Reborn As Super Heiress

The fish, shrimp, and sea crabs scooped up by these Dongyang ninjas are truly valuable; aside from sea abalone, emperor crabs, and big red shrimp, there is also a notable amount of bluefin tuna, cod, and eel.

Tuna is relatively common in the sea, but generally, it requires single fishing to catch them one by one, especially bluefin tuna, which is a rare species among tuna. It’s not easy to encounter one in the market.

However, inside this fishing vessel, there are actually dozens of bluefin tuna stored, which is surprisingly large in quantity. The key point is, these tuna are still alive, jumping around happily, which made Huo Sining feel quite unexpected.

It’s likely these Dongyang people had unbelievable luck on the high seas, just happened to come across a school of bluefin tuna and caught them right on target with one haul.

Dongyang people love eating sushi; sea eels, cod, and tuna are all extremely delicious ingredients for sushi, so Huo Sining can understand why these Dongyang people only focus on catching these types of fish.

For cod and eel, Huo Sining is not particularly keen on them, as their market price is rather ordinary and not worth Huo Sining making a fuss over.

But these dozens of bluefin tuna are somewhat rare.

One must know that these things are quite expensive in the market, and these bluefin tuna are not small, each estimated to weigh around 300 pounds.

Bluefin tuna swim fastest of all fish in the sea, reaching speeds of up to 88 kilometers per hour when hunting, usually operating hundreds of meters underwater in deep oceans, having a lifespan of thirty to forty years.

Due to the cold water environment, their meat is fatty, making them high-grade ingredients for sashimi, thus these fish are also considered world-class luxury food and top-tier delicacies.

Over 80% of bluefin tuna worldwide are used for making sashimi and sushi.

The body of a bluefin tuna can be divided into parts like the belly, midsection, red meat, and cheeks.

The surface of the fish is covered with a layer of black scales, and once the scales are removed, the silver-grey body of the tuna is exposed.

In the processing procedure, the head and tail are treated first, then a quarter of the belly loin is cut off, followed by a quarter of the back loin; the cut loin can be sliced into fillets for sashimi or sushi.

There’s a method to this approach, similar to how beef is divided into various grades such as tendon, tenderloin, sirloin, and flank; tuna is also classified in terms of meat quality.

The most expensive part of a tuna is the cheek meat, and each fish only has two pieces of cheek meat; in Dongyang, most restaurants do not sell tuna cheek meat due to its unique quality, only serving it to distinguished guests.

The market price for cheek meat of bluefin tuna can be ridiculously high, reaching over three thousand per Liang.

Yes, not per Jin, but per Liang, with prices so high that only wealthy magnates can afford it.

As for the rest, the belly section of the fish is rich in fat, presenting in pink, so its price is slightly less; next is the midsection, slightly darker in color with a slightly inferior taste, making its price cheaper than the belly section;

The remaining back meat is equally delicious and tender, but with less fat, presenting bright red, making it the cheapest, known as red meat, which is what regular consumers typically eat in Oriental Cuisine Restaurants.

Bluefin tuna generally weigh around 200 pounds; those exceeding 600 pounds are rare, often not seen in a year, but on Huo Sining’s fishing boat, there are indeed four or five big tuna exceeding six hundred pounds.

Typically, tuna over 300 pounds are brought to auctions in Dongyang, and normally, a three-hundred-pound tuna at an auction can fetch at least hundreds of thousands; as for bluefin tuna over six hundred pounds, due to its rarity, it’s estimated to exceed three million.

Therefore, estimating the value, solely from these dozens of bluefin tuna, Huo Sining’s windfall could earn millions; this sea trip, despite encountering unpleasant things, had an unexpected windfall, making it all worthwhile.

Huo Sining stored all these bluefin tuna into her storage ring, as time stands still inside the ring, keeping the fish fresh isn’t a concern.

Regarding the rest of the seafood, since the storage ring has limited space, she could only select and keep a portion from the sea abalones and emperor crabs.

Of course, with her excellent anti-wasting qualities, Huo Sining wouldn’t just leave behind these valuable items for no reason, so she called Wu Jun, Gu Xu, and the others to act as movers, diligently moving the excess fish cargo to the cargo hold of the yacht they rented.

Because Huo Sining acted alone in the cargo hold, Su Qingqing, Su Jinyuan, and Bai Yishan, these young masters and misses had no interest in fishing, nor did anyone think to check the cargo hold below, so none of them noticed Huo Sining’s actions.

The only observant one, Wu Jun, was still dealing with those Dongyang ninjas, completely unaware that Huo Sining quietly took a group of bluefin tuna from the fishing vessel.

However, speaking of it, including Wu Jun, the group was fully focused on punishing these vile Dongyang people upon knowing the bad deeds they committed, none of them thought of checking the fishing vessel’s cargo hold; if it wasn’t for Huo Sining wanting to retrieve the Medicine King Cauldron, she wouldn’t have remembered the cargo hold’s packed seafood.

Until Huo Sining called them up to check the cargo hold, they realized that the fishing vessel had so much fish cargo underneath.

These people all knew Huo Sining opened a Xianyu Shop, so her proposal to package and take away the entire ship’s fish cargo didn’t seem strange; after all, earlier when she took everyone to sea, she planned to catch a batch of seafood.

Fortunately, the ship was well-equipped; it had conveyor belts allowing direct transfer of fish from the cargo hold to the yacht without manual labor, otherwise, they’d be exhausted.

As for those bluefin tuna, Huo Sining didn’t intend to keep them solely for herself; considering her current wealth, money is just numbers, and she doesn’t really care about the millions; however, since the yacht is rented, storing the bluefin tuna in the yacht’s hold means calling for transport trucks once back at Hongqiao Seaport.
