The Hero Became a Succubus, and the Only Way to Level is to… What?!

If the Harpy King’s forces were here, Theena must be, too. But where? Kanae had all but a second to look before Nasiri dashed up to them. She weaved her hands like casting a spell. Petyr uttered an incantation that erected a barrier over them. The crowned Monk’s palm strike sent ripples across the protective dome. Inside, Kanae felt the reverberating force traveling painfully through her despite not being hit. Nasiri clenched a fist and paced around the barrier, seemingly biding her time with a smile.

Edirashem guards drawn by the commotion joined the fray. They didn’t hesitate to jump across the separated wagons. Dryoak Consortium members met them in battle with their magical armaments, giving them the upper hand against those without the same. Normal sabers clashed harmlessly against enchanted cuirasses. Magical swords and spears shattered their non-magical counterparts. But the guards were undeterred. Ronoa riders swept across the underbelly of the wagon, flinging bolas at harpy intruders that shot them down. The wagon conductors Kanae had abandoned earlier raced up and rallied the defenders to protect what was basically their home. They were all impressive in their own right, but wholly and hopelessly outmatched.

Kanae casted Mass Charm across the wagon, but she only seized control of a few harpies instead. The guild somehow resisted her completely.

”How?” Kanae gasped.

”Did you just try to charm us?” Riley pulled out a reversal potion from a pouch on her waist and sneered. ”Pretty nifty against succubi. Ortesia paid a hefty sum for me to transport these into Savir. I wanted to tear my nails off playing nice with them to earn their trust. But it worked. I pocketed their gold and kept their payloads. All they have now is water doused with pink dye.”

”What about us? I thought we had a deal!”

The guildmaster loaded a bolt into her crossbow and continued, ”It’s nothing personal, Queen Kanae. I admit, Renya almost convinced me. But in my short time traveling with you and your retinue, I simply assessed that the Harpy King will make for a stronger ally. When I bring this entire wagon to him, he’s going to reward me with elemental powers of my own.”

”Enjoying picking all this up in the sand!” Petyr hoisted the warhammer up for an overhead swing.

Oh, shit. Kanae remembered exactly how Petyr destroyed Errenard DeSalle’s flagship.

Panic flashed in Nasiri and Riley’s eyes.

”PRAIJYA!” Nasiri yelled.

Praijya swooped down with a wand in one talon, and the barrier sputtered out of existence. Before the warhammer hit the wagon, Nasiri twisted it from the high elf’s hands and threw it away.

Locked in close combat, Kanae lashed out with her tail. The dripping maw snapped open to strike Nasiri like a snake, but she evaded every hit. Meanwhile, Petyr threw punches and landed one square in the harpy’s gut.

”Tch. Praijya, deal with this one!” Nasiri grabbed Kanae’s tail and flung her into the sky.

”Ow! No pulling unless you plan to ream me from behind!” Kanae pouted.

”You’re dead!” Praijya cut through the air like a knife.

”Uh, oh…” She flew as fast as her wings could take her.

Somehow, the sun burned hotter than usual. Kanae shielded her eyes against the glare. Away from the shelter of the edirashem’s shade, its fiery rays singed her back and wings. Yet Praijya was perfectly fine.

Down below, the harpies had taken one of the gwarms. They were in the middle of attaching the reins to the back of the rearwagon. Kanae descended and tapped the Collar of Domination. She seized control of the hulking beast, which now thrashed off its captors dumb enough to keep holding onto the reins.

”Stop that!” Praijya casted Dispel, and the gwarmceros calmed down.

Damn it. Spellbreakers were so annoying!

”Before I fuck you, I need you to show me the spell! Otherwise, Skill Drain won’t work. Can you hurry and use Spell Nullification?” Kanae exclaimed.

”Not a chance!” Praijya closed the distance in a split second.

Kanae backed away as sharp talons sliced the air in front of her. A second too late, and she would have been made mince meat out of. The harpy didn’t let up. Praijya laid into Kanae in a flurry of strikes with every intention of cutting her into pieces. Truly, an apex predator in the same league as Talon, the Black Harpy of Talahurah.

