Strongest Lord by Opening Blind Boxes

Chapter 139: Chapter 137: Kobolds, Charge for Me! (Part 2)

Wang Yi crumpled the paper slip in his hand into a ball, tossed it aside, and then slowly took out the Green Blind Box from the Treasure Chest. He muttered to himself, ’Leaving a Green Blind Box just to disgust me? Giant Dragon Lord, you really think you’re something special, don’t you? Fine. I’ll get my revenge when I have the chance!’

Weighing the Green Blind Box in his hand, Wang Yi turned to the others and said, ”Right now, a large number of enemies has probably gathered outside. We’re trapped in here.”

Hearing this, Fish-Transformed Dragon cupped his hands and said, ”Teacher, rest assured. With your student and the Western Factory Brocade Guard here, we will slaughter those insolent enemies until not a single one remains!”

Wang Yi nodded. ”I’ve always been at ease with how you handle things. Don’t worry about me. Just fight your way out!”

”Yes!”

Fish-Transformed Dragon stood up, flicked his Cloak, and leaped onto his Jade Jiaolong, shouting, ”Western Factory Brocade Guard, hear my command! Mount up, Swords and Sabers in hand, and charge out with me!”

The group of Feng Yuxius immediately turned back the way they came, their killing intent palpable.

At this very moment, outside the entrance to C61, hundreds of Ox-headed Wood Knot Monsters had already gathered, with more on the way. They made low ”WOO WOO” sounds from their mouths, appearing dull and sluggish. Most showed no emotional fluctuation, but a few were particularly active, shouting and clamoring as they led the Wood Knot Monsters into the C61 ruins.

At the same time, outside the city ruins, a Kobold force was advancing toward the small train.

Those Kobolds numbered two to three thousand, a complex mix of units. There were cloaked Dog-man Mages, Dog-headed Warriors wielding Nail Hammers, as well as Dogman Villains, Dogman Thieves, Dogman Scouts, Dogman Miners, Dog-headed Warriors, Dogman Witch Doctors, and Dogman Cultists, and so on and so forth.

This was a ragtag army from a great tribal gathering.

Among the Kobold ranks, there were also four off-road armored vehicles.

The drivers were Kobold engineers.

Inside the vehicles were Magic Apprentices, Demon Swordsmen, Great Sword Knights, Minstrels, thieves, and so on—twenty to thirty individuals in total!

These individuals were clearly hatched from Chaos Eggs. They had varied personalities; some chatted excitedly, some were silent, some feigned sleep with their eyes closed, and some just focused on polishing their Great Treasure Swords...

In the sky, there were also five Two-legged Flying Dragons.

The Two-legged Flying Dragons only had two legs. Though called Flying Dragons, they actually resembled giant bats, with fur on their bodies, serpentine necks, and rat-like heads, making for a rather ugly appearance.

Even more terrifying was the emperor-like, giant Red Dragon in the middle of the five Two-legged Flying Dragons.

It was a standard Giant Dragon with four legs, its entire body covered in scales like rubies. It was over thirty meters long, and as it flew, sparks occasionally shot from its nostrils.

Li Bolili was on its back.

She was fiddling with a drone’s remote control. In front of her was a monitor, the screen displaying the massive ”small train” and the Soldiers patrolling outside it.

’This Player seems pretty special. I’ve been exploring here for so long and killed three waves of Players, but all I got was a drone, three clones, and some off-road armored vehicles. A train this big... what Level of ruins did he find it in? And those magnificent mechanical horses, they look so tempting!’

Li Bolili licked her lips. In fact, she had spotted Wang Yi’s small train convoy with her drone the moment it approached the city ruins. Her very first thought was that she had to rob this person!

’Such a cool train, such magnificent mechanical horses—they have to be mine! It’s unbearable that someone else has them and I don’t!’

However, she was wary of this force’s combat strength, so she found the Sufferer, planning to split up Wang Yi’s forces and eliminate them separately.

’After this battle, this big train will be mine. I just don’t know how many of those mechanical horses will be left for me. The Horned Wood Knot Monsters are quite violent!’

Li Bolili patted the scales of the Red Dragon beneath her and asked, ”Isn’t that right, Lucky?”

The Red Dragon gave an arrogant snort, spewing a shower of sparks as its reply.

Soon, the Giant Dragon landed on a dilapidated building. It yawned, shook its wings, and nonchalantly glanced down below.

”Battle begins!”

Li Bolili stood on the dragon’s back and issued the order, ”Kobold army, charge!”

Following her command, the horde of Kobolds immediately accelerated, charging boisterously toward the small train.

”Enemy attack!”

