Life Simulator: Make the Female Demon Regret Her Life

138: Chapter 138: Enter the Simulation to Save the Infected!”Su Fan, come to the Emergency Committee immediately!”

Qin Lulu’s anxious voice came through Su Fan’s communication device.

He took off using Sword Flight without hesitation, darting toward the Emergency Committee like a bolt of lightning...

Two minutes later, in the Emergency Committee’s conference room, the atmosphere was exceptionally tense.

Three standing committee members and seven non-standing committee members sat there with grave expressions, each of their eyes revealing a trace of unease and anxiety.

First Committee Member Commissioner Gu, this former Heaven-Patrolling Expert and Cultivator of the Nascent Soul Realm, was standing at the head of the conference table. His face was filled with a stern expression, and the veins on his forehead slightly bulged, revealing the tension and pressure in his heart.

Commissioner Gu did not waste any words; his voice was low and powerful:

”The mysterious black gas that appeared on the outskirts of the 10th Safe Zone yesterday has been analyzed and identified by experts. It contains a large amount of toxic elements that will not only bring about an unknown plague but is also highly likely to turn humans into zombies. Right now, chaos has broken out in the 10th Safe Zone where people are biting each other. Only by mobilizing the military and the Justice Bureau collectively were we barely able to quell the situation...”

”From yesterday until now, according to preliminary estimates, approximately 500,000 people in the 10th Safe Zone have been infected, and there are still many unknown infected individuals awaiting further confirmation...”

”Last night, hundreds of academicians and experts from the Medical Department held an online joint consultation, working through the night to research a response plan for this plague. The result is...”

After a slight pause, Commissioner Gu said with a sorrowful expression: ”The research result is that it is fundamentally impossible to cope with it, because there is no specific medicine or medical means that can overcome it. The fine particles in this black toxic gas parasitize the human body. Once a person is infected, only brain death will stop the parasitism...”

After saying this, his gaze swept over everyone present, and with a darkened expression, he said: ”Today’s meeting is very urgent, so I will directly read the orders from the Ministry of State Security...”

Everyone’s breathing became rapid. They stared intently at Commissioner Gu, and a suffocating sense of urgency filled the entire conference room...

”First, all one hundred Safe Zones across the country must immediately go into lockdown!”

”Second, isolate the infected!”

”Third, if necessary, eliminate the infected!”

After reading the orders from the Ministry of State Security, Commissioner Gu scanned the crowd again and said in a deep voice:

”The 10th Safe Zone is only two or three hundred kilometers away from our Ninth Safe Zone. From now on, our Safe Zone is not allowed to let anyone out, nor is it allowed to let anyone in. The Military Hospital will screen for infected individuals one by one...”

”For the units you are each responsible for, first, you must maintain information confidentiality; you must absolutely not cause panic among citizens or threaten the city’s harmony and stability. Second, you must perform your duties, follow the deployment, and not leave your posts without authorization. Also, Bureau Chief Su, you stay behind; everyone else is dismissed!”

Su Fan did not expect Commissioner Gu to ask him to stay.

Qin Lulu glanced at him, her eyes filled with worry as she walked out of the conference room.

After everyone else had left, Commissioner Gu looked at Su Fan, then clasped his hands behind his back, turned away from him, and said slowly:

”This disaster is irreversible. The 10th Safe Zone has actually already started eliminating the infected. If infected individuals appear in our Ninth Safe Zone, the Ministry of State Security has already authorized me, and I now formally authorize you to carry out the elimination. This is also your mission, is that clear?”

”Commissioner Gu... is there really no other way?”

Su Fan asked tentatively.

Commissioner Gu still had his back to him and shook his head. ”There is no way. As long as you are within 10 meters of an infected person, regardless of what kind of protective suit you wear, you will definitely be infected. Moreover, the source of this toxic gas is different from the zombie outbreak in Tokyo. The problem we are facing is even more severe. I think... the Ninth Safe Zone should have already seen sporadic infected individuals. You had better go to work now!”

”Yes.”

After Su Fan walked out of the conference room, he saw Qin Lulu waiting for him and said to her: ”The situation is very serious; I must immediately begin working...”

Qin Lulu hugged him directly from behind and rose into the air with him on the Flying Sword: ”Is it to eliminate the infected?”

”How did you know?”

”I could guess it...”

”Once you get close to an infected person, within 10 meters, you will definitely be infected. There are no effective defensive measures. The only solution is to eliminate the infected.”

”Sigh...”

Qin Lulu sighed, ”It would be great if it could be solved without killing people.”

Hearing this, Su Fan’s heart tightened, and he didn’t know what to say.

The two flew to the Military Hospital, and the dean here came up to greet them directly: ”Bureau Chief Su, you’ve finally arrived. We have 1,000 infected people here. The superiors said to hand them over to you for processing. Where do you plan to take them for isolation?”

”Leave them to me; don’t ask about anything else.”

”Oh right, Bureau Chief Su, there is one situation I must report to you. We discovered that among these 1,000 infected, all of them are Mortals; there is not a single Cultivator. Moreover, we also looked at the data from the 10th Safe Zone, and there wasn’t a single Cultivator there either; they were all Mortals,” the dean said.

”Could it be that this toxic gas only affects Mortals? Alright, I understand. You all continue to screen for infected individuals!”

After Su Fan finished speaking with the dean, he reported this information to Commissioner Gu.

As a dozen armored combat vehicles drove in, a special forces unit appeared at the hospital.

The combat company commander walked up to Su Fan and gave a military salute with a sharp ”snap”: ”Ninth Safe Zone Special Forces Company Commander, Special Forces Commander Wang Youde, reporting to you. We have been ordered to come and carry out the mission!”

Su Fan took this special forces company to the isolation building, and Qin Lulu followed by his side the whole time.

Looking inside through the transparent glass, one could see that all 1,000 infected people inside were very violent, attacking each other. If it continued to develop, they would inevitably bite each other, and zombification was just a matter of time.

”Ready!!”

Special Forces Commander Wang Youde ordered the special forces company to set up their rifles.

Preparing to open fire and kill these infected individuals.

Su Fan paced on the spot, while Special Forces Commander Wang Youde waited for him to give the order.

”...Give the order, there is no other way.”

Qin Lulu walked up to Su Fan and persuaded him in a soft voice.

Seeing that he remained hesitant, she stared at him and asked: ”How about... you let me give the order?”

Before Su Fan could speak, she looked at Special Forces Commander Wang Youde: ”Company Commander Wang, I order you in the capacity of an Emergency Committee member...”

”Wait a moment!”

Su Fan suddenly shouted in a low voice.

He looked at Special Forces Commander Wang Youde and ordered: ”Everyone lower your guns, stand by for 5 minutes!”

After saying this, he walked over to Qin Lulu and said to her: ”I need a quiet place where no one will disturb me. Is there one nearby?”

”How about the underground air-raid shelter!”

After Qin Lulu said this, she took him to the underground air-raid shelter.

Su Fan found an absolutely quiet spot, sat down, and said to Qin Lulu: ”Act as my Protector for one minute...”

Although Qin Lulu did not understand what he was going to do, she nodded firmly.

At this moment, Su Fan suddenly awakened the simulator light screen.

He remembered that the guaranteed reward for this simulation was [God-level Healing Technique], which might just be what was needed to deal with this crisis, so he hesitated no longer and directly started the simulator.

”simulator, start simulation.”