However, Praijya’s agility and strength in battle lacked one fundamental principle. Kanae could only have noticed precisely because she fought Talon before. That being, keeping a cool head. She was fighting recklessly. For all the slashes, speed, and raw power, she fought with reckless abandon.

Now that Kanae realized that, the attacks came much slower. She dodged them more easily. Praijya was too used to finishing her opponents off fast. Kanae, as a child, was making a fool out of her.

”Get back here, you little runt!” Praijya snarled.

”Hehe. Who’s the idiot that fell for the bait and switch back in Kandis? Youuuuu~ Catch me if you can! Bleeehhh!” Kanae stuck a tongue out.

”You…” Both of her eyes twitched uncontrollably. ”I’m going to take my time shredding you!”

Kanae felt the red hot fury in Praijya’s roar. She flew through the spokes of the giant wheel, luring the harpy into a game of cat and mouse underneath the rearwagon. Large and heavy nets contained trunks and other cargo that didn’t fit upstairs. Kanae fired bolts of fire from her Ring of Scorching Ray. They hit someone’s poor belongings, sending fiery shrapnel and debris all over the pursuing harpy.

But it wasn’t enough to just lead Praijya on a wild goose chase. Kanae needed her to use Spell Nullification. She stopped fleeing, turned around, and casted Turn Horny. The spell connected with the harpy, who only cackled in response and didn’t slow down one bit.

”What a stupid spell! You want to make me horny with your magic? Go ahead! A simple matter for a simple Dispel!” Praijya laughed and drew her wand to cast on herself.

Kanae cursed under her breath and continued fleeing. She brought up her character sheet to check her own Dispel spell.

[Dispel: Remove an offensive or defensive magical effect.]

An idea came to mind. Dispel didn’t work in returning Kanae back to her original form. What the berinath casted altered her in a different way. Maybe… Kanae spun around and activated Futanari. A large dick, empowered by the Cock Ring of Hardening, sprung erect from between her legs.

”Are you mocking me?!” Praijya slashed for the kill, but Kanae parried the sharp talons with her hard as rock penis.

”See this? It’s what I’m going to fuck you with.” Kanae clobbered Praijya away and drew her other penis weapon— Cockcalibur, transforming it into Titan’s hung dreadmourn rod.

”I’ve killed colossal dire beasts and ground Ortesian champions to sand… and you think whipping out dicks is going to scare me? Bring it! I’ll snap them in half!” she boomed.

Kanae winced. She might not have been a normal human man for years now, but the very thought still made her cringe. Now wasn’t the time to cower though. Edina, Renya, Kris, and Petyr were fighting for their lives on the wagon.

The two of them came to blows. Kanae’s empowered cock had become too hard for Praijya to slice through. Her talons felt like dull butter knives now. But Praijya knew. By now, she knew it was something that couldn’t be dispelled normally. Conflict shimmered inside her, evidenced by the knitted brows and frustrated grunts after each attack.

Being smaller had its advantages, too. The nooks and crannies beneath the wagon served as perfect cover, especially since the underside wasn’t just a smooth surface. Praijya found it difficult to navigate as a grown adult. She hesitated to break anything that might destroy the wagon, too.

Kanae hid behind the skeletal framework. As Praijya passed by, she leaped out and clung onto her back. They went careening to the surface, all the while Kanae humped the harpy’s back.

”Kuh… You perverted fucking… Get that off me— Spell Nullification!” Fed up with Kanae’s nigh indestructible cock, Praijya ended the effects of Futanari.

Finally! Time for the hard part. Kanae and Praijya grappled each other until the latter spread her wings, taking flight out from underneath the wagon and into the sun again. Sharp claws buried into Kanae’s back and tore her wings.

Soon, the two of them were high above the temple city, Vanuis. The battle had drawn on long enough that citizens and guards rushed out to investigate. But the wagon was rolling too far from the city for anyone on foot to catch up safely.

”It’s over, succubus. This is where you die!” Praijya smirked, holding Kanae by the head with her feet talons a hundred feet from the ground.

”You made a big mistake…” Kanae muttered.

”I’m not the one who’s about to become carrion food.” She scoffed.

”Your mistake— is exposing your cunt to me!”

Infused with Titanic Blow, Kanae shoved Cockcalibur upwards into Praijya’s pussy. It knocked the air from the harpy’s lungs. Her entire body tensed up. Her eyes rolled back. The impact fucked her stupid, and they both plummeted.

