Urban Martial Saint

Ao Wuchang had just left the courtyard when a young man entered.

”Is Brother Ao home?” The young man called out loudly as soon as he stepped into the courtyard.

Ao Muh Han was sulking in his room, and upon hearing the voice, looked up. Seeing who it was, he immediately came out and said, ”I was wondering who it was; turns out it’s Brother Bai! Come in, come in, please have a seat inside!”

The visitor was named Bai Qinghuan, a member of the Bai Family among the Seven Families, who had always had a good relationship with Ao Muh Han. Moreover, they shared a common trait of being arrogant and conceited playboys, making them extremely like-minded in their bad habits.

Bai Qinghuan walked into the living room and, as soon as he sat down, immediately said, ”Muh Han, I’m here this time on behalf of several Elders of the Bai Family to discuss something with you.”

”Oh?” Ao Muh Han looked at Bai Qinghuan in surprise; he seemed to be talking seriously. What does this mean?

”Brother Bai, if you’re representing several Elders, talking to me isn’t right,” said Ao Muh Han. ”It’s still my father who calls the shots at home. If it’s something from the Elders, why don’t you wait until my father gets back to discuss it?”

Bai Qinghuan sighed and said, ”I’m afraid I can’t discuss this matter with Uncle Ao!”

”What exactly is it that you can’t discuss with my dad?” Ao Muh Han asked curiously.

”Sigh, I’ll just be blunt,” Bai Qinghuan said. ”Muh Han, do you know about Huangfu Ziyu’s order? She ordered the Seven Great Families to hand over their internal power manuals to Ye Qing for research.”

Ao Muh Han’s expression changed and he said in a deep voice, ”Hmph, I think she’s just using this as an excuse to gather all of our secret manuals. She’s very ambitious. She hasn’t been the head of the family for long and is already coveting our manuals. It’s really hateful!”

”Isn’t it just!” Bai Qinghuan immediately clapped and said, ”I can’t stand it either. These manuals belong to each family. Although she manages the Seven Families, she shouldn’t meddle in our internal affairs, right? Besides, these manuals are the guarantee of our power. If she asks us to hand them over, what will the Seven Families be worth in the future?”

”That’s why I say, these manuals shouldn’t be given to her at all!” Ao Muh Han nodded and said.

”Absolutely right!” Bai Qinghuan said. ”Muh Han, I came to discuss this with you. Uncle Ao has a good relationship with General Helian. Not only did Huangfu Ziyu ask for it, but General Helian is also backing her. I reckon if General Helian persuades Uncle Ao, he might hand over the Proud Family’s manuals. The Elders asked me to come to you to try and hold your uncle back, so he doesn’t give the family’s manuals to Huangfu Ziyu. This way, if everyone stands against Huangfu Ziyu together, not even General Helian will be able to say anything!”

”This...” Ao Muh Han scratched his head and said in frustration, ”Brother Bai, you’re one step too late. My dad...my dad has already taken our family’s manuals!”

”What?” Bai Qinghuan was stunned, and after a while, he regained his composure and asked urgently, ”He...he handed the manuals to Ye Qing?”

”Of course!” Ao Muh Han gritted his teeth and said, ”I told my dad not to hand over the manuals. But what happened? Not only did he ignore me, but he also scolded me, saying he’d solve the grudge between me and Ye Qing and told me not to cause trouble anymore. I’m puzzled; do the people of the Proud Family need to fear Ye Qing?”

”Sigh!” Bai Qinghuan sighed and said, ”Uncle Ao is too easygoing, and he trusts General Helian too much. While there’s no doubt General Helian is reliable, the problem is he’s somewhat biased towards Huangfu Ziyu and Ye Qing now. Uncle Ao is still listening to General Helian at a time like this; it’s really not appropriate!”

”What can be done!” Ao Muh Han shrugged and said, ”The Proud Family is still headed by my dad. He doesn’t listen to me. That bastard Ye Qing injured me last time, and I haven’t even settled the score with him. Who would have thought that this rogue suddenly became a top-level master? It’s infuriating. One day, I’ll personally kill him!”

”With Ye Qing’s current strength, getting revenge on him won’t be easy for us!” Bai Qinghuan frowned deeply and, after a moment of silence, suddenly said, ”How about we think of a way to deal with Ye Qing first?”

”Hmm?” Ao Muh Han looked at Bai Qinghuan in astonishment and asked, ”Deal...deal with him? We deal with him?”

”Of course, we kill him!” Bai Qinghuan said with a cold gleam in his eyes, ”That bastard Ye has already caused the death of my Second Brother and Third Brother. I’ve long wanted an opportunity to kill him!”

”Kill him?” Ao Muh Han was startled and said in a low voice, ”Brother Bai, what are you talking about? Ye Qing is General Helian’s favorite now. Let’s not talk about killing him; even if we touch a hair on his head, we won’t be able to handle the consequences. Besides, that bastard Ye Qing is strong. Even my dad isn’t his match, let alone us!”

”Going head-to-head with him is certainly not an option!” Bai Qinghuan said. ”But we can use someone else to kill him!”

”Using someone else? How?” Ao Muh Han was clearly interested; he was eager to deal with Ye Qing.

