Mystic Eyes: My Eyes Steal the Laws of Cultivation

Chapter 650: Last days on the Caravan (11)

His comprehension of the path of lightning had grown, and it had grown tremendously. Now he could see relationships within his Qi that had previously been completely invisible, perceive how the energy accumulated, how his intent influenced its movement, and how the nature of lightning could be transmitted through Qi. He had learned things that he had not even known existed before.

‘I won’t be able to comprehend the aura of lightning yet.’ Kyrian realized this immediately. He was very close, extremely close, but there was still a barrier.

‘I’m extremely close.’

A nearly imperceptible smile appeared on his face. That test had been an extraordinary opportunity. The device had not only tested his comprehension, it had created the perfect environment for his mind to isolate itself from everything and focus completely on his own path. Perhaps, without that seal, it would have taken him months or even years to reach the same point.

‘But I’ve already comprehended enough.’ Kyrian looked at the blindfold, his expression calm.

‘It’s time to finish.’

He didn’t want to waste any more time. He still wanted to obtain the Secret Technique. So his intent changed, and the lightning Qi began circulating through his meridians. This time, it wasn’t a small current but a torrent, and the lightning intent accompanied the energy.

The instant the two forces combined.

‘BOOOOM!’ A thunderous sound swept through the entire arena, and the stands fell silent for a moment.

Then the elder in charge of the test frowned deeply, his voice echoing with an incredulity he could not hide.

“Impossible!”

The other examiners immediately looked at him, and the elder stared at Kyrian.

“Is that…” His eyes narrowed.

“…the aura of lightning?”

Another elder immediately replied.

“No.” His expression was extremely serious.

“That isn’t possible. Comprehending the aura before the Fusion Realm is almost unimaginable.”

He looked at Kyrian again.

“But that boy…” His voice became low.

“He’s extremely close.”

The first elder took a deep breath.

“What terrifying comprehension.”

All eyes were now on Kyrian. No one else in the arena mattered anymore, it didn’t matter whose blindfold was cracked, it didn’t matter who had recovered their sense of touch, and it didn’t matter who had recovered their hearing. Everyone’s attention was focused on that young man.

Kyrian sent his Qi into the blindfold, and the response was immediate.

‘Buzz!’ The blindfold vibrated violently, and a crack appeared in its center.

‘Crack!’ Then another.

‘Crack!’ The fissures began spreading across the silver surface like roots growing through a tree.

The stands erupted.

“Look!”

“Kyrian!”

“His blindfold is cracking!”

“He’s going to do it!”

“He’s almost broken it!”

“How can he be so fast?!”

Kyrian’s Qi continued entering the structure, and his intent was not destroying the seal; it was making it recognize Kyrian’s comprehension. It was as if his energy were saying to the blindfold.

‘I understand. I know this path. I know my Qi. So there is no longer any reason for you to hold me.’

The first thing to return was sound. Kyrian could hear again, not muffled, but completely clear. He heard thousands of people shouting, heard the wind, heard the footsteps of the examiners, and even heard the sound of his own heart.

Then came his sense of touch. The sensation returned all at once, the fabric of his clothes touching his skin, the temperature of the air, the weight of his own body, and the texture of the ground beneath his feet. Kyrian took a deep breath. It was strange; after spending hours without feeling absolutely anything, simply coming into contact with the world felt almost new.

Then his sense of smell returned, the aroma of burning herbs, the smell of metal, and the medicinal fragrance left behind by the participants’ techniques. Everything returned at once, followed by taste and, finally, the sensation of controlling his own body.

Kyrian slowly moved his fingers, then his hand, his arm, his neck, and his shoulders. He had completely regained his ability to move. But the blindfold was still there, and it was cracking.

‘Crack!’ A fissure spread across the entire surface.

Another appeared immediately afterward.

‘Crack! Crack!’ The sound was so clear that everyone in the arena could hear it.

“It’s breaking!”

“He’s going to do it!”

“Look at Kyrian!”

“He’s going to be the first!”

“I knew it!”

“He’s really going to win!”

“I can’t believe this!”

The competitors were also looking, some of those who had recovered part of their bodies completely were astonished. The young man in gray robes looked at Kyrian with an expression of disbelief. He had spent hours trying to comprehend his own Qi, had recovered his hearing, and had reached the point of making his blindfold crack. But Kyrian was about to completely break the seal.

The young man clenched his fists.

“What a monster…”

The black-haired woman also looked at him, her face covered in sweat. She had managed to recover one arm, and that alone had required almost three hours. But that young man had reached something she couldn’t even imagine.

“Did he really comprehend his path to this level?”

The blindfold continued cracking.

‘Crack!’ A large fissure spread across the side.

‘Crack!’ Another split through the center, and the red energy of the runes began flickering, the mysterious patterns losing their stability.

The elder in charge of the test slowly stood up, his eyes completely fixed on Kyrian.

“He’s breaking the seal through his own comprehension…” There was no need to say anything more; everyone understood. Kyrian had not simply found a loophole, he had comprehended the principle behind the device.

The blindfold began to shatter.

‘Crack!’ A small piece fell, then another.

Finally.

‘BOOM!’ The blindfold exploded into countless fragments of silver light, the energy spreading through the air and disappearing. Kyrian stood completely free, his hair slightly stirred by the air current caused by the explosion, a few small bolts of lightning still dancing around his body.

He remained standing for a few seconds, then took a deep breath. The feeling of being completely free again was extremely pleasant.

Kyrian looked at the destroyed blindfold that had disappeared before his eyes, his expression remaining calm. But inside his mind, there was only one certainty: he had won. And he had succeeded exactly as he wanted.

First place. Again.

The entire arena erupted into cheers.

“KYRIAN!”

“HE BROKE IT!”

“FIRST!”

“INCREDIBLE!”

“HE DID IT!”

“WHO IS THIS BOY?!”

“HE’S A MONSTER!”

“HOW CAN SOMEONE IN THE CORE FORMATION REALM HAVE COMPREHENSION AT THIS LEVEL?!”

The voices overlapped, thousands of people shouting at the same time. Kyrian, however, merely raised his eyes, his violet eyes calm. The test was over for him. Now all that remained was to wait for the announcement and, above all, discover what the Secret Technique was that had sparked his curiosity from the very beginning of this competition.
