Transmigrated as a Peasant Baby Who is Pampered by All

Chapter 90: 90 Eggs Are Only for Your Mother

After two days of being busy, once Jiang Hu finished his own family’s affairs, he also went to help out at Liu Yang’s house.

Reciprocity is important, no matter why Liu Yang helped him, he couldn’t just let them work for nothing without feeling justified.

And since the house wasn’t busy anymore, Second Aunt took some eggs and the children to visit Wang Xiang. There weren’t twenty eggs gathered yet, so they only brought five or six for now.

Tie Dan was still unsteady on his feet, needing to be held when walking, and needed to be carried after a while. Xiao Mi didn’t need it; it was rare for his mother to bring him to the village, so he ran ahead quickly.

”Xiao Mi, slow down, don’t fall.” Second Aunt held Tie Dan’s hand, looking at the three children ahead with a loving smile.

Da Wa was leading his two younger sisters at the front. He used to enjoy visiting the village to find other kids to play with. But then, apart from helping at home, in his spare time, he practiced writing at home and rarely came to the village.

However, he still remembered where Liu Hai’s house was, and he didn’t make a wrong turn while leading the way.

Liu Yang and his parents were all out working. The weather had been nice these days, with a little sunshine, perfect for watering the wheat.

Wang Xiang was at home resting in bed, following the doctor’s orders to stay in bed unless absolutely necessary.

Liu Hai had to stay at home to look after his mother, helping her with water and grabbing things for her. If anything happened to his mother, he had to quickly find his father in the fields.

Da Wa and his two sisters arrived first at Liu Hai’s house. Liu Hai was bored in the yard, but seeing his friends made him happy instantly.

”Da Wa, why are you here?” he almost ran over in excitement.

Da Wa, holding the tired Xiao Mi’s hand, with Er Ni beside him, was seemingly overlooked by Liu Hai.

Da Wa said, ”My mom came to visit your mom, where is your mom?”

Da Wa was about half a year older than Liu Hai but had a much steadier personality.

Being the only son, Liu Hai received more love and attention, so compared to Da Wa, who had to work and take care of siblings from a young age, Liu Hai seemed much more lively.

Liu Hai probably still didn’t know what was wrong with his mother, his face only showed excitement at seeing his friends, ”My mom is sleeping.”

Probably awakened by the noise outside, Wang Xiang’s voice came from inside, ”Who is it?”

Da Wa led Xiao Mi and Er Ni a few steps inside, ”Auntie, my mom is here to see you; she’ll be here soon.”

Wang Xiang was surprised, ”Oh, it’s Da Wa, Liu Hai, go get them some water to drink.”

Just then, Second Aunt had already entered the yard, and upon hearing this, she quickly said, ”It’s okay, we’re not thirsty. Liu Hai, you go and play with Da Wa and them; I’ll go and chat with your mother.”

Liu Hai seemed eager, immediately cheering up, ”Okay,” then looked at Da Wa, ”Da Wa, let’s play hide and seek. I haven’t played hide and seek for ages.”

Xiao Mi let go of his brother’s hand and followed his mother into the house, ”Mom, wait for me.”

Er Ni followed them, while Da Wa was pulled away by Liu Hai.

Liu Yang’s house was nice, a brick house. Although there were signs of renovation, it was much better than Jiang’s thatched cottage.

This was the first time Second Aunt had come to the Liu family. If she wasn’t working, she was at home watching the kids. After all, it’s not easy to go out with several kids alone.

It’s strange, not only Jiang Hu but even Second Aunt, also not much mingled with others, spent their days busy with household matters.

If not for Liu Yang and Wang Xiang, they might have become disconnected from the village.

Following Wang Xiang’s voice, Second Aunt accurately found Wang Xiang’s room where she was resting.

Wang Xiang, apparently just awake, was sitting up with a thick coat draped over her shoulders. Seeing Second Aunt, she smiled, ”I was just thinking it’s uncomfortable lying in bed with no one to talk to, and here you are, Second Aunt.”

Second Aunt placed a small bamboo basket she was carrying onto a side table, ”I should have visited you a couple of days ago, but the house has been a bit busy, so it’s been delayed until now.”

”I understand, Liu Yang told me. Second Aunt, please sit, Xiao Mi, Er Ni, have a seat as well.”

Second Aunt took a long bench from the table to the bedside, instructing Er Ni and Xiao Mi not to run around before sitting down.

”How are you feeling, any better?” In this village, she was most familiar with Wang Xiang. Given that Wang Xiang almost had an accident, naturally, she was worried.

Wang Xiang nodded, ”Much better, hardly feel anything now, but the doctor said I need to rest in bed for at least half a month. Even if I feel fine, I’m not daring to get up.”

”There’s no harm in listening to the doctor. I heard from Liu Yang; it was quite dangerous that day.”

Wang Xiang was also a bit scared, carefully touching her belly, ”Yes, it was terrifying that day. I thought I might not be able to keep the child, but the doctor used silver needles to quickly stop it.”

Fortunately, it was just a little bit, not very serious at all.

Second Aunt quickly comforted her, telling her to ease her mind, take good care, and not think about unnecessary things. As long as the child is well, it’s okay.

Wang Xiang understood the severity and was careful to avoid any emotional upheavals. Soon she relaxed again and chatted with Second Aunt.

The two chatted until nearly noon before Second Aunt started preparing to leave.

”By the way, Wang Xiang, there are a few eggs here. The ones we gathered before were sold, so there aren’t many. But don’t disdain them; have Liu Yang make you some sweet egg soup with them.”

As Second Aunt spoke, she took two pieces of coarse cloth for making clothes from the basket, placing the eggs onto the cloth to prevent them from rolling onto the floor.

Wang Xiang said, ”Oh, Second Aunt, why are you giving me eggs? We have plenty at home. Take them back for the kids.”

Second Aunt laughed, ”We have so many chickens; it’s not like we’re skimping on the kids’ food.”

As she finished speaking, she heard the sounds of two children playing outside and called out, ”Liu Hai, come inside.”

Though playful, Liu Hai was polite and quickly ran inside upon hearing Second Aunt call him, ”Auntie, what do you need?”

Second Aunt pointed to the eggs on the table, ”When your dad gets home, tell him these eggs are only for your mom. Make sure he makes her a sweet egg soup every day; it’s good for her health. Understand?”

Liu Hai nodded, ”Okay, thanks, Auntie.”

He understood that the eggs wouldn’t just be placed on the table at home, so these must have been brought by Auntie.

Wang Xiang found it a little strange, ”Second Aunt, what do you mean by that?”

She understood giving eggs, but why could they only be eaten by her?

Second Aunt didn’t hide it, ”The eggs from our house taste better than any I’ve ever tasted before. Once you try them, you’ll know.

When it comes to the same things, naturally, the tastier, the better. Otherwise, why would the restaurants be willing to pay a high price?

As for nutrition or whatever, Second Aunt didn’t know, and others didn’t understand either.

Wang Xiang quickly thanked her, starting to understand a little. After all, with Little Lucky Star in the Jiang family, everything they grew or raised was better than others, so the eggs must be the same.

Second Aunt checked the time and said, ”It’s getting late; you take a good rest, and I should head back to make lunch.”

Her husband was helping at the Liu family, and he would be coming home for lunch soon.
