The Hero Became a Succubus, and the Only Way to Level is to… What?!

Kanae awoke drenched in sweat and never more miserable. She tried to roll off the bed, but a naked Gretchen was in the way. She rolled in the opposite direction, but Hilde had blocked her in. They clung to her tightly, breasts pressed right up to her chest and arms. Drool slipped down the side of her chin, recalling their threesome last night. However, the oppressive and stagnant heat put a damper on her memories. This wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t for the mugginess.

With a bit of finangling, Kanae wriggled out of bed and breathed a sigh of relief. Hilde patted the now empty space, then scooted closer to Gretchen in her sleep. She wrapped her arms, legs, and tail around the high elven half-succubus. Claudia and Alicia always seemed to do the same. Maybe it was just their natural inclination to.

Kanae walked over to the closed windows and unlatched them. The wooden flaps flew open, and a gust of wind filled the room in an instant. Sea breeze replaced sweat and stale air. She stuck her head out to let the strong winds of the open ocean whip up her hair.

”Ooh, fresh air— WHOA!” The living grimoire Isabella came too close and a gale sucked her out of the window.

”ISABELLA!” Kanae cried, jumping out of the window to catch her.

They came back soaked in salty seawater. Kanae put Isabella down, collapsing to the ground. The living grimoire wrung water out of her ribbon.

”Ugh. My pages are all soggy.” Isabella groaned.

”Please, stay away from windows.” Kanae sighed, grabbing a towel to dry her hair.

The winds were intense. They must have gotten onto the southwestern wind corridor in the night. Another look out the window, and The Seductress was cutting through the sea effortlessly. When Kanae peeled away, Isabella flew right up to her face.

”Hey, hey. Are you going to have more sex today? Last night’s lesbian succubus threesome really got my ribbon strung. I want more. I need more cunnilingus!” Isabella pleaded.

”You’re more insatiable than I am.” Kanae pushed her out of the window to get changed.

”Don’t deny your own cravings. I’ve seen that look before. You have it under control now, but it’s like an incubating egg ready to hatch,” she said.

Kanae spun around on the living grimoire.

”What do you mean you’ve seen it before? Like in other succubi?” Kanae squinted.

”That’s right. I’ll admit, from the short time we’ve spent with each other, you’re a hornier succubus than most. You even fuck dire beasts! But all succubi are inextricably tied to Satine the Lustful. When she has her clutches around you, it festers like an open wound. Or in this case, roils in your loins!” Isabella erupted into laughter.

”That annoying devil again? Argh! Wait, but I thought I expelled Satine’s influence after destroying her crystal?” she muttered to herself.

”The Devil of Lust has more than one way of getting her claws around you. Any ideas?”

Kanae shut her eyes and thought hard. The blood!

”Two of the Queen-Mother’s daughters infiltrated Radevic during the tournament. I remember now. They splashed the blood of Satine at me… Oh, and Archbishop Patrice having Aisha lace Reen’s cooking with it, too…” Kanae put a hand to her face and sighed.

”Oh, that has to be it!” Isabella snapped her ribbon. ”The blood of Satine is potent. That stuff won’t pass through your body like a glass of water.”

”Fantastic. You said you’ve seen this before. I’m guessing someone in the past who wielded you went through the same thing? How did they get over it?” she asked.

Isabella didn’t answer. She drifted away, whistling to herself.

”Hey! Answer me!” Kanae snatched the living grimoire out of the air.

”Sh-She never got over it! Satine’s control became so severe, she just fucked herself to death and left me all alone…” Isabella stammered.

Kanae gulped.

”I should be fine for now. It comes and goes in bursts. I think…” Kanae rubbed her head, recalling the marathon of sex she had with Runald as a boar.

”Don’t worry, Mistress. It behooves me to keep you alive and around for as long as possible. Your sex life has been the most exciting so far! Here, here. Take a look through my pages. All that hot lesbo sex you had last night should’ve unlocked a new page for you to read!” Isabella flipped open.

Indecipherable scribbles rearranged themselves into legible runes. Legible to a true succubus at least. It was as though an invisible quill had taken to the page, illustrating an image of a flying ziggurat. No, not just any ziggurat. A temple of the Cult of Lust and Depravity!

”Hey, careful with my pages!” Isabella cried when Kanae pulled it closer to her face.

