fight the urge to swear at the universe. The body under the rough fur dress wasn’t hers either. It felt softer, heavier, sluggish in a way that had nothing to do with one bad night of drinking.

Still dizzy, she forced herself to stand. Her knees wobbled instantly. The room tipped sideways. Aria stumbled, caught herself against the wall, and hissed when pain shot through her palm.

The wall was wood. Splintered, uneven wood.

Aria looked around at last, and the knot in her stomach tightened.

The room was small and ugly in a very determined way. A narrow window let in a stripe of washed-out daylight. One wall had a crack running down it. There was a broken stool in the corner, a low cot shoved against the opposite side, and a cracked basin on the floor. The air smelled damp, stale, and faintly medicinal.

It was not her bedroom. Not a hospital. Not any place a sane person would voluntarily enter wearing designer shoes.

Her pulse climbed.

Kidnapping, her brain suggested desperately. Head injury. Hallucination.

Her face hurt.

She touched her cheek. Pain shot through her so sharply that her breath caught. Her cheek was swollen. So was her lip split at one corner and tender enough to make her eyes water. There was a bruise along her jaw, another near her brow.

Somebody had hit this body.

”Okay,” she whispered. ”No. No, this is insane.”

[Host awakening confirmed.]

Aria nearly climbed out of her own skin. ”Who said that?”

No one was there.

The voice came again, cool and detached, from somewhere inside her head.

[Transmigration complete.]

Aria went very still. ”Excuse me?”

[Beauty System successfully bound.]

”Absolutely not.”

[Original body memory synchronization beginning.]

Aria straightened. ”I’m sorry, memory what...”

The pain that hit her next made the pounding in her skull feel cute.

Her knees buckled. She crashed to the floor with a choked cry as images flooded her head too fast, too sharp, too heavy to be her own.

******[OLD SOUL MEMORY]

A little girl kneeling in a courtyard, head bowed while a cold, elegant woman looked down at her in disgust.

”What use is a female with such weak scent?”

Another girl stood nearby in pale silk, lovely and sweet-faced, her concern so pretty it was almost convincing.

”Please don’t be angry, Mother. Sister didn’t mean to embarrass the family.”

The next memory struck before Aria could breathe.

A crowded clan hall. Beautiful beastwomen. Rich scents. Polished appearances. And then Anaria too quiet, plain and easy to mock. A clan leader’s daughter who should have been treasured as a female, but wasn’t.

Weak scent. Weak fertility. Weak healing gift. No value.

A burden. A disgrace.

Years of neglect blurred together. Food delivered late or not at all. Clothes chosen with deliberate carelessness. Harsh soaps that left skin dry and inflamed. Hair left untended because who cared how Anaria looked?

Not ugly, Aria realized through the crushing flood. Not hopeless. Just neglected so thoroughly that neglect had become part of her face.

Then came the male.

Silver eyes. Cold expression.

”I have no interest in a female like you.”

The shame hit almost as hard as the memory itself.

Then the memories turned ugly.

A cup of medicine. A servant shouting. Panic.

”He’s been poisoned!”

Anaria freezing where she stood.

Her adopted mother spinning toward her with murder in her eyes.

”You vile thing!”

The slap came hard enough to burst white across Anaria’s vision.

”I didn’t!” she cried. ”I didn’t poison anything I swear...”

No one listened.

Her adopted sister was crying already, tears shining prettily in her lashes. ”I saw Sister near the medicine earlier...”

That was enough.

Hands seized Anaria. Someone struck her from behind. Voices rose all around her.

”She did it because she was jealous!”

”She couldn’t stand being rejected!”

”Throw her out!”

Anaria kept denying it while nobody bothered to hear her. Dragged across stone. Kicked to her knees. Hauled into this room like a criminal and left there to wait for judgment.

The flood cut off so abruptly Aria nearly slammed into the silence.

She knelt there shaking, sweat damp at her neck, head packed with glass.

*******

Anaria.

Moon Crescent Fox Clan. Weak scent. Weak fertility. Weak healing power. Public disgrace. Rejected by a powerful male named Cael. Framed for poisoning him. Beaten for it. Dragged here to wait for a verdict.

Aria laughed once, sharp and disbelieving. ”I die one time and wake up in a poisoning case.”

[Correct.]

She snapped her head up. ”That was not the point. You’re a pretty rude guardian angel, you know that? A warning before shoving someone else’s tragic life into my skull would’ve been nice.”

[It was factually accurate.]

The voice was so calm it was offensive.

Cold water flashed through her mind again. The rooftop pool. The crack against stone. The darkness after.

Her chest tightened.

She had died.

Actually died.

And now she was in a fox clan, in another girl’s battered body, carrying the memories of a life that had been one long public humiliation.

Aria glared at the empty air. ”What are you?”

[Beauty System.]

”That explains absolutely nothing.”

[You are deceased in your original world. You have transmigrated into the body of Anaria, daughter of the Moon Crescent Fox Clan Leader. The original soul has dissipated. You are the active host.]

Aria blinked. ”Excuse me? I died, got shoved into a stranger’s body, inherited a criminal case, and this is all the explanation I get?”

”Dissipated?”

[Gone.]

Anaria was gone. Whatever fear had filled those memories had ended before Aria got here. Now all that remained was the wreckage.

[Your current survival probability is low.]

”Love that for me.”

She pushed herself up and went to the cracked basin. The reflection in the water made something in her chest sink.

It wasn’t ugliness she saw.

It was damage.

Swollen cheek. Split lip. Rough, inflamed skin in the unmistakable pattern of long neglect. Thick hair gone dry and tangled. A body softened not by comfort but by stress, poor care, bad food, and shame. Underneath all of it, Aria could still see the shape of a better face. Features buried, not ruined.

Somebody had done this.

”This is Wickedness,” Aria muttered.

Voices drifted in from outside.

”The clan hall is ready.”

”If Young Master Cael had died, they would’ve buried her already.”

”Exile is kinder than what some of the elders wanted.”

Aria went cold.

So the verdict really was waiting.

”System,” she said tightly. ”Any useful advice?”

[Current priority: survival.]

”That’s not an advice.”

[Try not to die before your journey properly begins.]

Then it went silent.

Heavy footsteps sounded outside.

The door swung open hard enough to hit the wall. Two guards stepped inside, both looking at her like she was a problem they’d been ordered to move.

”So you’re awake,” one said.

The other crossed the room and grabbed her arm.

Pain shot up to her shoulder. ”Hey...”

”Move.”

Aria twisted instinctively, but Anaria’s body was weak and aching and in no condition to fight anyone. ”Where I come from,” she snapped, ”dragging injured women around before breakfast is considered terrible manners.”

Neither guard looked impressed.

”The Clan Leader has reached a decision,” the first said flatly. ”You are to be taken to the clan hall for your final verdict.”

There it was.

No time to think. No time to breathe. She had barely learned whose body she was in, and now she was being dragged toward a room full of people who already wanted her condemned.

Fear rose first.

Then humiliation.

Then anger, hot and sharp enough to keep her upright.

If this world expected her to lower her head and quietly accept whatever it decided to do to her, it had picked the wrong girl.
