The Hero Became a Succubus, and the Only Way to Level is to… What?!

As the clerics escorted Runald from the arena, Kanae thought of her wayward daughters. Yesterday, Rasheena was slated to face Joap to fill in for Revah’s absence. Today, Pan had been moved up to face Joap next. If Revah and Pan weren’t here, they weren’t going to be able to do any more last minute changes.

Kanae glanced up at the booth where Archbishop Patrice and King Turren were seated. There was an empty seat to the king’s right. Grand Eye Analise was too busy to attend, but had promised to be present for the upper tournament. Instead, the beastman Thored, who came in place of Lord Charron, joined as their third. When the archbishop looked up, their gazes met. She offered a reassuring nod.

”Next, we have a returning student back from Highgreen’s Moonlit Avenue after an exchange program— a crowned Mage, Joap Kerring!” Kanae announced.

A young adult now, the fiery-haired human mage stepped out amidst cheers from his peers. He wore a dark blue robe and wielded a simple wooden staff imbued with a crystal at one end. Kanae’s fellow aptitude test partner from years back had been studying a new school of magic at Moonlit Avenue dubbed Sex Magic. She had the fortune of encountering it some time ago. Pan was going to need to be on her toes.

”Hi, Kanae! I don’t plan on going easy on Pan!” Joap waved from below.

”I don’t expect you to.” Kanae smiled, then lifted the voice amplification scroll up to her lips. ”And facing him is my daughter, Pan Toyomi, crowned Shaman!”

Kanae’s third-born daughter with Mitty emerged from the tunnel looking a little peeved. Her Hobgoblin Ancestry gave her skin a red, a little lighter than Alicia and Claudia’s demon complexion, but she seemed more heated than usual. Fists clenched and lips pursed, Pan didn’t so much as look up at Kanae to say hello.

”Your demon friend dragged me through the city. It was embarrassing as three hells. I hope you’re happy.” Pan huffed.

”Uh, oh. Did I walk into some family drama?” Joap asked nervously.

”Pan, let’s talk after. Good luck in your fight. Mom is rooting for you,” Kanae said.

Pan turned the other cheek.

”Root for me, too! We’re buddies, aren’t we?” Joap chimed back in.

”Begin!” Kanae signaled to the combatants.

Pan made the first move. She pulled a tribal-decorated skull of a bull over her face. The empty eye sockets glowed red. A fetish in her hand, a short staff adorned with small bones, rang with wild and mystical magic. Stone totems erupted around Joap, and he preemptively raised a magical barrier to protect himself.

”Chain Lightning!” Pan fired an electrical spell that bounced between each totem, intensifying in size after every one.

Joap held his ground, seemingly confident about his defensive magic. The Chain Lightning spell surged inwards with destructive force. Stray whips of electricity carved into the dirt and lifted rocks into the air. Kanae felt her skin tingle even from a distance.

After casting a single spell, Pan stayed back and watched. The totems she had summoned continued zapping at Joap’s barrier without her needing to do anything. Shamans were sort of like Mages, except their magic wasn’t a converted form of arcane energy. They instead drew from the natural and latent magic around them. From what Kanae had learned under Master Marwin Fransk, spellcasters like Mages, Wizards, Sorcerers, and more tapped into their pools of mana to transform the arcane into spells. Wild spellcasters like Mystics and Shamans used their mana to control and bend the elements that existed in the world. It was partially how the Harpy King’s and his shamans made use of the elementals imbued in them.

If Joap did nothing, the Chain Lightning was going to keep chipping away at his mana. He lifted his staff up, and the area grew chilly. Kanae recognized what he was about to do and flew away.

”Blizzard!” Joap called down a snowstorm of rain and hail.

The stone totems, covered in a layer of ice, stopped channeling the Chain Lightning Spell. Freed from his prison, Joap conjured another spell.

”Triple Cast— Magic Hand!” He created multiple translucent hands that beelined for Pan.

”Yeah, I don’t think so! Call of the Elements!” Pan summoned servants of her own, two wind elemental.

However, they were nothing like what Kanae encountered in Savir. These weren’t humanoid, but entirely made up of coalesced winds. The pair of tornadoes flew right into the Magic Hands, imprisoning them in their whirlwind bodies.

Joap didn’t let up. He fired a volley of firebolts. Pan summoned another totem, this one different from the stone ones. This was made up of wood and vines. For some reason, the Mage’s spells veered away from her and pummeled the totem instead.