”Under the current circumstances, whose knife could we use but that of the Corpse Ghost Dragon?” Bai Qinghuan said in a low voice. ”If we can provoke a clash between the Corpse Ghost Dragon and Ye Qing, then Ye Qing’s fate is sealed!”

”Of course I know, but how can we get the Corpse Ghost Dragon to fight directly with Ye Qing?” Aomuhan said, ”The Corpse Ghost Dragon is injured now, and it probably won’t enter Shenchuan City for another ten days. And on our side, we’re hesitant to provoke the Corpse Ghost Dragon, making it really hard for them to clash. Besides, Ye Qing certainly wouldn’t be foolish enough to provoke the Corpse Ghost Dragon. This knife is simply borrowed in vain!”

”Hehe, that’s not quite right,” Bai Qinghuan chuckled, shaking his head, ”Muh Han, Ye Qing is very protective of his men. If his subordinates are in danger, he would do anything to rescue them. If we manipulate this situation a bit, we can definitely lure Ye Qing out!”

Aomuhan was silent for a while and then said, ”Bai Wu, you’re not thinking of capturing Ye Qing’s subordinates to lure Ye Qing into fighting the Corpse Ghost Dragon, are you?”

”Smart!” Bai Qinghuan laughed, ”That’s exactly what I mean.”

”But... wouldn’t that be impossible?” Aomuhan whispered, ”If we capture Ye Qing’s subordinates, whether or not we hurt Ye Qing is one thing, but the family won’t let us off easily.”

”Are you an idiot? We certainly can’t do it ourselves!” Bai Qinghuan said, ”We can lure the Corpse Ghost Dragon’s men to capture Ye Qing’s subordinates. This way, Ye Qing will surely rush to save them. In this scenario, we haven’t lifted a finger, whether he lives or dies has nothing to do with us, who can come after us then!”

”Lure the Corpse Ghost Dragon’s men here?” Aomuhan asked curiously, ”How will you lure them?”

”Hehe...” Bai Qinghuan laughed, ”This afternoon, I went out. Do you know who I saw out there?”

”Who?” Aomuhan asked with curiosity, seeing Bai Qinghuan’s expression looking all mysterious.

”Luan Ping!” Bai Qinghuan paused and whispered, ”Underling of the Corpse Ghost Dragon, Luan Ping!”

”Luan Ping? He dares to enter Shenchuan City?” Aomuhan said in surprise.

”Not only did he enter, but he also brought a Peak Master along!” Bai Qinghuan spoke in a low voice, ”I guess they’re here to buy medicine for the Corpse Ghost Dragon.”

Aomuhan said, ”Seems like the Corpse Ghost Dragon is seriously injured, otherwise, why would they need to buy medicine for him?”

”No matter how injured, it’s still the Corpse Ghost Dragon, killing Ye Qing would be a piece of cake!” Bai Qinghuan said, ”We can lure Luan Ping here to grab Ye Qing’s subordinates, wouldn’t that just solve the problem?”

Aomuhan asked, ”Then how do we lure Luan Ping here to make him capture Ye Qing’s subordinates?”

”Hehehe...” Bai Qinghuan laughed, ”I’ve already thought it through, as long as you come with me to do it, we can definitely have Luan Ping capture Ye Qing’s subordinates. So, what do you say, dare you?”

Aomuhan was silent for a while, then suddenly gritted his teeth and said, ”******, I’m not afraid. As long as we can take down Ye Qing, I’d risk my life gladly!”

”Alright, I’ll come find you in the evening, we’ll act tonight!” Bai Qinghuan stood up, smiling, ”Muh Han, if we succeed in this, not only will we kill Ye, but even Huangfu Ziyu won’t make it out alive. ******, all the grievances we’ve endured, we can finally vent them all out!”

Aomuhan was also thrilled. Ye Qing had severely injured him before, and he harbored deep hatred towards Ye Qing. Huangfu Ziyu had later risen to dominance, suppressing the Seven Great Families, which frustrated him even more, leaving him plotting how to eliminate these two individuals. Now the opportunity had come, and he truly dared to go through with it!

Bai Qinghuan walked out of the Proud family’s courtyard, but did not return to the Bai Family’s side, instead heading directly to a secluded warehouse behind the manor. The warehouse was old and located in a remote area, so very few people ever went there.

Walking into the warehouse, everywhere was cluttered with old, chaotic furniture. He walked to the end of the warehouse and lightly coughed twice.

”How’s it going?” as a voice emerged, someone walked out from the furniture pile at the back of the warehouse, it was Luan Ping!

”They took the bait!” Bai Qinghuan replied with a cold smirk, his voice suddenly changing. No longer was it Bai Qinghuan’s voice, but instead the voice of Shen Qianyue.

This Bai Qinghuan, was actually Shen Qianyue in disguise? Was this scheme actually Shen Qianyue’s plan?

”Are you certain you can lure all these people away?” Luan Ping frowned slightly, speaking in a low voice, ”It’s not that I doubt your ability to lure them away. What I’m worried about is, if you lure Ye Qing and his people out, and the Bloody Monk and Wolf Monk also follow, what should we do? Our targets are the Bloody Monk and Wolf Monk, those two must stay behind!”
