Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest

“Ah! What’s that?!” Titania gasped, looking into the skies.

The Queen of Fairies noticed that a huge battle happened right above the forest. The shields surrounding the entire forest were reinforced thanks to her domain and also Yggdrasil’s “instinctual actions” which sometimes triggered, such as imbuing mana and energies into certain areas, or summoning lesser elemental spirits.

She saw how a black fairy appeared out of nowhere, one with horns which she couldn’t tell if it was a boy or a girl, wearing black leaves as clothes, and using tremendously powerful black magic. The death general leading the flying undead was immediately overwhelmed.

She saw how his sword was stolen and then his entire body was split apart into two with the very sword the fairy took, and that’s without even considering what he did to the undead!

“He wields… Miasma! It is him!” Titania gasped. “The reincarnation of the Demon King of Miasma! At last… he’s really here!”

She felt both fear and excitement, it seemed that the demon king kept his promise, fighting to protect the forest as he promised Planta he would!

With his new fairy-like body, given to him by Yggdrasil, which was already a species of tree capable of birthing fairies themselves he was able to conceal his true form and seem inconspicuous to most.

“Those black clouds… they completely consumed those powerful undead, turning them into ashes instantly?!”

Not only that, as the battle progressed, she also saw how the fairy created a cocoon to protect himself by crystalizing miasma, and also manipulated miasma as if it were a secondary limb.

“Is he… is he really good now?”

As the Queen wondered, she suddenly saw Gaston being split apart, only for a huge portal to suddenly open right after his death.

TRUUUM!

“T-That’s…!”

What she didn’t knew was that every Player that was turned into a Death general had the power to create one of these Undead Gates only once, giving them the incredible advantage of summoning hundreds of undead within seconds in a single spot.

After seeing how he was going to die regardless of what he could do, Gaston immediately went for it, summoning hundreds of undead monsters above the magic shield!

The sheer number of Undead alone weighed over the magic shield, as their nether and phantasmal flames burned over the magic shield instantly, cursing it and weaken it.

“Ah! I have to reinforce the barrier!”

She flew out of her castle, reaching Yggdrasil and touching the gigantic tree.

“Planta, please give me your strength!” Titania cried.

She touched her chest and then channeled the powers that connected her to Planta and also to the Great Spirit of Harvest and Nature!

“{Divine Vessel Awakening}!”

FLAAASH!

Harnessing the powers of the [Aeternitas’ Divine Spiritual Vessel Guardian Protection] Divine Fusion Skill, Titania became the vessel of the Great Spirit, or one of many.

Feeling her divine presence within her, she quickly expanded her powers and harnessed Divine Spiritual Essence!

All through this Skill’s special effects, which Titania had access to as a Divine Guardian and also a Divinity that the others can channel as a vessel.

The aura she gained instantly boosted her barrier and ward creating magic, immediately letting her inject this essence into the magic shield, which was already about to break within seconds of the undead pouring from the gate.

“So many…!”

The Demon King of Miasma looked at the hundreds of Undead incoming and quickly started killing them, spreading his black clouds of miasma and devouring them in masse.

However, because the initial wave was so absolutely massive, he was unable to stop them all in time even though he was mowing them down super-fast!

Crack, crack…!

“The barrier’s going to break…!”

The fairy panicked, trying to release more of his powers, but feeling his small body restricting them and making him feel sickly and dizzy.

“Ugh, this body seals my powers too tightly… if I let them all out, I’ll die! Is this also part of my punishment?” he wondered. “I have to learn how to work with smaller energy reserves instead of trying to release it all at once!”

He quickly spread out the Miasma that he could control at the moment, which he assumed could increase over time as he “leveled up” seeing how he started at Level 1 despite his immense strength.

“{Miasmic Tentacles}!”

Hundreds of tentacles quickly began whipping the undead and destroying them one after another, but more kept coming and moving across the blind spots, attacking the magic shield.

None of them was even attacking him or paying attention to him, they clearly just wanted to destroy the shield and then go down into the forest.

“I WON’T LET YOU!”

Titania and Erebus screamed at the same time.

Titania’s magic materialized at long last, as it reinforced the magic shield and quickly added over ten more layers of defenses through the inherited power of Divine Wards as a Divine Guardian.

At the same time, Erebus roared, swinging his tentacles even more furiously while creating more of them as he surpassed the limits of his body briefly.

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

While spinning over the magic shield, he devastated the undead one after another, by the dozens! The sheer amount of invading undead coming from the gate lowered drastically, giving him and Titania more time.

“He’s really helping me out, he’s not evil anymore?” wondered Titania, gasping. “Erebus was his name…? I’m glad you’ve turned upon a new leaf, Erebus!”

Her voice echoed, reaching Erebus above, the boy glanced at her and blushed a bit.

“T-This is only because I promised Planta that I would do this!” said Erebus. “D-Don’t get the wrong idea! I-I’m still a Demon King!”

Despite how he acted, he was glad he was being relied on.