The drawing continued to develop. Figures with wings, tails, and horns that were clearly succubi loomed above the temple. Beneath them, the silhouettes of people kneeled in worship. This page was detailing the cult’s conquest over mankind.

”I already know this stuff though. It isn’t new information.” Kanae frowned.

It suddenly drew a middle finger.

”What the… Isabella, are you doing this?!” Kanae asked.

”Doing what? I’m telling the truth when I say I don’t control what happens in my pages!” Isabella contested.

Kanae looked down again to find that the illustration had wiped clean and was being drawn anew. It showed the six major islands of the Nu-hauta Archipelago. Succubi figures swarmed every island, having enslaved its population. She turned the page to a completed drawing, which showed the same succubi fleeing.

”Hm. Looks like you’re more than just a spellbook. If I’m reading this right, it’s telling me the history of Nu-hauta under succubi control and subsequently repelling them,” Kanae explained.

”That’s odd. My previous owners were never shown anything like that before,” Isabella said.

It could be that the contents of the living grimoire revealed different things to different owners. Necronomicon required scores of deaths to access its knowledge. Meanwhile, Chappy’s pages offered exactly the knowledge someone sought as long as he was sexually sated. Kanae was about to put Isabella away until the book started wriggling.

”Don’t stuff me in a drawer. Take me with you, pleeeease!” Isabella begged.

”Fine, but again— don’t say anything.” Kanae groaned.

The living grimoire saluted with her ribbon.

Kanae tucked Isabella under her arm and was about to leave the room until she heard moaning from the bed. Hilde and Gretchen were feeling each other up. Their arms and legs entangled, the two exchanged deep kisses.

”Kanae…” Hilde moaned, slipping a hand between Gretchen’s inner thighs.

”Your Majesty… Mmm… Yes…” Gretchen in turn squeezed Hilde’s breasts and sucked on her nipples.

They were both still fast asleep and must be acting subconsciously, but unbeknownst to them Kanae had already left the bed.

”Awww, how about you join them first? I want to see another pussy eating train!” Isabella insisted.

”I don’t want to get all sweaty again. Besides, it’ll be a nice bonding experience for them.” Kanae left quietly and climbed up to the main deck.

Few sailors were out. The handful of crew monitored the mast and kept a lookout. They were shirtless and fanning themselves to abate the humidity. Thedia was on the upper deck near the wheel, where she was speaking to a crewman piloting the ship.

”How long do you think?” Kanae walked over and asked.

”Four days at our current speed. The wind corridor will swing more west as we go south and take us directly to Nu-hauta. But we’ll need to be careful. The ocean isn’t without danger,” Thedia said.

”Like what? Hitting a giant block of ice?”

She giggled. ”Not this far south, no. Dangers like sirens, krakens, and coral pillars. If you hear an alluring melody in the distance, plug your ears and stand away from the edge and windows. Krakens are rare and not hostile to ships of this size, but we still run the risk of crashing into those that linger near the surface. Coral pillars are self-explanatory. There are more, but we’ll need a bottle of wine and a nice fireplace to sit next to.”

Kanae glanced out to sea. Four days, huh? The volcano still looked very far away. With every hour that passed, the atmosphere grew warmer and more humid. Lava continued to flow into the water that hasn’t stopped. If Nu-hauta hadn’t sunk into the ocean yet, hopefully they survive the scalding temperatures being so close to the volcano.

”Before we make landfall on Nu-hauta, I’d like to check in on Flotsam. It’s a floating shanty town, composed of ships, debris, and logs strung together by chains. My lady Renya frequented it often when we were out at sea. With any luck, the tidal wave hasn’t destroyed them,” Thedia said.

”If not, then they must’ve spent an entire lifetime of luck.” Kanae grimaced.

A chill ran up their spines. Soft humming tickled their ears, and everyone on the deck shuddered at once.

”Speak of the devil. Sirens!” Thedia hollered, then ran up to the railing and singled out a sailor. ”You, ring the bell.” To another, she said, ”Warn the lower decks!”

Both of them went right to work. The first sailor jumped to the upper deck to hammer the bell incessantly, and the other descended into the bowls of the ship. Thedia stuffed a pair of slime-made plugs into her ears, then handed Kanae a couple.

”These are for you and your companions! And do you remember what I said?” Thedia yelled.

”Stay away from the edge of the ship and windows!” Kanae shouted.

