Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack

Chapter 1014: Chapter 994: Accidentally Rescued a Big Shot (4)

”He once saved my dad,” the little boy’s face darkened: ”But my dad is still gone.”

”How do you know?” Looking at the little boy, it’s obvious he hasn’t met Luo Shufan.

Anyone who has met Luo Shufan would know just by looking at Luo Qianqian that the two must be related by blood; only, Luo Qianqian’s features are softer.

”Just through phone calls, but I’ve burned all traces. You can verify with your brother; my dad’s name is Anton Moxius.” The boy’s expression was completely natural.

Luo Qianqian’s mouth dropped open, her face full of disbelief.

Anton Moxius? That renowned, promise-keeping arms dealer? Or the world’s largest arms dealer? It defies logic; she’s never heard that this man has a son, and if he died, it should have shocked the world, but there’s clearly no reaction? News outlets haven’t reported anything.

”Then why isn’t it in the news...” Luo Qianqian furrowed her brows, as if she were convinced the boy was hiding something.

”Now, there’s a fake stunt double, touring between countries for a last grab,” the little boy drank his milk, closed his eyes for a moment, then looked back at Luo Qianqian: ”Can I hire you?”

”Last grab for what? What do you want to hire me for?”

”Well, the Moxius family only has stock left, there won’t be any more updates.” The boy pursed his lips: ”I need you to help me get revenge.”

”Revenge? I’m still a minor, you know?” Luo Qianqian rolled her eyes, is he serious?

The boy, however, remained calm, looking at Luo Qianqian: ”My enemies are your enemies too, whether they’re from the Island Country, or even, doesn’t your country have people involved in that plan?”

”From where? What plan? What are you talking about, I don’t understand?” Luo Qianqian was bewildered.

After a brief silence, the boy slowly explained.

Apparently, due to security issues, Anton Moxius had always kept him in the basement of the Moxius mansion, making him study countless knowledge every day, including various languages and observing the operations of Moxius’ family assets.

Unexpectedly, he discovered a problem, Anton Moxius’ brother, his second uncle, had ambitions for power.

Before he could tell his dad, his dad was killed.

That time, he was saved by Luo Shufan, who happened to drive by.

Afterwards, Anton Moxius ordered him to burn all the files and any traces of his existence, and go to the Nightclub Bar to find a woman named Luo Yu, who would take him away to a safe place.

After completing everything, holding the phone, he walked out of the house, and saw on the screen those who had met with his second uncle—the ones who killed his dad. The phone also captured the boy and the mansion behind him, ablaze and irreparable, causing panic, and they were pursuing him everywhere.

Luckily, before being caught, Luo Yu smuggled him into this city. Unfortunately, for some reason, there were minions here; Luo Yu was tragically killed, and he fell into the hands of street thugs, waiting for those people to come and exchange him for money.

However, no matter where he was hidden, he was easily found, so those people chose to keep him in a public place, which wouldn’t attract attention.

Even if found, they had no issues on their hands.

Unexpectedly, with a slip-up, Luo Qianqian heard his cries for help amidst the noise.

That’s how she rescued him.

”When I was in the basement, I already knew about the Nine Heavens Pavilion, the Spirit of Jade, these things are unique to the Pavilion. And behind the Nine Heavens Pavilion stands the Luo family.”

The little boy continued his analysis.

”Luo Shufan is from the Luo family; he’s your brother, so you’re also part of the Luo family, making you related to the Nine Heavens Pavilion.”

”So what?” Luo Qianqian raised an eyebrow, arms crossed, sitting on the sofa, her face inscrutable.

”The Nine Heavens Pavilion is one of the targets for those who want to harm me.” Although the images were blurry, wasn’t the first name under that crimson flag the Nine Heavens Pavilion?

The chart, although in the monitor’s view, he had captured it repeatedly, confirming its authenticity.

Luo Qianqian’s eyes widened in shock, attacking her territory? Dream on!

”Shameless, aren’t they? Do they want everything from you?” Luo Qianqian cursed inwardly, though her face remained unaffected, nodding slightly: ”Then what?”

”Facing them, you won’t mind having one more reason.” The boy looked at Luo Qianqian, smiling: ”I know you’re a superpowered individual.”

What the hell? How do you know?

Luo Qianqian couldn’t help but swear inwardly.

”Do you think you can be this honest with everyone? Or do you think everyone can hear my cries for help? Though I held no hope, I finally felt free.” The little boy looked at Luo Qianqian, his purple eyes swirling like stars, capturing Luo Qianqian...

”You’ll help me kill my enemies; from now on, you’ll be my most devoted servant...”

The boy’s lips curled with a peculiar smile.

He liked being rescued by those with abilities, so he could order them to risk their lives for him!

A moment later, Luo Qianqian rolled her eyes at the boy: ”Do you belong to the spiritual category, or is it an organ? Is it your eyes or a strong spiritual power?”

”How did you?...” The boy looked at Luo Qianqian, shocked, mouth agape.

”Your eyes are beautiful, but unfortunately, they’re ineffective against me.” Luo Qianqian sneered at the boy: ”After dinner, leave by yourself, or I’ll call the police and have you sent to jail.”

Saying that, she turned and went to the bathroom.

With the door closed, Luo Qianqian was drenched in cold sweat; if it weren’t for the bow protecting her mind at the last moment, she really would’ve been controlled by this brat.

Looking at the mirror, cold sweat on her face, Luo Qianqian suddenly felt somewhat dejected.

Is this the real meaning of there always being something greater?

If not for complacency and neglecting one’s own protection, how could she nearly be controlled by a child?

The little boy, sitting on the sofa, also face disbelief.

Even a dead soldier with strong will can be controlled by him, why was this seemingly immature-minded child able to escape?

His eyes showed a hint of confusion, he closed them and gently massaged, his face full of incomprehension.

After dinner, the little boy knowingly opened the door and left, only then did Luo Qianqian breathe a sigh of relief.

”Why did you drive him away?” He Wenyu curiously looked at the heavy-faced Luo Qianqian, puzzled, clearly yesterday she insisted on turning back to save the person, today she discarded him...

”Too young, not innocent, I’m afraid it’ll be a repeat of the farmer and the snake scenario.”
