Urban Martial Saint

Not going to fight him head-on?

Everyone looked at Ye Qing in astonishment, not knowing what he meant by this statement.

”Ye Qing, do you have an idea?” Helian Tiehua quickly asked. They had been racking their brains over the Corpse Ghost Dragon issue, and if there really was an idea, that would be excellent.

”I do have a plan, but the approach isn’t entirely honorable.” Ye Qing looked at everyone and slowly shared his thoughts.

After listening to Ye Qing, everyone fell silent for a moment. After a while, Bai Li Xi was the first to slam the table and say, ”Great, this plan is good, I support it!”

The others exchanged glances, and despite their hesitation, they knew this method could indeed drive the Corpse Ghost Dragon away.

”I support it too!” As everyone hesitated, Ding Lianshun nodded in agreement, calmly saying, ”Everyone here is essentially a top master; we value honesty and fairness when dealing with others, and do not wish to engage in dishonorable actions. But let us not forget what kind of character the Corpse Ghost Dragon is. He’s regained thirty to forty percent of his power and has already caused so much carnage. What if he recovers fully? Furthermore, the Corpse Ghost Dragon’s sorcery requires living people for cultivation. He’s lived over three hundred years, killing tens of thousands. He’s fundamentally a killer demon. Against such a demon, is it even necessary to talk about honor or dishonor? Killing him would be a service to mankind, and fulfilling the will of heaven. If anyone thinks this method is dishonorable, let me, Ding Lianshun, handle it, for I am no gentleman and need not bother with honor!”

These words from Ding Lianshun lifted the spirits of those present, leading them to support Ye Qing’s method. Even Helian Tiehua nodded repeatedly and said, ”Ye Qing, let’s proceed as you’ve said. As long as the Corpse Ghost Dragon is dealt with, the means do not matter!”

”That’s good!” Ye Qing nodded slowly, stood up, and said, ”Since that’s the case, let’s not argue further. I’ll go make arrangements; everything should be set before the Corpse Ghost Dragon arrives in Shenchuan City. And everyone should stay in the manor for a few days, ready to guard against the Corpse Ghost Dragon’s attack at any time.”

Everyone agreed without dissent; since they decided to tackle the Corpse Ghost Dragon this way, they naturally knew what to do.

After deciding on the plan, everyone dispersed. Ye Qing took this opportunity to pass by the orphanage. To his surprise, he met Chen Keai there.

Chen Keai is already Lin Tianyou’s girlfriend, and their relationship is very good. This time, when Ye Qing took Lin Tianyou to Medicine King Mountain, Chen Keai knew. Upon learning that Ye Qing and his party had returned, Chen Keai communicated with Lin Tianyou several times but couldn’t reach him, so she went to the orphanage to find Ye Qing.

”Hey, Ye Qing, where have you hidden my Tian You?” Upon seeing Ye Qing, Chen Keai immediately approached him aggressively, loudly demanding, though her face carried a smile. The poor girl was still unaware that Lin Tianyou had met with misfortune.

The death of Lin Tianyou at Medicine King Mountain weighed heavily on Ye Qing’s heart as the most sorrowful matter; en route, he pondered how to explain it to the Lin family and Chen Keai. However, seeing Chen Keai now, everything he had prepared felt chaotic, and he couldn’t speak at all.

Lin Tianyou was already dead; nothing Ye Qing could say would change this fact. He didn’t even dare tell Chen Keai about this, for he couldn’t imagine her reaction upon hearing the news.

Very familiar with Ye Qing, Chen Keai joked, ”What’s wrong? Never seen a beauty before? Dumbstruck? I’m asking you, where’s Tian You? Did he not come back with you?”

”Uh…” Ye Qing took a deep breath, wanting to tell her the truth. But when the words came to his mouth, they suddenly changed: ”Yes, Brother Lin is still there, discussing a new project with some professors, unable to return for the time being.”

”Really?” Chen Keai blinked and said, ”But I couldn’t reach him on his phone.”

”This… This…” Ye Qing felt a wave of panic. He truly didn’t want to disappoint Chen Keai, so he dared not speak the truth. Wanting to tell the truth, yet fearing Chen Keai’s reaction upon hearing Lin Tianyou’s death, he refrained.

”Their… their research project is closely tied to the military district. So now, they are under closed management, entirely sealed in the military zone, unable to contact outsiders until the project is completed.” Ye Qing concocted a lie, glad he had some experience at the border, otherwise he’d be unsure what lie to fabricate.