”What?” Her feline ears twitched. ”Never mind! Just go and give these ear plugs to the others!”

Kanae raced back to her room first. Hilde and Gretchen were awake, standing at opposite sides of the bed, seething, and deeply red in the face. They yelled over each other, seemingly unaware of the siren’s singing growing louder.

”Perhaps you should have said something! It’s not my fault you were so into it.” Hilde folded her arms.

”You…” Gretchen growled. ”I was not into it. Had I known it was you, I would not have done what I did!”

”What’s going on?” Kanae asked knowingly with a grin on her face.

”Nothing!” they exclaimed in unison.

”You two can continue bickering later. Put these on. We’re about to run into some sirens, and I’d rather you not end up as fish food.” She tossed them a pair.

They went to the adjacent rooms and gave Petyr, Vestrid, and the others ear plugs, too. As Kanae made her way back to Thedia, sailors were tying themselves to furniture and posts, passing around bottles of liquor to down, and on their knees in prayer. Anything to avoid being a victim of sirens, it seemed.

Back on the upper deck, Thedia was looking south through a spyglass. She handed it to Kanae and pointed into the distance.

”There! On a tiny island!” Thedia directed her.

Kanae followed the finger to a sandy island not much larger than a normal-sized house. Lounging around and swimming about were women of immaculate beauty. Humanoid in appearance, they had spiny fins on their heads and arms. Their long luscious hair didn’t seem affected by the waters. Shining scales beginning at the torso ended in a long finned tail. Bare breasts moistened by sweat and water glistened under the sun. Even though they were still far away, one siren locked eyes with Kanae and beckoned her closer.

”Th… They’re kinda hot…” Kanae swallowed hard.

”Did you say something?” Thedia turned to her.

Kanae shook her head.

”I didn’t hear what you said, but if you’re thinking about flying out to have sex with them, please reconsider!” Thedia exclaimed, having read her mind.

”Yes, Mistress. Yes… Go out and fuck those sirens. You know you want to!” Isabella shouted.

”Hey, no talking!” Kanae slapped the living grimoire.

A commotion startled them. They glanced in the direction of the stairs. A human sailor had burst out and fallen to the ground. His fellows were desperately clinging on to him.

”You idiot! Put on the stupid ear plugs!”

”I can’t hold him for much longer…”

”Let me go! I want to go to them! They’re calling for me to join them for a swim!” the sailor cried.

Thedia whistled sharply and ordered more sailors to pin him down. However, another hypnotized crewman came running out. Vesh chased after from behind, tackling him to the deck.

”I got him!” Vesh exclaimed.

”Captain, we’ve got others below deck that didn’t plug their ears in time!” A sailor ran up to warn.

”I’m docking their pay… Go back down and get the situation handled!” Thedia demanded, and the sailor saluted before diving back downstairs.

”Vesh!” Kanae gasped. ”You don’t have your ear plugs in either!”

The incubus brushed his ears and went pale.

”Oh, shit. I must’ve lost them when I flew after this guy. But I-I’m not entranced like they are though, so… I think I’m fine?” Vesh shrugged.

Wait. Incubi had natural immunity to succubus charm. Maybe it was the same thing against a siren. If that was true, Kanae wondered if Steel Mind tattooed onto her body with Enchanted Ink would protect her, too. Only one way to find out.

”Kanae, what are you doing?!” Thedia’s eyes went wide as Kanae pulled her ear plugs out.

The siren’s melody was loud. Louder than even the ringing bell’s attempt to drown out the singing.

”I’m going to go deal with the sirens. We’d rather not lose any of the crew, right? And who knows if the other ships are fast enough to protect themselves,” Kanae said.

”What was that?” Thedia leaned closer.

”Oh, for the love of… STAY HERE. I’LL BE RIGHT BACK!” She unfurled her wings.

On the way out, Thedia shouted something about closing the sails.

”Yes, yes, yes! That’s it! Go fuck those fishy cunts!” Isabella urged.

”I’m not going to fuck them! Just… uh… kindly tell them to screw off and charm them if I have to,” Kanae said.

The singing intensified. More and more sirens joined the swelling chorus. Kanae flew just above the island, and the hungry gazes of a dozen sea witches stared back. A couple had stopped singing to gesture her down with their webbed fingers.

”If you don’t stop singing, this is going to get very messy,” Kanae threatened.