”Who dares come seeking death!”

”Holy cow, they’re not human! They’ve got dog heads!”

”I saw those big birds in the sky earlier! Fuck ’em up!”

”The boss isn’t here, we have to hold the line!”

Zhang Lengzi, Yang Qingniu, and the others had long since noticed the Kobold army’s approach. Now, one used Invisibility and the other used Transformation, and they charged straight out to fight.

At the same time, a dozen or so carriage doors opened, and the Leonidas units immediately charged into battle.

They moved swiftly, forming a line at the very front, shoulder to shoulder, spears at the ready. Facing a Kobold force tens of times their number, they showed not a shred of panic, quickly thrusting their spears in a ruthless slaughter!

Blood splattered.

The moment the two sides clashed, the front rank of Kobolds was instantly riddled with holes, killed on the spot regardless of their class.

The Taisen Brigade and Boyka Brigade then charged out from the flanks of the Leonidas battle formation. They had no formation, but their presence was overwhelming. They were there to brawl, each one like a wild beast, grabbing the small-statured Kobolds and beating them senseless, making many of them cry for their mothers and fathers.

One clever group of Kobolds circled around to the side, attempting a sneak attack.

WHOOSH! A carriage door opened like a drawbridge, revealing a group of Purple-skinned Orc ladies. Ten of them, holding rice pots, shouted, ”Get in the pot!”

Immediately, ten Kobolds flew into the air, their bodies bizarrely shrinking as they soared into the rice pots.

The Kobolds seemed terrified, their charge faltering for a moment. The group of Purple-skinned Orc ladies then pushed out Crossbow Machine Carriages.

”Fire!”

They shouted loudly as Flying Light Arrows sprayed the Kobolds at point-blank range.

Nearby, eight people in green robes used their Lightweight Skill to fly to the top of the small train. They sat in mid-air and laid out a row of coffin-board-like Ancient Zithers.

The sound of the Zithers rose, and Inner Strength transformed into sonic flying knives, slashing into the dazed, onrushing Kobolds and sending blood flying.

Three Fire Fire Evil Gods wearing slippers and picking their noses also appeared. They stepped forward and deliberately took a beating, and were soon pummeled by a group of Kobolds until their noses bled freely. Yet, they stubbornly shouted in unison, ”Harder! I can still take it!”

But when some Kobolds actually tried to keep hitting them, they immediately fought back. Fists swinging—BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!—one Kobold after another was sent flying like a cannonball.

The battle was fierce, but completely one-sided.

Seeing this from her perch on the Red Dragon’s back, Li Bolili cursed, ”Cannon fodder is just cannon fodder! Armored vehicles, advance! Hatching Warriors, attack! Two-legged Flying Dragons, charge and crush them!”

The Red Giant Dragon let out a low roar, as if relaying the command, and the Kobold soldiers immediately launched an even fiercer charge.

The four armored off-road vehicles also drove to the front line and rammed straight toward the small train.

WHOOSH! Another carriage door opened, and Hai Pei drove a Grizzly Tank down from it.

The Grizzly Tank was out of shells; they had all been used up fighting the Earth Deity Xinghai. But its sheer tonnage was still there, and it could still easily crush Kobolds and the like.

Hai Pei was just thinking of driving the tank out for a few laps to contribute to the effort, but his driving skills were poor, and he soon collided with one of the armored off-road vehicles.

CLANG! The Grizzly Tank staggered, and the armored vehicle flipped onto its side. A Magic Apprentice, a Demon Swordsman, two Minstrels, a thief, and three Knights quickly jumped out from inside.

These Soldiers were all hatched units, related to Li Bolili in some way, and a few of them were quite formidable in combat.

Hai Pei drove the tank away and fled.

As the eight of them tried to give chase, Kung Fu’s Number One Killing King, dressed in a Training Suit and cloth shoes, flashed in front of them.

He grinned, and with a single palm strike, the eight Soldiers were sent flying as if hit by a typhoon. Even the overturned armored vehicle on the ground was knocked over a few times, crushing several Kobolds to death.

This sole King Level Soldier revealed his formidable strength the moment he acted.

With Fish-Transformed Dragon and Hai Zhongxian absent, he was now the strongest fighting force openly present.

”HAHAHAHA, have you ever seen a Palm Technique that descends from the heavens!”

Kung Fu’s Number One Killing King roared with laughter and suddenly leaped into the air, leaving a large crater in the ground. His body shot straight into the sky like a cannonball. With his head, he slammed directly into the abdomen of a Two-legged Flying Dragon that was about to dive, forcing its body into an arc. BANG! He ricocheted off it, launching himself even higher into the sky.