Kanae and Praijya crashed through the stained glass window of the cathedral. They hit the ground hard, rolling across the chamber over glass shards. What few people were in the modest room screamed and ran for cover behind a pulpit. Others closer to the door bolted away without hesitation.

”Kuh… Just what is… that weapon…” Praijya struggled to get up and winced at every attempt.

”How does it feel having a dreadmourn dick inside you?” Kanae casted several Flash Heals on herself. She staggered over to the brutal harpy and fired off Turn Horny after Turn Horny. Praijya’s winces of pain became winces of pleasure. Panic gripped the harpy, who crawled for the wand that was a few feet away— until Kanae kicked it away.

Cockcalibur began to push and thrust on its own, rendering Praijya weak all over. Kanae grabbed the hilt of the ancient weapon of lust. One good yank and it slid right out of Praijya, who howled like a bitch in heat.

”No, wait—” Praijya pleaded.

Kanae switched on Futanari and plunged her dick into Praijya’s gaping and twitching cunt. Even though the harpy had been stretched by Cockcalibur, a woman’s body didn’t stay like that for long. The sticky and wet folds clenched down on Kanae as if to milk her.

”How does it feel being fucked by a succubus? This is for taking Theena away from her friends! This is for not knowing when to quit! And this one is to make a modest bitch out of you!” Kanae exclaimed after every thrust.

”Ahhh! Stop… it’s too big! I can’t… I’m going to split open if you… aahhhh! Nasiri… My sultan… This succubus’ cock… it’s going to make me cum— Nnnghh!” Praijya writhed in a fit of convulsions and passed out from her orgasm.

Kanae continued pounding Praijya from behind until she climaxed, unloading the biggest load yet into her womb. Now, the moment of truth…

[Congratulations! You are now level 283!

Skill Drain has temporarily acquired Spell Nullification.

Spell Nullification: Cancel magical effect states and switches off triggered spells or skills. The affected target cannot recast or switch on that ability for up to one minute.]

Kanae picked up Praijya’s wand and uttered aloud, ”Spell Nullification!”

Powerful magic dwelling inside Kanae snapped. She grew taller. Her breasts filled in. Fat returned to places that once made her voluptuous. The small wedding dress ripped off until she was bare naked.

At last. At long last. Kanae grabbed her breasts and pumped both fists in victory. She had reclaimed her—

”K-Kanae… Is… is that you?” a voice asked from behind the pulpit.

”Oh.” Kanae whirled around to find her groom, Zayn, peering over the altar with a priest. ”Uhh… Hi, daddy?”

”You’re… a succubus…” Unable to believe what he was seeing, Zayn teetered back and forth before finally collapsing unconscious on his back.

A large group of people led by Quinnsera, Claudia, and Alicia burst through the door. They screeched to a halt half-way into the room and gaped at Kanae.

”Why hello, Kanae. Good to see you again!” Claudia licked her lips.

”High Priestess Kanae? It’s really you… To grace us with your true beauty and form… I’m unworthy!” Quinnsera wiped the drool from her chin and kneeled.

”This is Praijya, the Left Talon of the Harpy King. Err on the side of caution and use extra chains. Make sure she doesn’t escape,” Kanae ordered.

”What about you? What’s going on outside?” Alicia asked.

”Riley betrayed us and went back to the Harpy King’s side. Stay here with Claudia. If the people over at the Duststorm Tabernacle make any moves, I need you two to take care of it. There’s zero chance Jhene doesn’t realize we’re here now,” she explained and launched back out the hole she fell through from.

The hunch proved right. Kanae had a bird’s eye view from the sky, and the Duststorm Tabernacle’s clergy emerged to see what was going on. No doubt they were going to go back and report to Jhene.

Kanae put her wings to work and returned to the edirashem. The rearwagon had already, at a glance, pulled some hundred meters from the rest of the caravan and the gap continued to increase. She struggled to catch up under the searing sun. Her wings and back burned. Her vision blurred. Exhaustion burdened her like an anvil’s worth of weight. Praijya and Nasiri’s plan of attack during the day must have been deliberate. Normally, it made more sense to strike during the night. In Savir, the sun’s unbearable heat served as a stronger advantage… It almost felt like the very light sapped her strength.