Feeling safe, Pan unfurled her wings and flew right for Joap. He didn’t budge. A smirk flashed on his face. Through sheer instinct, Kanae’s daughter realized something was up and abandoned her advance. But she was too close. Magic Hands, hidden behind his back, poured forth like a swarm of bees.

”Oh, shit!” A dozen groping hands restrained Pan and felt her up.

”Hah! What now, Pan? You thought three was all I could conjure?” Joap gloated.

Kanae would much rather not see this, especially having been on the receiving end of sex magic before. The professors behind this new school of magic designed them as a response to succubi, since Highgreen was so close to the succubus nation, Temptation. Boys in the audience were at the edge of their seats. Some had brought spyglasses to get a better look.

”Tch… Damn it, you pervert… If you wanted to fuck me, do it yourself and not with your magic!” Pan growled, the skull mask slipping from her face.

”Wait, can I?” Joap asked, letting his guard down.

In that moment of distraction, Pan took advantage of the opening and shook off the groping Magic Hands. She launched in Joap’s direction again, and he responded by lobbing the entire kitchen sink of spells at her. Unfortunately, her totem which redirected spells took all of the punishment. Realizing his mistake, he erected another barrier around himself.

Pan was prepared this time. Before the shield closed over Joap—

”Lightning Bolt!” Pan fired her spell through the closing hole, and several totems sprung up at his feet, electrocuting him within his own protective bubble.

Joap collapsed to the ground, smoking from head to toe. Kanae put a hand to her face. Well, the school of sex magic almost worked, but its students needed to control their own libido first.

”Victor, Pan Toyomi!” Kanae announced, then descended to meet her daughter on the surface. ”I’m proud of you.”

Pan blushed a little but turned away. The clerics rushed out to help Joap and provided Pan with a bit of healing magic. A recess was next. The audience needed to rest their throats from all the cheering. As Pan left in a hurry, she forgot her mask on the ground. Kanae picked it up and caught up to her daughter in the tunnel.

”Your dad and Teana came out to see you. They’re up in the stands right now. How about we go meet up with them?” Kanae suggested.

”I’m… good.” Pan continued walking.

”Hey, talk to me. Have I done something to make you and Revah angry?” she asked.

”No, Mom. It’s just… we wanna do our own thing, alright? Mikki and Teana’s got a good thing going for them here. Revah and I have our own, and it isn’t here in this school. And we’re not kids anymore. You don’t have to keep hovering over us. And don’t send someone after us again. That’s just weird!”

A pang of guilt pinched at Kanae’s heart. She walked up to Pan and held up the mask.

”Okay, I won’t. Before you leave, don’t forget about this. You left it back in the arena. It’s a good look on you. Do your best in the next fight, alright?” Kanae smiled.

”Thanks, Mom.” Pan took the mask, tied it behind her head, and flew off into the tunnel.

Kanae breathed a sigh of relief. That went a lot better than with Revah. Mikki was right. She needed to be kinder. What the hell was yelling going to do?

Revah never did show up for her match. Archbishop Patrice disqualified her entirely and handed the victory over to her opponent. The rest of the day went on without a hitch. Students faced each other with all they had.

When Kanae rejoined her family in the stands, they were preparing to leave.

”Man.” Reen sighed. ”Runald was great, and then Joap happened. I’m almost ashamed to be his friend.”

”Joap did his best. Until he let his dick think for him.” Kanae patted the dark elf on the shoulder.

”Mama, did you get a chance to talk with Pan? We saw you go after her during the break,” Teana said.

She nodded. ”Yeah. I think it went well. I just wish I got to talk with Revah, too.”

”Teana, Mikki. Maybe you two can talk to your sisters?” Mitty suggested, drawing a frown from them.

”I feel like we’re part of the reason why Pan and Revah are acting weird…” Mikki pressed her fingers together.

Comparison was the death of joy. Ever since Teana started doing better in classes, Pan fell to the wayside instead. There was a time Mikki felt left behind for not being crowned, until she compensated by diving into alchemy and thrived in it. Did Revah feel the same? For not being able to match her sisters?

”We’ll try and talk to Revah.” Teana threw an arm around Nelly and Mikki’s shoulders. ”Better than letting Mama send Minestra.”

”I get it already! In retrospect, that was a terrible idea. I’ll leave Revah to you guys,” Kanae said.