”Oh, so that’s how it is.” Chen Keai suddenly realized and said, ”I thought you lost my Tian You and didn’t dare to come back to see me.”

Ye Qing shivered again, his forehead covered in cold sweat, and his back soaked through. This was his first time lying like this, and it felt really uncomfortable.

”Don’t worry, Ye and Brother Lin get along so well, he definitely wouldn’t harm your Tian You!”

Fang Tingyun chuckled lightly from the side. All her energy was now focused on the orphanage, and she was busy here every day. Although she still loved Ye Qing, she was well aware of the gap between them. So she buried this love deep in her heart. All she wanted now was to stay at the orphanage and watch Ye Qing from afar, and that was enough for her.

”Oh, you dare to laugh at me!” Chen Keai immediately laughed and lunged forward, reaching out to tickle Fang Tingyun, and the two girls burst into laughter and played together.

Ye Qing stood to the side, watching Chen Keai’s manner, and wanted to tell her the truth, but in the end, he lacked the courage to speak up.

”You guys sit here, I’ll go find someone.” Ye Qing found an excuse and quickly walked out of the room, heading to the corridor in the back before finally wiping the sweat from his forehead.

Taking a deep breath, Ye Qing felt even more depressed. The matter with Lin Tianyou was definitely going to come out eventually. However, how to tell Chen Keai and the Lin family was a big problem, and Ye Qing didn’t know how to handle it.

After a long silence, Ye Qing finally sighed. With the Corpse Ghost Dragon invasion imminent and everything in a mess, it was better to put Lin Tianyou’s matter on hold for now. At least, after dealing with the Corpse Ghost Dragon, then he could address Lin Tianyou’s situation with enough energy to handle it.

Walking down from the teaching building, Ye Qing asked a few staff members at the orphanage and finally found Handsome Fatty Wang in a dorm in the back yard.

Last time at the Shen Family Manor, Handsome Fatty Wang was captured by the Corpse Ghost Dragon and forced to hand over the Gold Silk Armor; it really scared him. Thankfully, Ye Qing went over and also rescued him. After that incident, Handsome Fatty Wang had been much more honest. Since coming to Shenchuan City with Ye Qing, he had stayed holed up in the orphanage, never stepping half a foot outside, afraid that the Corpse Ghost Dragon would find him here.

Handsome Fatty Wang was extremely shrewd and very aware of the gap between the Wanyan Family and the Corpse Ghost Dragon. He dared to offend the Wanyan Family because their power wasn’t enough to dominate the world. He stole from the Wanyan Family, and as long as he could escape, there was hope. But the Corpse Ghost Dragon was different; he was absolutely domineering, and hiding was futile. So, he no longer planned on running, staying at Shenchuan City to watch and see. If even Ye Qing and the others couldn’t defeat the Corpse Ghost Dragon, then he had to accept his fate and obediently follow the Corpse Ghost Dragon’s orders.

When Ye Qing walked into the dorm room, Handsome Fatty Wang was lying on the bed eating snacks. Hearing the sound at the door, he immediately jumped up and tried to run to the back, but Ye Qing grabbed him.

”It’s me, Ye Qing!” Ye Qing said in a low voice.

Handsome Fatty Wang turned to take a look, realizing it was indeed Ye Qing, and immediately exhaled a breath of relief. Then he said unhappily, ”Damn, when did you get back? Why didn’t you let me know? Trying to scare Fat Lord me to death?”

”You’re hiding here, what are you afraid of?” Ye Qing looked around, saying, ”Even if the Corpse Ghost Dragon is smart, could he come searching for you in the student dormitory? I say, you’ve done too many guilty things, that’s why you have no sense of security!”

”Damn, what kind of nonsense are you spouting!” Handsome Fatty Wang glared and said, ”Why exactly are you here? You’re not here just to scold me, are you?”

”Of course not, I’m not as boring as you!” Ye Qing pointed to a chair nearby and said, ”Sit down and let’s talk.”

”I’m not sitting, Fat Lord is used to lying down.” Handsome Fatty Wang said, walking back to the bed to lie down again, crossing his legs and grabbing some seeds to snack on as he said, ”If you’re looking for me, it can’t be a good thing. Let me tell you first, if it’s something life-threatening, don’t look for me, Fat Lord wants to enjoy a few more years of life. And don’t ask me to do hard labor, Fat Lord can’t handle that kind of work!”

”Don’t worry, even if you wanted to risk your life, I wouldn’t ask you!” Ye Qing said irritably, ”Bringing you along would just be a burden, we’d have to split our attention to take care of you!”
