Paragon Of Sin

Chapter 1971 Chapter 1963: One Against All (1)

”Hahahahahaha!” A boisterous laughter filled to the brim with ambitious madness and absolute confidence thundered across the skies. As if responding to his bold declaration, the Globes of Creation across the entirety of Gaia, this grand, expansive battlefield of creationists, unleashed waves upon waves of luminous light!

2,999 Towers of Gaia buzzed excitedly, alerting every Identity Rune holder in their respective zones of an incoming declaration of war! Incoming? No! It was HERE!

”War?!” The Creationists stumbled out of their tents and abodes, each gazing at their Tower of Gaia within their zones.

”Wasnʼt the next war supposed to happen after two or so centuries?!” A female Formation Master cried out. Their zone has planned wars to regulate deaths, and only grudges or interests would force any other change in this situation. At most, skirmishes would occur, groups of Creationists launching an attack on individual floors of the Tower of Gaia to inflict damage, potentially destroying it to gather War Souls through merit.

”Two centuries? Wait!” A big-boned alchemist exclaimed as he raised his Identity Rune. ”Itʼs the Lower Tectonic Zone, not our neighbors-the Lower Sediment Zone!”

The Lower Tectonic Zone was launching a war effort!

”The forty-fourth zone? Isnʼt that like...an insane number of miles from us? Do we even have any conflict or grudges with that zone?” A flabbergasted female Forger with baggy pants and a sledgehammer resting upon her shoulder, exuding the power of an Ascended being, asked the others with visible confusion.

Those most active Creationists were the Ascended beings. They were Commanders. This status wasnʼt diminished in the Battlefield of Order, and the classification granted them certain authoritative powers, which only came into effect when war was initiated! They were the main force against external enemies!

This was true for the Battlefield of War. Cai Liuyang, the female genius interconnected with the fallen Blessed Jing Jiu launched an attack against Wei Wuyin unheeding of othersʼ intervention. Typically, in the Battlefield of War, the Ascended beings were held back by other Commanders above the battlefield, and at times, the Commanders would fall, and if the slack wasnʼt caught swiftly, the Commanders would descend from the skies with terrifying momentum and unleash slaughter akin to a field of baby sheep frolicking before a dire wolf.

Cai Liuyangʼs descent was evidence of the sheer devastation that could be unleashed upon mere mortals by Ascended beings. If not held back by Commanders of equal or greater strength, the battlefield would exemplify the undeniable truth of war: It isnʼt fair.

Now, Commanders would gather their units and form groups to defend against their zones and towers. Despite the explosively unexpected development, none of them remained idle. They rushed with effort to exert their authority, forming full squads of Creationists. There was no limit to the number.

In fact, everyone can participate. But making that commitment meant sharing the Chaos Descent that would descend upon a loss. The risk was significant. However, upon hearing the call to arms by Commanders, if they refused to participate, they would be subject to expulsion or punishment post-war. There have been countless situations of Commanders cleaning out all these cowardly Soldiers of Order.

As such, some contemplated departing prematurely.

Fortunately, unlike the Battlefield of War, the Battlefield of Order was based on the skill of their respective Daos of creation, and as such, they could react with sufficient force. The Battlefield of Orderʼs war procedure was divided into phases.

Three Phases.

Only three!

The first was the Declaration Phase, allowing the declaring zone to have the initiative advantage! And that initiative...

Wei Wuyinʼs laughter, laced with thinly-veiled madnes,s was met by Tillyʼs disbelieving eyes that were wider than theyʼd ever been in her whole lifetime. Only the reaction of her recent bodily climax was comparable, and that feeling lingered so deeply that she was willingly following the man, her feelings in the early stages of blossoming.

However, never in her life would she have ever guessed that Wei Wuyin was declaring war! The rules state that only those willingly declaring war will participate, preventing forced conscription without alliance, and there was no way any Creationist of the 44th Zone was going to follow through! He was genuinely declaring war as a single man!

More importantly, he was declaring a Multi-Front War! A war launched against multiple zones at once, often a domineering move, and almost always exclusively forced rather than willingly done. This type often had two versus one or three versus two zones. The largest ever was six versus eight zones a long, long time ago!

This was an unprecedented declaration!

ONE!

VERSUS!

TWO THOUSAND AND NINETY-NINE!!!

Every. Last. ZONE!!!!!

Wei Wuyinʼs Globe of Creation stayed in the sky at a certain elevation. Meanwhile, Globes of Creation began to sink, shrinking as they hovered above their respective Creationistsʼ heads in waiting.

Wei Wuyin released Tillyʼs soft waist, and then left behind a smile, ”Iʼll be right back.” He said without hesitation before soaring into his Globe of Creation. Tilly watched with heated eyes at the paragonic figure daring to challenge all without fear.

This sight was unimaginable, bound to be etched into her heart and memory for eternity.

This situation was unbelievable to all others!

