Urban Martial Saint

The people from the Wanyan Family were extremely shocked to see Ye Qing, to the point where they forgot to make a move. The Cold and Stern Old Man seized the opportunity and urgently said to Zhou Changjin, ”Quick, go bring the Archbishop over!”

The Cold and Stern Old Man knew very well that if they relied solely on their own group to fight head-to-head with the Wanyan Family, they would definitely suffer. However, if they could bring the Red-robed Archbishop, the battle’s dynamics would change. Zhou Changjin and the others were surrounded by the Wanyan Family, making it almost impossible to call for reinforcements. But now, with the Wanyan Family momentarily distracted, it was the perfect chance for Zhou Changjin to go for help.

Zhou Changjin was smart and understood the Cold and Stern Old Man’s intention as soon as he spoke. Taking advantage of the moment when the nearby Wanyan Family members made a slightly slower move, he instantly leaped out of the encirclement and sprinted along the Stone Corridor to find the Red-robed Archbishop.

The Wanyan Family couldn’t understand this foreign language, so they didn’t have a clue what the Cold and Stern Old Man was saying. By the time they realized it, Zhou Changjin had already run far away, and it seemed impossible to catch up with him. Two members of the Wanyan Family started to chase, but they were stopped by the Wanyan Family Elder.

”Don’t chase!” said the Wanyan Family Elder, looking at Ye Qing with a hint of exhilaration on his face. ”Catch Ye Qing for me first!”

Immediately, the Wanyan Family members snapped back to reality. Yes, instead of chasing Zhou Changjin, capturing Ye Qing was the priority. If they could get the Buddha’s Relic in Ye Qing’s hands, then the contents of Mount Duwang wouldn’t be crucial anymore.

A few people quickly surrounded Ye Qing, and the Cold and Stern Old Man grew anxious seeing this situation. Knowing that Ye Qing was connected to the Buddha’s Relic, he naturally didn’t want others to obtain it. Seeing the circumstances, he dashed over to Ye Qing, grabbed him, pulling Ye Qing to his side, and simultaneously swung his free hand toward the approaching Wanyan Family members.

The Wanyan Family members dared not fight him head-on, and by this time, the Wanyan Family Elder had also rushed over. Seeing the Cold and Stern Old Man holding Ye Qing, he frowned and said in a deep voice, ”Hand him over to me, and I can spare your life!”

The Cold and Stern Old Man ignored him, holding onto Ye Qing while battling with the Wanyan Family. At that moment, everyone else began fighting again.

Seeing Ye Qing, the Wanyan Family Elder became even more eager for battle, only wanting to quickly seize Ye Qing. As a result, his attacks became more ferocious, especially with the support of nearby Wanyan Family members, while the Cold and Stern Old Man was disadvantaged by having one hand occupied with Ye Qing. In such a give-and-take situation, it didn’t take long before the Cold and Stern Old Man was completely overpowered, left only with defensive options against the Wanyan Family Elder.

The Cold and Stern Old Man was desperately shouting, but the current situation was clear; even when putting everything into his battle against the Wanyan Family Elder, it was still extremely difficult, let alone under these conditions. If this continued, he would surely suffer a great loss.

Just as he was anxiously contemplating how to change the situation, suddenly, the Wanyan Family Elder grabbed his arm with his right hand. The Cold and Stern Old Man felt a sharp pain in his arm and quickly shook it off, dislodging the Wanyan Family Elder’s grip, but his arm now throbbed with pain, its mobility halved. This made the fight even more challenging.

”Hehehe…” The Wanyan Family Elder sneered continuously, ”I told you earlier, if you don’t want to die, hand him over to me. You still have time, or I’ll have to kill you here with my hands!”

The Cold and Stern Old Man’s face turned grimly pale as he struggled to evade the multitude of attacks, gradually being forced back to the stone wall with nowhere to retreat. As he saw the Wanyan Family Elder’s punches becoming heavier, the Cold and Stern Old Man suddenly lifted the Ye Qing he was holding with his left hand, thrusting him towards the Wanyan Family Elder’s fist. It looked as if he intended for Ye Qing to take this punch instead.

Wen’er, watching the chaotic battle from the side, was startled by the Cold and Stern Old Man’s sudden move, and cried out urgently, ”What are you doing!”

Just as Ye Qing was about to take the punch, the Wanyan Family Elder suddenly shouted and, at the critical moment, altered his fist’s trajectory slightly, avoiding hitting Ye Qing. However, before he could regain his footing, the Cold and Stern Old Man lifted Ye Qing again and threw him at the Wanyan Family Elder. It seemed as if he planned to smash Ye Qing against him.

”Despicable!” The Wanyan Family Elder roared angrily, yet he dared not directly confront him. After all, Ye Qing was the one who knew the whereabouts of the Buddha’s Relic, which was the most critical matter. He deviated his fist at the crucial moment just now to avoid hitting Ye Qing. If Ye Qing were killed, wouldn’t the location of the Buddha’s Relic be lost?

Now, the Cold and Stern Old Man exploited his weakness, using Ye Qing to attack him while shielding with Ye Qing, placing him in a passive position. He couldn’t hit Ye Qing, nor could he let himself be hit by Ye Qing, so he could only turn to evade. However, the Cold and Stern Old Man was much faster, making it extremely difficult for him to dodge, and he ended up in a ridiculously embarrassing situation being chased.