One siren hissed. Another, who was in the water, used her tail to splash water up and drench Kanae wet. She wiped her face and sighed.

”Look at them. A disguise of demure to hide their bloodthirsty truth. Show them what they’re missing out,” Isabella whispered.

Kanae couldn’t fight it any longer. She landed on the island surrounded by sirens. A particularly busty one slithered up to her, mouth parted slightly to reveal rows of razor sharp teeth. Kanae cupped the siren’s face and planted a kiss on those plump lips, taking it and the others by surprise.

The more they made out, the more the siren blushed. When their lips separated, the ’dangerous’ sea witch was panting heavily and her eyes glossed over. Kanae grabbed her shoulders and threw her into the sand. The others backed away and hesitated to attack, giving her ample opportunity to comb through the scales for an opening until… she found the siren’s pussy at last.

Kanae dragged a wet tongue along the meaty folds and clitoris, which were very similar to any other women living on hand. The siren threw her head back, moaning. She grabbed fistfuls of sand and writhed.

”All those people you drowned at sea and ate… doesn’t compare to being eaten yourself, hmm?” Kanae giggled and flicked her tongue quickly across the siren’s clit.

Two webbed hands tried to push her off, but they were half-hearted attempts. The siren convulsed in a fit of a powerful orgasm. Its elegant and mesmerizing singing voice had been reduced to a howling moan induced from ecstasy. Kanae stood up to wipe her chin. The taste left her shuddering and hungry for more. She cracked a smile and casted Futanari to grant herself a thick and throbbing cock. For the next two hours, she fucked every single siren until they were lying breathless on the island and in bobbing in the water.

One crawled towards the ocean, her pussy dripping with cum. She lifted her head to the sky in an attempt to sing, but her voice was hoarse and ragged. The siren pressed a hand to her throat, sulking.

”Wha… Where am… Damn it!” Kanae cursed after realizing her handiwork.

”Ahhh… That was simply exquisite. And to be covered in my Mistress’ spunk? What an honor,” Isabella mumbled from the ground.

”Kanae!” Thedia waved as The Seductress drew close to the island. ”You did it! The enchanted crew aren’t under the sirens’ effects anymore. You also gave everyone quite the show.”

Kanae gawked at the many Rown ships, where the sailors had gathered on the deck to watch with drinks. She pressed her head into both hands and sighed. Fortunately, the rest of the day went smoothly. No kraken or coral pillar, and certainly not more sirens to impede the journey. At noon the next day, the ship’s bell rang again. But for a very different reason.

”Flotsam ahoy!” a sailor shouted.

Kanae, Gretchen, and Hilde emerged from below deck to an outrageous landmark coming into view. FLOTSAM was painted in bright green on the hull of a large vessel disconnected from the floating town itself. Countless ships bound by rope and chain, or smashed together from the churning seas, formed a giant floating mass. The sailless masts jutting into the skies flew flags from Ortesia, Rown Company, Radevic, East Saviran Trading Association, and more that Kanae didn’t recognize. Criss-crossing gangways and planks connected the ships together. Buildings constructed from salvaged wood and lumber created a town-like settlement out in the ocean. Some ships even had entire trees, though small, growing from them.

Shoddy docks extended out from Flotsam, and ships came and went as they pleased. Sail boats and rowboats set out into open waters to catch fish. Kanae even spotted children climbing and playing on the masts, jumping from beam to beam.

As The Seductress sailed closer to Flotsam, the ship began to hit a blanket of debris that drifted from town. Crates, barrels, ship parts, clothes, and more. Smaller boats sifted through the wreckages, pulling up anything of value.

A group of harpies flew this way, holding white flags. Thedia waved at them. They landed on the ship, and Kanae was surprised to see them dressed in decent clothes despite being this far from the mainland.

”Rown Company! Boy, are we glad to see your flags,” a bucktoothed harpy said.

”And we’re glad to see Flotsam survived the volcano’s eruption. What’s happened?” Thedia asked.

”Thanks to some mages living in town, aye! The waves still blasted us away from where we were anchored. All this rubble your ship’s passing through? About the worst of what we suffered. But things ain’t good here. We’re being raided nightly,” he explained.

”By who? Ortesians?”

”Nah. By islanders from Nu-hauta.”

Kanae and Thedia exchanged uneasy looks. Nu-hauta survived after all, but it didn’t sound like they were going to be friendly.