”What?!” An elderly Commander blurted, the excess fat on all four of his cheeks rumbling as he stumbled with widened eyes. With a quivering point of his finger, he drew attention to a single reality within his vision. A lone Globe of Creation stood there, radiating light, exuding a freshly created aura.

”A single globe?!” Those of the Lower Tectonic Zone began reacting. Which Commander declared war? Against who? Why?!

”Who are we declaring war against?” A young male talisman master asked his elder, finding all this interesting. But when his gaze fell on his elder, his heart began to throb without warning. He didnʼt know why, but he knew that the next words were about to deliver the greatest shock heʼd ever experienced in his lifetime.

He just knew.

And the elder did not disappoint. A voice deeper and heavier than the lowest level of hellʼs depth and weight of the heavens resounded:

”Everyone.”

As a single Globe of Creation adorned the sky in its brilliance, boldly unleashing its radiance without fear despite being newly created in this world, representing only a single Creationist, those watching gawked and stood still. There was no movement as all eyes, regardless of cultivation base, focused on this. Now was the time for them to throw their hat into the ring under the command of the Commander leading the charge.

However, as word spread of their enemy, who would be foolish enough to join? Who would be so suicidal that theyʼd throw their life away for fun?

”Is this even possible?” A young woman of great beauty and youthful charm asked her teacher, a mature beauty whose bearing was visibly majestic. She stared at the lone Globe of Creation without blinking.

”Teacher...”

”Huh?” The mature woman looked at her young, questioning student. Her eyes filled with questions, but also unable to understand the sheer gravity of this situation. ”What did you say?”

”I said...how is this possible? Why can a single Commander declare war against more than one zone? That just seems like an oversight...” The young woman was keen-minded, and her question highlighted, in hindsight, an incredibly ridiculous point. How was this even possible?! But the answer was almost as incredibly simple as it was ridiculous!

”You donʼt disallow impossibilities in trials,” The mature woman said, then her expression changed as she turned back to a single Globe of Creation, correcting herself: ”Improbabilities.”

Who in their vast wisdom would see this coming and disallow it? That was just an outrageous reality.

”But...this guy is clearly suicidal!” The young woman gestured at the lone Globe of Creation that Wei Wuyin entered. The time to join in was ending, and at the end of which, this single Commander-level Creationist would face the entire might of the Stellar Battlefield of Order!

”...” The mature woman couldnʼt reply. There was no reply to give! Yet her thoughts were rather ambivalent, ʼSuicide. Is that really the case?ʼ

There were countless easier ways to end oneʼs life. This? It seemed unlikely! But could her intuition here...be

wrong?

As time ticked on, the allotted period of nine entire hours was ending soon. If no one joined in, that lone Globe of Creation would face every other zone! By themselves!

10 seconds...

8 seconds...

No one joined despite nearly a full nine hours having been eclipsed. In the sky, by its lonesome, was the lonely Globe of Creation that painted the immediate region in its hue. During these nine hours, the 2,999 other zones came to realize that something was happening. Every last Tower of Gaia was active. Seeing this, they became simultaneously vigilant and confused. What was happening?

”We have to wait for the Declaration Phase to end,” the mature woman informed her young student, who had never experienced an active war.

”What Declaration Phase is when the war initiators have the initiative, right? They can select the grade and then set a foundation for a Creation Value.” The young woman recalled her teachings on this battlefield.

6 seconds...

The mature woman nodded, ”Thatʼs correct.”

The young womanʼs eyes glowed brightly with intelligence. ”After the Creation Value is set, then the Defenders will do their utmost to match or exceed the Creation Value. Since this person is challenging everyone, it would be the united value of every zone. If they match, they defend. If they exceed, they can convert the remaining Creation Value into a Counterattack. The Attackers then have to match or exceed the remaining Creation Value or suffer Chaos Descent.

”As long as all parties survive, the Skirmish Phase begins. Right? Depending on the result, the Defenders can have their Towers of Gaia threatened in the third phase!” She was energetically thrilled, confirming her knowledge via her teacher. Seeing no correction of knowledge, she was jumping with excitement.

1 second...

”A lot of people are going to die...” The mature woman muttered as a foreboding thought flooded her intuition. If anyone else knew of her thoughts, they would think her insane. A single man? Against everyone else?! Foolish!

O...seconds...!

The Globe of Creation that Wei Wuyin entered bloomed with a gorgeous array of seven-colored misty light. Suddenly, the Globe of Creation began to expand...and expand...and expand...and expand...AND EXPAND...AND EXPAND...AND EXPAND!!!!!

Suddenly, a one-meter-sized Globe of Creation reached sky-eclipsing size, overwhelming the sights of everyone

as it ballooned to a full 3,333 Kilometers!!!

By far, the largest!

Above its head, there was a sequence of numbers in the runic script etched in Identity Runes. The number denoted the Creation Value that was the first stone tossed in war! And above that number was the grade... ”...!” Everyone.

It read:

[Grade]: Dao.

[Creation Value]: 33,336,747.