Next to them, Wen’er was gaping in shock, not understanding what was going on. But seeing the Cold and Stern Old Man putting Ye Qing in danger constantly, she couldn’t help but feel extremely anxious. The Cold and Stern Old Man was very strong; if there was a slightest mistake, Ye Qing could end up being smashed to death.

In fact, the most frustrated was Ye Qing. Held by the Cold and Stern Old Man, he was used as both a shield and a weapon, repeatedly facing life-and-death trials, tossed around to the point of dizziness. Yet, in this chaotic struggle, he was the one with the least say, like a puppet being thrown back and forth.

The old man from the Wanyan Family felt incredibly frustrated from being attacked. He evaded for quite a while, but eventually couldn’t hold back any longer and roared, ”Old bastard, don’t think I won’t dare to kill him. Don’t push me, or else, I’ll kill him first, then kill you!”

The Cold and Stern Old Man couldn’t understand what the Wanyan Family elder was saying, and kept attacking with Ye Qing. But this time, the Wanyan Family elder didn’t really evade. He suddenly extended both hands, rushing straight toward Ye Qing.

The Cold and Stern Old Man exerted great strength, and if this hit lands, it could break down even a wall. Of course, Ye Qing himself would also be injured. Previously, the Wanyan Family elder always evaded, but this time he chose not to, letting Ye Qing crash into him.

The onlookers watching nearby couldn’t help but exclaim in surprise. If this collision happened, even if Ye Qing didn’t die, he would be seriously injured!

The Cold and Stern Old Man didn’t expect the Wanyan Family elder to not dodge, instead crashing directly into Ye Qing, which frightened him. He used Ye Qing to repel the Wanyan Family elder, assuming the elder wouldn’t want to kill Ye Qing. But actually, he didn’t want to kill Ye Qing either. After all, he wanted the Buddha’s Relic too; how could he kill Ye Qing like this? However, since the Wanyan Family elder didn’t dodge, this crash was heavy. Could Ye Qing still be alive?

In a moment of astonishment, the Cold and Stern Old Man hurriedly pulled Ye Qing back, wanting to see if Ye Qing had been killed by the impact. But when he pulled him, he couldn’t move him. He looked up and realized just then that the Wanyan Family elder also had his hands on Ye Qing.

”You think you’re the only one who can hold onto him!” The Wanyan Family elder glared fiercely at the Cold and Stern Old Man, shouting angrily, ”Hmph, today I must kill you!”

The Cold and Stern Old Man’s expression changed. The Wanyan Family elder also grabbed Ye Qing, meaning he lost his most valuable weapon. He hurriedly pulled backward, but the Wanyan Family elder was not weak either, pulling Ye Qing with all his strength to bring him to his side.

”Ow, are you two trying to tear me apart?” Just then, Ye Qing suddenly shouted, startling both of them.

Both of them looked at Ye Qing at the same time. The Wanyan Family elder stared at Ye Qing in astonishment, saying, ”You... you’re not dead?”

The impact just now, the Wanyan Family elder felt very clearly, would have been enough to kill Ye Qing. So, he hadn’t even checked if Ye Qing was dead or alive earlier, only wanting to fight the Cold and Stern Old Man to death. Unexpectedly, Ye Qing wasn’t dead and even spoke, leaving him utterly shocked.

Actually, he didn’t know that although Ye Qing had no Inner Strength, he had the power of the Buddha’s Relic and the Devouring Demon Flower within him. The two forces would ensure he wouldn’t die. That collision didn’t have the slightest effect on Ye Qing.

The Cold and Stern Old Man’s thoughts were similar to the Wanyan Family elder’s. Seeing Ye Qing wasn’t dead, he was also astonished. However, after a moment, he quickly came back to his senses, hastily pulling hard at Ye Qing, trying to snatch him away.

Since Ye Qing wasn’t dead, he could still get the Buddha’s Relic from him, so the Cold and Stern Old Man naturally didn’t want to give up.

But the Wanyan Family elder wouldn’t give up either. Seeing Ye Qing wasn’t dead, he let out a sigh of relief, tightened his grip on Ye Qing even more, not loosening his hold, nor letting the Cold and Stern Old Man take him away. Like this, the two of them were pulling Ye Qing back and forth again.

Ye Qing, caught in the middle, was the most miserable one. The strength of the two was enormous, pulling him forcefully like this; it felt as if he was being torn apart by horses. If this continued, his body might really be torn in two by them.

”Stop pulling! Stop pulling!” Wen’er shouted nervously from the side, ”If you keep pulling, you’re going to tear him in half!”

”Heh heh heh...” The Wanyan Family elder sneered at the Cold and Stern Old Man, saying, ”Tearing him in half is fine; after all, I’m holding the top half. As long as he stays alive, he can still reveal the location of the Buddha’s Relic. You can take the two legs back; I don’t believe you’ll get anything out of them!”

The Cold and Stern Old Man didn’t know what the Wanyan Family elder was saying, but he assumed it was nothing good. He didn’t speak, just held onto Ye Qing, pulling with all his might, unwilling to let go. Judging by the stance, even if Ye Qing was torn apart, he definitely wouldn’t let go.