The kids still had the rest of the afternoon and evening, so they all went out together as one big group. Aisha, Mitty, and Moira chaperoned them. Reen went to meet up with Joap to catch up after years apart. Petyr had left a while ago after Runald’s fight. It was the only one she cared to watch. Arenade, that horny bitch, headed back to Brighton for another round with the goblins. That deserved a teasing soon.

Tomorrow was the final day of the under tournament. Spirits were high. Kanae only hoped her family and friends continued to enjoy this special occasion despite the little family spat going on. She returned to Amethyst Hall to wind down, only to run into Minestra slumped over on the table.

”So, you only managed to find Pan?” Kanae folded her arms.

”Your other daughter, Revah, is more slippery than a greased dire boar. Her traps couldn’t contain me for long, but damn were they annoying. I guess this means I don’t deserve your love, since I failed to bring her back…” Minestra groaned.

Kanae embraced the herzulith from behind, running both hands along her back. She leaned in and reached forward to embrace her from behind.

”What? Not feeling up for it?” Kanae asked seductively.

”YES, I AM!” Minestra stood up and swooped Kanae off her feet but tripped after the first step. ”Maybe after some rest…”

Kanae invited Minestra up to the Knight-Commander’s bedchamber. She had the herzulith lie face down in bed, rewarding her with a massage. The four-armed demon was tense all over. Probably from non-stop searching for Pan and Revah.

”Ahh… This is bliss… The bed is full of your scent, too!” Minestra buried her face into the pillow and breathed deeply.

”If you’re going to be weird, I’ll cut this short and kick you out of my room,” Kanae warned.

”No, please don’t! I’m thoroughly enjoying this, thank you.” The herzulith relaxed into the bed. ”Looks like we’re up soon to fight. Heh. I can’t wait to get all four of my fists bloodied.”

”I’m glad some of you are happy to fight. I got dragged into this by force! Archbishop Patrice concocted the whole thing to show off our alliance’s strength.”

”Show off to who? As much as I like overpowering my foes, there’s no point unless someone’s watching. For me, it’s going to be your succubus friends. And that high elf bitch, Petyr. Oh, I want to fight her so bad!”

Minestra and everyone else apparently— wait. She brought up a good point. Did Archbishop Patrice believe Radevic had been infiltrated? By who? Ortesians? The Cult? If so, putting on this tournament actually made sense.

Surely, if agents of the Cult of Lust and Depravity were here, they wouldn’t act up while all this firepower was around…

”What’s happening? Your grip’s lightening up. Was it something I said?” Minestra looked up and asked.

”It’s nothing.” Kanae rolled Minestra over, then climbed into bed to sit on top of her. ”Is Lord Charron still beholden to our alliance? If I go to war with Temptation, will he join us?”

”Y-Yes, of course. As long as you agree to raze the Empire of Ortesia to the ground. He wants that more than anything,” she explained.

The reality was that might not be a promise Kanae could hold onto. One pair of Minesta’s hands stroked her thighs. Kanae grabbed and guided them up to her breasts, then pulled the other pair to cup her butt. The herzulith let out a sigh of delight.

”I want you,” Minestra said.

”I’m yours, you hunky four-armed minx.” Kanae slipped one leg beneath Minestra’s so that they were close enough to trib.

The herzulith sucked in a deep breath and moaned. Kanae casted Turn Horny, and Minestra jolted intensely. They were both so wet, leaking more and more from grinding against each other. Minestra couldn’t take it anymore. She sat upright and embraced Kanae with all four arms. Their lips connected tightly, followed by their tongues wrestling for control between both mouths.

”I’m cumming… Oh, fuck… I’m cumming!” Minestra cried.

Kanae casted Turn Horny repeatedly, intensifying Minestra’s orgasm tenfolds. The herzulith fell backwards into bed. She panted so hard, Kanae thought she might pass out.

Knock. Knock.

”Kanae, it’s me.” Runald let himself in and froze after taking a step. ”Alright… I see you’re busy. I’ll come back later.”

”Stop right there. You’re next.” Kanae exerted a Charm over Runald, compelling him to walk in and close the door.

”W-What about that demon in bed with you?!” he stammered.

”Don’t worry about Minestra. Despite being a herzulith, this one doesn’t last very long and stays passed out for hours.” She grabbed Runald by the collar of his tunic and pulled him into bed for round two.
