My Sister Stole My Mate, And I Let Her

Chapter 536: Chapter 536 AFTER (BONUS Chapter 3)

SERAPHINA’S POV

Maybe it was the heat.

Maybe it was the memory of the last time we’d stood in this kitchen, only to have the moment stolen away before either of us had been ready to let it go.

Or maybe it was simply Kieran.

Because somehow, after everything we’d survived together—after war and loss and impossible odds, after discovering we were mates, rejecting the bond, and then choosing one another every single day—it still felt as though every kiss was the first one we’d ever shared.

Mind-numbing. Intoxicating. Explosive.

It reminded me how thoroughly we’d learned one another since we got together, yet somehow nothing had become routine.

His mouth claimed mine with a hunger that stole every coherent thought from my head, and I met him with equal desperation, my fingers tangling in his hair as if I could anchor myself against the tide of instinct threatening to sweep me away.

Outside, waves crashed rhythmically against the rocks below the villa, but the sound had become little more than a distant heartbeat beneath the roar of blood rushing through my ears.

Kieran’s hands slid to my hips, warm and sure, and he lifted me effortlessly from the floor.

A startled laugh escaped me, dissolving almost immediately into another kiss as my legs instinctively wrapped around his waist.

My entire body fit against his with effortless familiarity, and for one moment I simply reveled in the feeling of being held, suspended between earth and sky by the man who had become my home.

He walked us backward without ever breaking the kiss.

The counter met my lower back, and something rattled beside us. A moment later, a ceramic bowl struck the tiled floor with a sharp crack, chopped onions scattering across the kitchen in every direction.

Neither of us so much as glanced toward the sound.

My legs tightened around him of their own accord, drawing him impossibly closer until there wasn’t a breath of space left between us.

I let out a delighted gasp when I felt his hardness press against me, and electricity rippled through me, originating from the point of contact.

The warmth radiating from his body soaked through me, every nerve ending sharpened by the relentless pull of the mate bond until even the simple pressure of his embrace sent another wave of heat coursing through me.

It felt as though my skin no longer belonged to me. As if fire had replaced blood in my veins.

I buried my face against the curve of his neck, breathing him in with a desperation that embarrassed me only in theory. Cedar. Sea salt. Rain.

Mine.

My hips shifted, pressing harder against his erection, and he groaned.

“Kieran,” I moaned. “I need...” I trailed off; I couldn’t quite put into words exactly what I needed, or how intensely I needed it.

“I know, baby,” he murmured, his lips brushing my temple, “I know.”

His lips trailed lower, lingering against the place where our bond marked my skin. The simple contact sent another shiver racing through me, so intense it bordered on painful.

“It hurts,” I whispered.

Delicious torture but torture all the same.

“I know.” His voice had gone rough around the edges. “I’ll make it better. I’ll take care of you.”

I tipped my forehead against his, smiling despite the ache simmering beneath my skin.

”You can start by taking this off.”

With a swift tug, I caught the towel knotted around his waist and pulled. It unraveled without resistance.

We were still pressed so tightly together that the fabric remained trapped between our bodies instead of falling away, but I’d created enough space to wrap my hand around Kieran’s thick, throbbing erection.

An anguished groan tore from his throat. ”Fuck, Sera.”

His forehead dropped onto my shoulder as though the simple contact had stolen the strength from his legs. I gave him an experimental squeeze, marveling at the velvety heat of him in my palm.

”Gods,” I breathed, unable to stop myself. ”You feel so good.”

”You should...” He drew in a shuddering breath that vibrated through both our bodies. ”You should stop that, or this will be over before it’s even started.”

A breathless laugh escaped me as I buried my free hand in his hair.

”I’m the one in heat,” I reminded him, unable to resist teasing as I deliberately increased the pace of my strokes.

He slowly lifted his head from my shoulder.

When our eyes met, the last threads of restraint disappeared from his expression. His already dark gaze seemed to deepen into something endless, something that swallowed every coherent thought I possessed.

”Oh?” His mouth curved into the faintest smile. ”You’ve got jokes?”

Before I could answer, his hands tightened around my waist, and the world tipped.

One heartbeat I was perched on the counter.

The next, he had lifted me as if I weighed nothing at all, and in a single fluid movement I found myself stretched across the cool kitchen tiles.

The chill beneath my back should have been shocking after the fever consuming me, yet it barely registered against the relentless heat flooding every inch of my body.

Kieran knelt over me, one knee settling between mine as he looked down with an expression that was equal parts devotion and barely controlled hunger.

”We’ll see who’s laughing in a minute.”

His hands found the waistband of my shorts, and unlike every frantic movement that had brought us here, this was slow, torturous.