The sound of clashing steel neared, and the battle hadn’t abated one bit in Kanae’s absence. She just barely made it to the wagon, throwing herself into the comfort of shade offered by the giant canopy. Sweat dripped down her bare body.

Damn it. She had left Matron’s Regalia behind in the edirashok’s manor after changing into the wedding dress. Fortunately, having attuned to the outfit, Kanae still retained all its associated skills.

”It’s the succubus!” an elven consortium member shouted.

The man charged at Kanae, intending to run her through with his longsword. She deflected his first strike and knocked him to the ground. Before he could get up, she clamped her tail pussy over his face.

”Let me borrow your cock…” Kanae panted, tearing off his pants. She easily coaxed him to an erection, then sat on his stiff member. Stamina filled her being. Something else filled her up, too, right between the legs.

As Kanae stood up, a load of spunk gushed from her pussy. She took her tail off the elf, who had since fallen unconscious after his orgasm.

Fighting took place all over the rearwagon. Well… It was just ’wagon’ now after getting detached from the rest of the caravan. The Harpy King’s forces and the Dryoak Consortium were winning. Each victorious bout, they tossed the loser off into the sands below, leaving them for dead. Miras, the forewagon conductor, fought helplessly against two consortium members. They cornered her at the edge and kicked her over. Harpies soared about, picking up unsuspecting edirashem guards and throwing them off.

”Petyr! Where are you guys?” Kanae shouted, coming around a corner only to run into a horizontal geyser of water.

”Oh, crap! Sorry, Kanae!” Kris apologized and bowed deeply. ”I was aiming for the harpy!”

Kanae followed the explorer’s gaze to the ground. A harpy woman laid against the side of a warehouse, drenched from head to toe in water. Kris was holding onto her enchanted canteen of infinite water source, fingers on the cap and ready to unleash a blast at any moment.

”You’re creative, I’ll give you that. Where are the others?” Kanae asked.

”Stalemate, back where it happened. I tried to jump off the rearwagon to get help, but we were already moving!” Kris cried.

”Let’s go back to them! Maybe we can still turn to the battle,” she insisted, and Kris nodded and beckoned her to follow.

They raced across the wagon as fast as their legs could carry. Fighting took place on the gangways above them, beneath the deck, and even on rooftops. Harpies swarmed the skies looking for easy pickings, and Riley’s consortium goons hunted on the surface.

The narrow passageways gave way to the warehouse square that was originally at the back of the rearwagon. A bright light suddenly flashed from the rooftop.

”Get down!” Kanae jumped on top of Kris, pushing both of them behind the cover of a warehouse building.

An arrow plunged into the spot where they were just a second ago. Ice and sleet covered the entire passage. One second too late, and they would have been turned to icicles.

”Mmm! Kanae… I’m flattered, fortunately not flattened! But my only real love is exploring and treasures…” Kris mumbled from beneath her breasts.

”Sorry!” Kanae off her and peered around.

Theena was on the roof, a prime vantage spot. She had another arrow nocked and ready to fire. Below, a mountain of bones created a source of cover for Edina, Renya, and Petyr to hide behind. Even a death knight— luckily not Cantu— had been turned into a block of ice. The three looked utterly exhausted. Nasiri and Riley, including a large number of their people, hid behind debris and within warehouses. They, on the other hand, exchanged potions to drink.

”How’s it going over there?” Kanae shouted.

”How the fuck do you think?” Petyr growled in return.

”We’re outta potions. Edina over here made me have sex with her to drain my mana. Now I’m pooped, and the last death knight she summoned is a godsdamn iceberg!” Renya exclaimed, sounding pretty miffed.

”Well, sorry! Upkeeping an undead dragon takes a lot of mana, and I’ve thrown like five Legions at them already. How was I supposed to know they still have that much firepower? Told ya we should’ve bailed earlier!” Edina countered.

Both of them erupted into a fit of bickering.

Edina had a point. If the wagon was still parked outside of Vanuis, they might have stood a chance. Out here, they were outnumbered and outmatched. Kanae sighed and made the only sensible choice in stand-off— she stepped out with her hands in the air.

