Brand New Life Online: Rise Of The Goddess Of Harvest

FLAAASH!

I felt that my senses melded with my soul and that I was melting and spreading everywhere. I was somehow dying and also being reborn at the same time, yet I couldn’t really feel any sort of fear.

It was as if I was becoming one with my surroundings. I was consumed by the soil and became nutrients. My nutrients became trees, the trees feed the animals, then I became the animals.

Over time, an endless cycle where I became everything in nature, from the most unseen and small creature, an earth worm, to a giant tree, and an intimidating bear.

This is not normal, right?

When I finally opened my eyes, I felt refreshed, looking around to find myself… covered with dirt, plants, flowers, and trees growing all over me.

It was as if I had become a small part of the forest and the entire garden.

“Hm? Just what happened?”

“G-Goddess! It seems you woke up quickly… you’ve been unconscious for around twenty minutes now.”

The voice of Jannis echoed from above, my eyes were… somewhere, I could see her.

“Eh?! H-How?!”

“It seems that when you awakened your Naturel Soul, your projection of what was nature was too powerful, you ended being assimilated by it.”

“A-Assimilated? Can I get out of here? Or am I permanently dirt and plants now?”

“Of course not, goddess. Your Domain has become one with you, to simply go back to normal, imagine yourself back to normal.”

“T-That easy- Ah!”

As I imagined it, it happened, I returned to normal.

The strange sensation of becoming one with my Domain disappeared in an instant.

Yet the feeling remained within me, lingering, make me feel a bit nauseous.

It was certainly a… life-changing experience, there’s no other way to say it.

“Phew…!”

As I sighed in relief, I heard Mark and Elena run to my side.

“A-Are you ok?!” wondered Mark. “Out of nowhere you just merged with the dirt and the plants… In BNLO I guess its natural, but it felt a bit… weird right now.”

“Yeah! I thought you would permanently become dirt and plants…” Eleana sighed in relief.

“S-Sorry about that! I got a bit absorbed into the ritual, but I’m ok so don’t worry,” I smiled. “If anything, I gained a new ability, to merge with my Domain, that could come in handy… Hm?”

FLUOSH!

Then I felt something, an ethereal flame of green, yellow, white, and blue color surged from my hands, it was without a doubt…

My Nature Soul!

It felt connected to my very soul, the more I wished for it to emerge, the stronger it felt, expanding everywhere.

It resembled flames but it didn’t work like fire at all though.

This energy- no, this Nature Soul was more like an essence of sorts.

“Jannis, is this my Nature Soul?”

“Y-Yes! I’m impressed you can already wield it without any problems, incredible…”

“Oh, but it’s weird, I thought it was going to be just about… Nature, right?”

“Of course, it’s Nature, its your own concept of Nature, what you believe Nature is.”

“Huh?”

Jannis stood up and walked towards me.

“You see, every Druid- or person, has their own perception of what Nature is,” she said. “To me Nature was of course forests and so on, but I also believed the brightness of the sun and how it illuminated the world was also nature, life was born from it. Therefore, my Nature Soul was strongly that.

Judith is the same but regarding night, the girl had lived most of her live as a nocturnal huntress after all. The night sky, the moon and the stars was her “nature”… Then Rudras, someone that could become a bird since he was four years of age. He loves flying, feeling the wind before his body, seeing the endless horizon ahead.

Therefore, his “nature” is the endless sky and the winds that encompass him and the world! And you… my goddess, your own concept of nature expands even further!”

“E-Even further?” I tilted my head in confusion.

It was nice I heard a better explanation of how Nature Souls form, it seems that everyone has their perception of Nature, and that’s how the Nature Soul is shaped.

It’s not always just “forests, plants, animals”, its just a part of the world which we believe is the “nature” that exists around us.

Yet…

My concept of nature went even further than them?

How so?

“Why do you think it has four colors, my goddess?” she giggled. “Your Nature Soul Embodies four concepts into one. What you believe is nature… the World!”

“T-The World?” I wondered.

“Yes, green is life, all life… Plants, animals, bacteria, insects, everything! Yellow is the Earth we step into, from forests to mountains, deserts, canyons, beaches even, everything. White is the sky and the sun, winds and light the beauty I can also see. And then blue… blue is water, the seas, rivers, lakes.” She said. “Impressive, beyond belief! It is as if you have four Nature Souls into one!

A-And I think there might be more Nature Concepts within it, that might awaken as you grow stronger.”

“I-Is that so?!” I was shocked. “I… I guess I did think about the entire world when I formed the Nature Soul… Then what is its name?”

“Without a doubt, its name would be… Divine Nature Soul of the World, you encompass all creation, my goddess,” Jannis kneeled and bowed, putting her head on the grasslands. “There has never been such an all-encompassing Nature Soul in all of history, you alone, stand supreme in Nature. Your kindness extends to everything within creation.”

“E-Eh? Wait, Jannis, please don’t kneel!” I quickly helped her sit down. “You shouldn’t do such things. I don’t like that! Please, don’t treat me with reverence. I want to be… a family for you, and perhaps a guardian?

A bit?”

“Hah, indeed… my goddess, your kindness is boundless,” the old lady giggled. “Thank you.”

It feels so embarrassing they call me goddess…

I am just a normal human at the end, you know?

I just gained a lot of… supernatural powers, but that’s about it!

[Congratulations, you have awakened your {Divine Nature Soul: The World}!]

And then I heard the World’s Voice.
