Strongest Lord by Opening Blind Boxes

Chapter 310: Chapter 247: 40 Green Blind Boxes, Great Secret Treasure

An army of Mountain Giants, in a place like the Golden Sparrow Country or the Celestial Net Country, would be an unstoppable force.

As the ultimate guardians of the Ancient Barbarian Royal Court, they were a force that the average Player was helpless against.

But before Wang Yi and his companions, the Mountain Giants were just fragile Stone Golems, pathetically weak.

Wang Bushi focused solely on bombarding the Mountain Giants, while the nine Monkey Kings powerfully charged their ranks. Xiang Yun cleared out the grunts, the seven Fist Emperor Taisens pushed the battle line forward, and Zhao Wukang provided support from the rear. All the while, Wang Yi drove onward, summoning a Qiankun Universe Blade that filled the air with a dense swarm of Starlight Flying Swords.

It was a total rout!

They were unstoppable!

”Not a single one can put up a fight. This is no fun!”

Wang Yi said with a chuckle. He had fought on the front lines for a while before pulling back. ’Better save some Chaos Energy,’ he thought. He stopped attacking, which also had the benefit of not stealing any experience from Zhao Yun.

”Big Head, you were incredibly brave! It’s thanks to you we were able to open a breach in the 17th Border Barrier. Come here and receive a hundred iron fists from your Lord!”

As he spoke, Wang Yi used his No-Damage Attack, thudding his fists against Man Datou. It was his way of healing him.

In truth, Wang Yi was very satisfied with Man Datou’s growth. When he had first been hatched, he was little more than a strong, fierce man with the strength of a Hundred-man Enemy. But now, having cultivated the Dragon Elephant Skill and Iron Cloth Shirt and enhanced his bloodline, he was a match for ten thousand men among Mortals.

Wang Yi noticed that Man Datou had become a ”Little Witch,” his Physique greatly enhanced. ’It probably won’t be easy to upgrade his bloodline any further,’ he thought, ’but he can still continue to cultivate his Dragon Elephant Skill and Iron Cloth Shirt.’

He had already cultivated his Dragon Elephant Skill to the tenth level, granting him the power of ten dragons and ten elephants.

Furthermore, Man Datou had accumulated significant military merit throughout the campaign and had now achieved the rank of One-Star War General.

Man Datou cried out in pleasure as Wang Yi struck him. Soon, he was completely revitalized, and with a loud ROAR, he charged back to the front lines.

Less than half an hour later, the regional announcement for the fall of the Ancient Battle City rang out. Wang Yi successfully obtained a Supply Treasure Chest. After gathering the rest of the loot, his total haul was 10 Green Blind Boxes, 10 Green Chaos Eggs, and 10 Recruitment Scrolls.

The battlefield was also littered with weapons, armor, and Bronze Firearms. The bodies of the fallen Ancient Barbarian Country nobles could surely be searched for Gold Coins, and the city itself certainly held more supplies to be gathered.

However, Wang Yi couldn’t be bothered with these mundane items, leaving them for Zhao Wukang and the others to handle.

Cleaning the battlefield and looting corpses weren’t jobs the Manzi Camp Soldiers typically did; the Red Tiger Camp was much better at that sort of thing. But with no one else available, Man Datou, Zhao Wukang, and the others had no choice but to do it themselves.

For them, it was a massive undertaking.

Meanwhile, Wang Bushi and Xiang Yun were bored stiff. They volunteered to press the attack, wanting to make a direct strike on the Royal Court.

After a moment’s thought, Wang Yi issued his orders. Man Datou and Zhao Wukang were to rest and reorganize on the spot after collecting the spoils. He, meanwhile, would take Wang Bushi and Xiang Yun to attack the other three Garrison Cities.

This was classic gamer strategy!

Striking directly at the Royal Court was a good strategy, but as a Player, Wang Yi was only in it for the loot. He wanted to farm all the mobs, clear all the resource nodes, and only then seek out the BOSS for a final showdown.

The truth was, Wang Yi felt the rewards for conquering the Ancient Battle City were enormous. If he could get similar returns from the other three Garrison Cities, he’d be over the moon.

With Wang Yi leading Wang Bushi and Xiang Yun on this expedition, there was no need for the Galaxy Airship. He rode the Starlight River, bringing the two of them to the Ancient Barbarian City in less than half a minute.

The battle erupted in an instant. Wang Bushi detonated himself, Xiang Yun was an unstoppable force, and Wang Yi just had to do some stretches in the rear and wait to collect the loot.

Soon, the Ancient Barbarian City deployed its Mountain Giants, which were then swiftly annihilated.

Half an hour later, the Ancient Barbarian City had fallen. Wang Yi then led Wang Bushi and Xiang Yun to the remaining two Garrison Cities.

In less than two hours, Ancient Power City and Ancient Fighting City fell in succession. The 17th Border Barrier of the Ancient Barbarian Country vanished, and the free-exploration zone expanded once again.

Zhao Wukang watched the battles in the three ancient cities through his Scouting Divine Eye, deeply moved. He exclaimed, ”They are truly Divine Generals from the heavens, unrivaled in the mortal realm!”

At this moment, Wang Yi returned, riding the Starlight River, bringing Wang Bushi and Xiang Yun to regroup with the Manzi Camp.

”My son, you’ve given your life enough for one day. Get some rest. We fight again tomorrow!”

Wang Yi said to Wang Bushi, then waved his hand, constructing a deluxe shack.

He then said to Man Datou, Zhao Wukang, and the others, ”The other three Garrison Cities have been breached, but the battlefields haven’t been cleaned up, and the loot hasn’t been collected. That’s all work for you to handle. It’s getting late now. Everyone rest for the night. We’ll fight again tomorrow.”

With that, Wang Yi walked into one of the deluxe shacks.

It was time for him to sort through his spoils.

Having conquered all four Garrison Cities, Wang Yi had obtained a total of four Supply Treasure Chests, 40 Green Chaos Eggs, 40 Recruitment Scrolls, and 40 Green Blind Boxes!

The Recruitment Scrolls were special items that could be used to recruit Stone Golems. Stone Golems are the primary form of Mountain Giants and can eventually evolve into them.

Wang Yi planned to use these Recruitment Scrolls after returning to his territory.

He opened the four Supply Treasure Chests on the spot. They contained food, weapons, and healing items, much to his slight disappointment.

Wang Yi inspected all 40 Chaos Eggs. He deemed about half of them usable, but none were particularly outstanding.

In truth, low-level Chaos Eggs and Chaos Blind Boxes were a huge rip-off for ordinary Players. Without a relevant Talent, hatching Chaos Eggs and opening Blind Boxes was just like the gacha in a pay-to-win game—it all came down to luck, and getting trash was the norm!