My breathing grew shallower with every inch of fabric he eased down my legs.

Anticipation coiled tighter and tighter inside me until I could barely think past the certainty that, in another second, he’d finally give me exactly what my body had been begging for since I’d woken up earlier.

Instead, Kieran caught my hips in his broad hands, gently urging my legs farther apart.

A smile tugged at one corner of his mouth.

”This,” he murmured, his voice rough with promise, ”is the dinner I’d rather have.”

And then he stuffed his face between my legs.

I gasped, my back arching off the floor as, without preamble or mercy, his tongue dived inside me.

”Oh, gods,” I moaned, my fingers burying themselves in his hair, tightening until I knew I had to be hurting him.

Kieran groaned against me, but somehow I didn’t think it had anything to do with the sting of my grip. The sound vibrated through me, low and unmistakably appreciative, as though my desperate response only spurred him on.

“You taste so good.” His voice was muffled against my slick folds, and the vibrations only intensified the delicious pleasure coursing through me.

I squirmed and writhed as he licked and sucked, his teeth grazing lightly against my sensitive clit as his tongue dived in and out.

Just when I thought I couldn’t possibly bear another second, one of his hands left my hips and slid upward, slipping beneath my shirt and bra before closing around my breast. He gave my hardened nipple a firm, deliberate pinch.

That was my undoing.

A loud, broken gasp tore from my throat as the pleasure crashed over me all at once, my entire body trembling beneath him.

Kieran didn’t let me pull away, holding me close as he drew out every last wave of my release with the same unwavering devotion that had brought me there in the first place.

I slapped a hand against my mouth to muffle my cries—and then remembered that we were utterly alone in the sprawling villa.

So my hand slipped off my mouth as I surrendered completely, letting every gasp and broken moan spill freely into the night as the orgasm swept through me in one glorious, dizzying wave.

By the time the trembling began to ebb and I could finally draw a proper breath, Kieran lifted his head, his own breathing every bit as ragged as mine.

“Oh gods,” I panted, “that was—fuck!”

Kieran barely gave me a chance to catch my breath before he rose over me and filled me in one powerful, seamless motion.

A cry ripped from my throat as a fresh wave of pleasure crashed through me, so sudden and overwhelming that it stole what little composure I’d managed to reclaim.

I threw my head back, every muscle in my body tightening as he found a relentless rhythm that seemed to unravel me from the inside out.

He leaned over me, burying his face against the curve of my neck, his breathing ragged against my skin as each powerful movement drew another helpless sound from my lips.

I clung to him, my fingers digging into the hard planes of his shoulders, unable to tell where the relentless ache of my heat ended, and the exquisite relief of being in his arms began.

“Phenomenal,” he grunted against my skin. “You feel fucking phenomenal.”

I didn’t know how he was able to say shit with that many syllables because all I could manage were pathetic little whimpers of “oh gods, oh gods, oh gods.”

Before I knew it, the pleasure crested again, stronger than before, ripping through me with breathtaking force.

Kieran groaned as I clenched around him, his body going taut beneath my hands. The powerful muscles of his back flexed under my fingertips as he fought to hold on for just a little longer.

Then the last of his control shattered. A feral growl rumbled from deep in his chest as he found his own release, and the feeling of it sent another wave of pleasure cascading through me—smaller than the last, but no less exquisite.

When it was over, he sagged against me with a weary sigh, catching himself on his forearms before his full weight could crush me.

I slipped my arms around him, drawing our sweat-slick bodies together as our hearts pounded in the same frantic rhythm, each of us breathing the other back down to earth.

For several blissful minutes, neither of us spoke; the only sound in the air was our ragged breathing as we came down from the high.

There had been a time when I believed we’d never have this: quiet moments untouched by duty or crisis, evenings where the greatest catastrophe was a bowl of onions meeting an untimely end on a kitchen floor.

Where the only thing threatening to kill us was the insatiable desire of my heat.

We lay like that for a long time, me tracing absent circles over his shoulder while listening to the slow, steady rhythm of his heartbeat gradually settle.

“I should finish cooking,” Kieran murmured against my fever-warmed skin. “You need sustenance.”

I answered with a gentle push until he rolled onto his back. Swinging one leg over his hips, I settled astride him before slipping my shirt over my head in one fluid motion.

His gaze followed every movement, and the instant his eyes settled on my bare chest, they darkened once again.

I couldn’t help but smile. Slowly, deliberately, I rolled my hips, and the feeling of him stirring eagerly beneath me drew a soft, satisfied sigh from my lips.

“Who needs sustenance,” I murmured, leaning down until my lips found his, “when I have you?”
