Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack

Chapter 1679: Chapter 1659: Beautiful Roommate

A young girl dressed in a white gown sits at a quaint table, playing the zither.

The half-open window allows a slanting sunbeam to illuminate the room, casting the shadow of the window frame onto the girl’s hair.

The beautiful melody comes to an abrupt halt as Qianqian enters the room. The girl stands up, gently arranging her bun with a blush on her cheeks, ”I felt a little itchy to play when I saw you hadn’t arrived yet, my apologies if I disturbed you.”

As she spoke, the girl gracefully bowed to Qianqian, who hastily waved her hands in response. What a joke? Was such a trivial matter worth such a solemn apology? Surely she was overreacting?

However, the beauty gave off a really nice vibe... not pretentious at all, but rather healing for the mind and soul.

Perhaps this is the power of beauty?

Even though Qianqian considers herself worldly-wise, the girl before her was unlike any star or internet influencer she had seen before. That pure cleanliness, coupled with a protective aura free from earthly dust, truly invited admiration.

Every smile and frown revealed the elegance of a lady, every word and action reflected the rules and upbringing. Even Qianqian felt uncomfortable in her presence, inexplicably awkward.

Come to think of it, it’s quite reasonable for women to engage in cultivation in this society; possibly it’s either due to astonishing talent or having an affluent background...

”I’m Luo Shiqi, just call me Shiqi. I look forward to your guidance,” Qianqian watched the beauty smile, momentarily enchanted before quickly sobering up, her face adorned with a friendly grin.

”I’m Luo Mier, you can call me Mier. Actually, we share the same family name,” the beauty laughed lightly behind her hand, ”I haven’t been in the dorm long, but there doesn’t seem to be much to tidy up. Everything’s already prepared.” Luo Mier gestured around.

”Were these all arranged by the academy?” Qianqian suddenly widened her eyes.

The two beds on either side stood opposite each other; clothes had been arranged on the left while only exquisite quilts and a tidy bedspread adorned the right.

White gauze curtains also hung from the bed, looking dreamy and surreal, the highlight being the brightly colored porcelain vase on the table with flowers inside...

Are all these prepared by the school?

”Didn’t Shiqi bring anything?” Luo Mier looked at Qianqian curiously, as if she didn’t have anything on her.

Qianqian spread her hands in helplessness, ”I’ll go downstairs to grab them, my sister has them. I was lazy and brought nothing.” She chuckled.

”Shiqi’s sister is here in the academy too? What a coincidence. But it seems we are the only two girls in the Heaven Class...”

”To be precise, just you.” Qianqian sheepishly scratched her head, ”I’ve already been exiled.”

”Exiled? What do you mean?” Luo Mier was instantly surprised.

”Just not a Heaven Class student anymore; accidentally messed up, but it’s fine, I’m in the same class as my sister.” Qianqian shrugged indifferently, asking, ”But if it’s just us two girls... are all the adjacent dorms for boys?”

Luo Mier tried to suppress her odd expression and gently shook her head, ”Only the tenth floor is for us two.”

Qianqian looked at Luo Mier strangely, ”Mier, are you feeling unwell? Your complexion doesn’t look good...”

”It’s probably due to the travel these days,” Luo Mier hurriedly waved her hand at Qianqian, coughing softly, ”But now can’t rest, I need to confirm the academy’s affairs. Won’t Shiqi come with us later?” she asked, with a slightly forlorn expression, ”Thus, it seems it’ll just be me...”

”...We can still eat together. I’m sure my sister will be pleased to see a beauty like you, and being the only beauty in the class, surely you’ll be the center of attention.” Qianqian said with an envious look.

Luo Mier was amused by Qianqian, gently shaking her head, ”As far as I know, we new students this term include only four girls. But there are one hundred ninety-six boys.”

A gender ratio of forty-nine to one?

This truly isn’t the typical center of attention...

”You need to be careful not to be deceived. Some scoundrels like to play with the feelings of innocent girls like you.” Qianqian, joined by Luo Mier, earnestly warned her, ”Let’s walk together after class; I’ll protect you.”

Luo Mier brightened up, ”Really?”

Seeing Luo Mier’s pure demeanor, Qianqian sighed and then nodded heavily, ”Really, otherwise, what if this flower bud of yours gets ruined by evil hands?”

Luo Mier laughed out loud, it must be Qianqian to say something like this?

Moreover, this is an academy, who would dare touch her?

Qianqian became curious; with only four girls, apart from her, He Wenyu, and Luo Mier, who would be the remaining girl?

Wait... wouldn’t that mean He Wenyu is...

Her face changed dramatically, she stood up suddenly.

Under Luo Mier’s surprised glance, she scratched her head awkwardly, ”I’ll go downstairs to check on my sister’s situation, and come back to continue chatting...”

She hurried out of the room, her face filled with urgency...

Yet upon arriving at the sixth floor, she saw He Wenyu.

”Eh? Little... Sister Shiliu?” Qianqian forced herself to correct her address.

Indeed, according to her identity, she was Luo Shiqi, and He Wenyu was Luo Shiliu; changing surnames, who knows if her Godfather would hit her when he knew...

”Shiqi?” Hearing Qianqian’s address, He Wenyu’s mouth twitched, what’s meant by little Sister Shiliu? Pardon, what’s little about her? She subconsciously glanced at her chest.

Qianqian: ”...”

”No, where are you living? You wouldn’t be in mixed gender...” Qianqian anxiously pulled He Wenyu, they hadn’t walked together, thus unsure about this issue.

”I changed dorms... Because there weren’t enough male dorms, they repurposed the empty Huangzi dorm I was in. I now moved to the Dizi dorm, living with a girl.” He Wenyu explained hastily.

Qianqian sighed in relief, ”Scared me, I almost thought you’d be in mixed gender dorm...”

”Impossible...” He Wenyu waved her hands repeatedly, then showed concern, ”How about you?”

”My roommate is a beauty, if I were a man, I’d drool over her type of beauty.” Qianqian chuckled.

Dizi dorm... which implies Mystery Class has no girls.