”K-K-Kanae?!” Kris squeaked.

Theena didn’t immediately fire. Nasiri and Riley, however, stepped out of cover to meet her. Kanae walked past her companions and got a real good look at how injured they were. None of them could afford another fight.

”I didn’t recall asking you to surrender. Let alone surrender naked. But look at you, all grown up! Where’s Praijya? Don’t tell me that knucklehead ate sand?” Nasiri frowned in embarrassment, the way one did when a friend went and did something silly.

”Taking a nap with a full belly of cum. But I’m not here to talk about her. We lost. Just take your win and let us go,” Kanae pleaded.

”What are you playing at, Kanae? We have the upper hand. Why would we let you leave?” Riley scoffed, keeping the crossbow pointed at her.

”I wasn’t asking you. I was asking Theena.” She turned her gaze to the rooftop, where Theena’s eyes went wide with confusion.

Even Nasiri and Riley looked up.

”M-Me?” Theena stammered.

”I promised Seven and Kara I’d bring you back to them. Obviously, I failed. The least I can do is go back and tell them you’re okay, but I can’t do that if either Nasiri or Riley have their way. Theena, please. If you cherish your friendship with them, let me put their worries to rest,” Kanae explained.

”What are you planning, succubus? Theena, don’t talk to her!” Nasiri shouted and raised two fists with every intention to strike.

She continued, ”I know you’re a good shot. If we try to leave, you’re going to shoot us down so they can capture us. I’m going to leave with my friends now…” She offered a warm smile to the troubled girl, who mouthed the word ’go’. ”It was good seeing you again. Jump, NOW!”

Petyr picked Edina up by the scruff of her neck and dove off the edge. Renya cursed under her breath repeatedly and shut her eyes before jumping, screaming all the way down.

”Theena, fire! FIRE NOW!” Nasiri took a running start while angrily barked orders.

Kanae ran back down the alley as a bolt from Riley’s crossbow whistled past her ear. She grabbed Kris, and threw both of them off the wagon. Nasiri’s fingers narrowly swiped across Kanae’s neck. A couple of harpies followed suit, but when they saw the wagon leaving, they gave up chasing. On the way down, Kanae unfurled her wings to slow their descent, landing into the vast dunes below.

The wagon continued. Its massive turning wheels stopped for nothing, and soon, the shade provided to them had come and gone. Kanae and Kris trudged through the slippery sands to find the others partially buried.

”Guys!” Kanae scooped handfuls until they could breathe again.

”Fuck! Fuck!” Petyr spat out sand. ”That harpy bitch… How does she keep getting one over me?”

”I don’t want to alarm anyone… but we should get going… I feel… woozy…” Edina mumbled, shielding her eyes from the sun.

”I have an idea!” Kris uncorked her canteen, sending a geyser of water into the sky… that quickly evaporated into steam and vapors. ”Or not.”

Renya had fallen unconscious during the fall. Petyr hoisted the dark elf onto her shoulders. The group tried to make their way back to Vanuis, but the wagon had taken them too far from the city. Not to mention, the sun’s intense heat burned them alive from above and the sands cooked them from below.

One by one, they began to collapse beginning with Edina. Kanae carried her on her back. It was looking like Kris might pass out at any second. None of them were going to make it back at this rate. The heat was so intense, even the sweat wicked off their faces.

”Kanae…” Petyr dropped to her knees and refused to fall any farther. ”You might still be able to make it back… just fly… without us…”

”What? No, I can’t!” Kanae gasped.

”Petyr’s right. My legs won’t move anymore… I think I had a good run. My dad… would be proud…” Kris rolled over onto her back and closed her eyes.

”I’ll go get help. I promise!” She took flight for the Vanuis.

Somehow, the city looked like it had gotten farther compared to when they first started. Kanae pressed on with what little strength she had left. But before she knew it, the hot sands were pressed against her face. She had fallen to the surface at some point.

Kanae crawled, fingers drawing trenches in the ground to cross even an inch. Everything burned. Eventually, she too, rolled over and stared up at the sun. It was so bright, she thought it was Arenade’s signature halo shining down at her.

Distant voices called out, but Kanae couldn’t think straight anymore to figure out who and let the exhaustion take over.
