Urban Martial Saint

Ye Qing had no idea that while he was taking a shower, someone had already seen him from head to toe. Walking out of the bathroom and seeing Huangfu Ziyu still unconscious, he didn’t bother putting on his clothes directly. Instead, he took the blood-stained clothes to the bathroom to wash them, making sure to clean the bloodstains off. That way, he’d be able to wear them out tomorrow.

Luckily, the hotel room also had pajamas available for use. However, these pajamas were the kind tied with a belt and had no buttons or zippers, so they hung loosely like a dress, barely covering much. But to Ye Qing, this was still acceptable. After all, Huangfu Ziyu was still unconscious, and he was essentially alone in the room. Wearing the pajamas wasn’t particularly awkward.

On the other hand, Huangfu Ziyu had no idea what was going on outside with Ye Qing and assumed he was still nude. So, she kept her eyes closed, pretending to be unconscious. In fact, her heart was racing uncontrollably. She didn’t know how she ended up in such a predicament, but at this moment, she had no mind to think about it either. Images of Ye Qing in the bathroom kept flashing through her mind, keeping her heart in turmoil and unable to calm down.

Ye Qing, of course, had no idea what Huangfu Ziyu was thinking. After washing the clothes, he hung them under the air conditioning vent to dry. Checking the time, he realized he had spent just over an hour, meaning he had four hours left before his flight. What should he do during this time?

Sitting in the chair, Ye Qing initially intended to lean back and take a nap, getting up again when it was time to leave. However, he hadn’t been sitting long when a sudden pain came from within his body, as if something inside was writhing.

This situation caused Ye Qing’s expression to change. He suddenly remembered the words Shen Tianjun had warned him with outside the Shen Family Manor. Although the Twin Life Gu had been removed from his body, the Twin Gu larvae were still inside him. As long as it was away from the Twin Life Gu for too long, these larvae would hatch and devour his internal organs, which was fatal. Could this strange pain in his body be a sign that the Twin Gu larvae were starting to hatch?

Ye Qing was shocked at the thought, quickly calculating the time since the Twin Life Gu left his body, which was almost twelve hours. If that’s the case, the larvae might really be about to hatch!

Ye Qing turned to look at Huangfu Ziyu lying on the bed. According to Shen Tianjun, to prevent the Twin Gu larvae from hatching, it was best to make contact with Huangfu Ziyu’s body. This way, during physical contact, the aura of the Twin Life Gu would be transferred into his body, stopping the larvae. Ye Qing remembered this, but at this moment, the idea of touching Huangfu Ziyu’s body felt a bit awkward.

How exactly should he make contact? How much contact? These questions had no immediate answers. And most critically, Ye Qing had never encountered such a situation. Looking at Huangfu Ziyu’s stunning beauty, Ye Qing didn’t dare take a single step forward.

Standing there silently for nearly two minutes, the pain inside worsened, and Ye Qing clearly felt something moving inside him. Undoubtedly, it was the Twin Gu larvae. If he didn’t quickly calm the larvae, once they hatched, it would be too late to control them. Therefore, Ye Qing had to make contact with Huangfu Ziyu’s body as soon as possible, or he would be doomed!

Feeling the unbearable pain within, Ye Qing gritted his teeth, took a deep breath, and walked towards Huangfu Ziyu.

Huangfu Ziyu lay on the bed, conscious and fully aware of her surroundings. Hearing Ye Qing approach the bedside, her heart leapt into her throat. She had no idea what Ye Qing intended to do. At the same time, only one thought flickered in her mind: ”What is he going to do? Is he dressed? Should... should I open my eyes?”

This thought lingered for a long while, but Huangfu Ziyu ultimately chose to keep her eyes tightly shut. After all, she had seen Ye Qing in the bathroom earlier, and she felt quite embarrassed. Opening her eyes now, she wouldn’t know how to face the atmosphere in the room.

Listening to Ye Qing’s footsteps getting closer, Huangfu Ziyu’s heartbeat quickened. For some reason, her body began to feel excited. At this moment, all past grievances and suppressed emotions seemed to vanish. This room, the whole world, seemed to be left with just the two of them, and she wanted to know what Ye Qing intended to do.

Finally, Ye Qing reached the bedside, and just as Huangfu Ziyu’s heart was pounding frantically, a large hand suddenly grasped her delicate hand.

This caused Huangfu Ziyu to almost let out a cry of surprise. She had known Ye Qing for some time and was quite aware of his character. Given Ye Qing’s character, how could he take the initiative to hold a girl’s hand?

