Reborn As Super Heiress

By that time, with so many fish goods landing, it would be impossible to hide it, and it would definitely attract onlookers, and these Bluefin Tuna would certainly be exposed.

Dozens of Bluefin Tuna are definitely big news. It’s estimated that she and Gu Xu’s group would be in the spotlight again, and causing quite a stir would be fine, but they’re worried that by then, the matters concerning Okinawa 0288 might be linked to them, attracting the attention of the East Ocean Police Bureau and Fujiwara Seiho.

So, she has already decided. Such high-quality tuna is rare, and she is not planning to sell these fish. Once back on shore, she will share a few with Su Jinyuan, Su Qingqing, Wu Jun, and Bai Yishan, and apart from keeping some for herself, she plans to send some to the Imperial Capital, and also to take one to Zhao Guotian at some point, so he can host a feast for Yan Xuesong and those teachers and professors she’s familiar with.

With this calculation, these dozens of Bluefin Tuna might not seem like much, but considering they were obtained for free, Huo Sining is no longer bothered by it.

The tuna is the main thing; the remaining seafood amounts to only seven or eight tons, which doesn’t stand out in the yacht’s cargo hold. Huo Sining and her crew returned to the harbor that afternoon. Because they returned early, the yacht rental company’s manager was puzzled, but when he saw them take out several tons of seafood from the cargo hold, he was startled.

Those who rent yachts from them usually go out to play. They had never seen anyone like Huo Sining bring back such a large catch of fish.

However, these wealthy people’s quirks are not surprising, and the manager had seen even weirder things. Additionally, the harbor sees countless fish goods come and go daily, so several tons of seafood weren’t much to dwell on. The manager just mumbled a few words to himself but didn’t think much of it.

Huo Sining instructed a male staff member from Xianyu Shop to drive a large truck from the store to the harbor, and the seafood was unloaded onto it, thus delivering a large batch of fish goods to Xianyu Shop.

Xianyu Shop had been relatively quiet lately because of Huo Sining’s pregnancy, which she hadn’t been managing much. Suddenly receiving so much fresh stock, the old customers quickly got the news.

Due to their trust in Xianyu Shop’s quality, these old customers had consistently patronized the shop, so when good products arrived, Huo Sining had the staff diligently send text notifications to every old customer.

Soon, within less than an hour, Xianyu Shop began to fill up with people, and the crowd continued to grow.

Huo Sining wasn’t overseeing things there, as these were free goods. She priced the seafood very affordably, and since they were fresh and premium, they sold themselves without any worry. She estimated most of it would be sold by nightfall, so she didn’t worry about it at all.

What she worried about was the video and the situation over in East Ocean.

When they left the high seas, Gu Xu set the sailing route for Okinawa 0288 to automatically navigate back to Kyoto Port in East Ocean. By now, it should have arrived in Kyoto, and Huo Sining was waiting for the East Ocean Police Bureau’s reaction.

So after returning to the villa, the group didn’t disperse. They kept refreshing international news on their phones or computers, waiting to watch the show.

Sure enough, by 8 PM, real-time news reports from East Ocean started coming in. The Penguin service was first to pop up a news alert, displaying a breaking news story.

——East Ocean fishing boat returns mysteriously unmanned, all 17 crew members involved in incidents.

Soon after, major portals followed with their reports. The news included footage of Okinawa 0288, showing reporters and police moving around the vessel inspecting, and the scene of over a dozen East Ocean fishermen, some paralyzed or dull-witted, being carried off the boat, creating a tense atmosphere.

With such a big incident, the East Ocean Police Bureau couldn’t possibly ignore it. The news exposure attracted much attention domestically in East Ocean and internationally, prompting a swift reaction from the East Ocean Police Bureau. They declared it a premeditated violent act at sea, and East Ocean would take measures to fully investigate.

”Fully investigate? I want to see how they’ll investigate, haha. Without surveillance, can they handle matters on the high seas?”

Su Qingqing commented gloatingly as she watched the news.

Meanwhile, Gu Xu had already sent the previously recorded video to Yu Fei, asking him to edit it, especially to ensure that the testimonial videos of the Hua Country fishermen were pixelated, so they wouldn’t suffer any secondary harm.

Yu Fei has always been efficient. Within less than an hour after receiving the video, he had finished processing it and reported back that he had double-encrypted the data to ensure no one could reverse the pixelation.

After watching the video, Huo Sining gained a deeper appreciation of Yu Fei’s capabilities and nodded in satisfaction.

By this time, international news had already begun to turn rapidly, especially as subsequent reports from East Ocean kept coming about the conditions of the East Ocean fishermen, with real-time updates constantly emerging.

Paralysis, dementia, muteness, and unconsciousness—these symptoms were all very obvious, indicating these people had likely suffered serious shocks. Yet, after these individuals were admitted to the hospital, apart from providing condition reports, the hospital couldn’t do anything for the patients, completely at a loss on how to proceed.

What shocked and even frightened the reporters and doctors more was that two among the fishermen had been comatose since landing, but soon after entering the hospital, they began having full-body convulsions. Subsequently, their bodies quickly developed toxocysts, starting to ulcerate all over, with something faintly wriggling inside their abdomens.

The hospital conducted thorough checks, even performing full-body X-rays on these two, but discovered nothing.

At this very moment, the two exhibited more abnormalities, with black blood oozing from all seven facial orifices. Within half an hour, their abdomens swelled until their stomachs burst open, releasing countless repulsive worms from their bellies.

These abnormalities utterly terrified the local doctors and nurses, especially the nurses, who were petrified to the point of stumbling and crawling out of the ward, too frightened to speak.

What a joke—seeing swarms of worms suddenly surge from the belly of a living person would unsettle anyone. Those doctors and nurses who witnessed this bizarre occurrence may find it difficult to escape the trauma caused by this event in the short term.