But, this was indeed happening, and it was her hand he was holding. In that moment, she didn’t know whether to feel surprised or excited. Regardless, the overwhelming excitement and joy nearly caused her to forget what she was doing.

Standing beside the bed, Ye Qing was actually feeling quite embarrassed. With Huangfu Ziyu not awakened, holding her hand made him feel rather despicable. But he had no other choice; in order to survive, he had to hold her hand.

Holding one hand didn’t alleviate the pain much. Ye Qing didn’t know what else to do and reached again to grasp Huangfu Ziyu’s other hand, hoping to lessen the pain.

Feeling Ye Qing’s advances, Huangfu Ziyu’s heart raced, prompting her to open her eyes. Ye Qing was looking back at her awkwardly. With their eyes meeting, the situation immediately became more bizarre.

After a moment of silence, Ye Qing was the first to regain his composure and hastily whispered, ”Miss Huangfu, I mean no offense, I... I’m just...”

”I know.” Huangfu Ziyu shook her head towards Ye Qing, speaking softly, ”You don’t have to say anything. I... I understand your intentions...”

Ye Qing was taken aback. I haven’t said anything yet, and you already understand my intentions? What do you understand? You didn’t misunderstand me, did you?

While Ye Qing was astonished, Huangfu Ziyu suddenly moved, making space beside her and quietly said, ”Ye Qing, Master said, to suppress the Twin Gu larvae, you need to make as much contact as possible.”

Though she didn’t say much, her actions clearly indicated her intention, inviting Ye Qing to lie down.

Ye Qing glanced at the space beside Huangfu Ziyu, then back at her, his heart pounding wildly. He knew about Huangfu Ziyu’s feelings for him, but a lone man and woman together like this was still somewhat scandalous, especially regarding the woman’s reputation. However, Huangfu Ziyu didn’t seem to care about her reputation at all and was still willing to do this, showing her trust and feelings for him. This made Ye Qing’s heart fill with gratitude, and a subtle emotion began to stir within him.

After a moment of hesitation, Ye Qing chose to lie down. The Twin Gu larvae within were restless and the pain was unbearable. He was well aware that if he continued to endure, he probably wouldn’t survive the night. It wasn’t just a matter of life and death for him; if he couldn’t reach the Miao Borderlands, Huangfu Ziyu would also be in danger.

Lying together, the restlessness of the Twin Gu larvae finally calmed down a bit. The original pain gradually dissipated, indicating that the Twin Gu larvae were temporarily suppressed. However, Ye Qing clearly felt that the larvae hadn’t entered a dormant state, so he dared not get up and could only remain lying with Huangfu Ziyu to prevent the larvae from becoming active again. This situation made things somewhat awkward between them, lying together on the bed in silence, unsure of what to say.

This awkward silence persisted until Huangfu Ziyu suddenly spoke up, ”Ye Qing, do you hate me?”

”Hate you for what?” Ye Qing asked in confusion, not understanding what Huangfu Ziyu meant by her sudden question.

”Hating me for dragging you into all this, for leaving you in such a state,” Huangfu Ziyu said in a low voice, turning her head to look at Ye Qing. ”If it weren’t for me, none of this would have anything to do with you. You wouldn’t have to face so many enemies, encounter so much danger, or endure so much hardship. It was my selfishness, my desire to use you that brought you to this point. Don’t you hate me?”

”Hate you?” Ye Qing chuckled softly, shaking his head as he looked at Huangfu Ziyu, ”Miss Huangfu, you know my character well. In my eyes, there is no use, no interest, only right and wrong. I will never compromise with bad people, nor will I stand by as others recklessly harm the innocent. So even without you, I would have still been drawn into this. Miss Huangfu, I have never thought about hating you. I am just grateful, grateful for all you’ve done for me, grateful for the many times you’ve risked everything to save me. For me, you are the most important person in my life. Without you, I might have been long dead, and there would be no question of standing aside.”

Ye Qing’s words eased Huangfu Ziyu’s expression considerably. She looked at Ye Qing quietly, her eyes flashing with joy and affection. An unspoken voice within her constantly reminded her that she had chosen the right man. In this life, in this world, having this man by her side was enough. As for everything else, it suddenly seemed to matter less.

Lying nearby, Ye Qing also felt a rare sense of calm. After this conversation, any previous awkwardness between the two seemed to disappear, leaving only a sense of mutual understanding.
