School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 1184: Chapter 1270: A Promise to Yu Qin

Inside the dormitory.

Chen Nan stood still, unmoving.

Should I chase after her?

He asked himself over and over in his heart.

Lan Yuqin!

This name was deeply imprinted in his heart.

For Lan Yuqin, it was absolutely impossible for Chen Nan to have never been moved.

However, previously, due to their teacher-student relationship, he tried hard to suppress this feeling. Even after graduation, Chen Nan felt he already had so many women to be responsible for, aside from Chu Wenrou, it was not suitable to develop new relationships.

Moreover, Lan Yuqin had also said that she could only accept one-on-one love.

So, the unspoken truth between Chen Nan and her remained unbroken, and their relationship kept a distance. He even once advised Lan Yuqin to return to high school.

After all, he could not betray other lovers for anyone.

If there had to be someone, it could only be his junior sister.

Now that Lan Yuqin was gone, Chen Nan surely felt reluctant, which was unavoidable.

He knew very well that if he chased after her now, there was at least a fifty percent chance that Lan Yuqin, like Su Qingqing and others, could become one of his lovers. Even though this kind of love was unfair, at least he was confident he could make her happy.

But if he didn’t chase after her, Lan Yuqin would definitely be gone, leaving not even a one percent chance.

At this moment, Zhang Tufu and his two friends burst in: ”I say, Playboy, what’s going on? You made our instructor cry!”

Chen Nan glanced at the three of them and said, ”Weren’t you eavesdropping outside all along?”

Zhang Tufu coughed awkwardly: ”Is this really... really what we heard?”

”You all better keep this to yourselves and not talk about it to anyone.” Chen Nan said seriously. A romance between a teacher and a student was not an honorable matter. If the word got out, it could ruin Lan Yuqin’s reputation.

Zhuge Liang lit two cigarettes, handed one to Chen Nan: ”Are you crazy? Instead of chasing after her, you’re wasting time telling us this nonsense.”

Chen Nan looked at the three of them.

After a moment of silence, Chen Nan asked: ”Do you guys also think I should chase after her?”

”If it’s true love, you must go!” Zhuge Liang said.

Zhang Tufu shook his head: ”I think you shouldn’t go. You’re already married and have already harmed so many girls. Let the instructor go. She’s truly a good person.”

Gao Laoniu said: ”The Butcher is right.”

”Right, you’re already married, better not go.” Zhuge Liang said.

After a moment of silence, Chen Nan said: ”What if I wasn’t married, do you think I should go?”

”That’s a no-brainer. If you love her, go. If not, then don’t. Do we even need to spell it out?” Zhang Tufu said.

Chen Nan nodded: ”Maybe I already know what to do.”

...

After running out of the dormitory, Lan Yuqin didn’t even go back to her own dormitory.

She didn’t even resign; she went straight to the parking lot, started her car, and headed towards Ningjiang City. She didn’t want to linger in this heartbroken place for even a second more.

In the car, she couldn’t stop the tears from flowing down, one hand gripping the steering wheel, the other wiping her tears.

When she decided to come to the university as a counselor, she knew very well that the hope between her and Chen Nan was very slim.

Putting aside their former teacher-student relationship, Chen Nan’s girlfriends were all campus belles, not only beautiful but also younger than herself. She almost had no hope in her heart, yet, she still came.

She was just this persistent. As long as there was a shred of hope, she would not give up.

But this time, that shred of hope in her heart was completely shattered.

”I really wish I had never met you.”

The car windows were open, and the wind howled in. Lan Yuqin pressed the accelerator to the floor.

On the highway from Ninghai City to Ningjiang City, the speed of the Volkswagen Bora kept increasing, already approaching one hundred eighty kilometers per hour, yet Lan Yuqin continued to press the accelerator, the speed still climbing slowly.

Or perhaps she had forgotten the speed, forgotten that going so fast could be dangerous.

She overtook large trucks, family cars, and even sports cars, leaving them all far behind.

Her movements were mechanical as she steered around one car after another, her tears already blurring her vision, unable to see the way ahead clearly.

”Yu Qin, stop, this is too dangerous.”

Suddenly, a familiar voice came from beside her, and Lan Yuqin couldn’t believe her ears.

The voice was so familiar, a sound she longed to hear at her side, yet the way she was addressed felt so strange, because the owner of this voice had always called her teacher, never addressed her by name so formally.

Lan Yuqin mechanically turned her head, looking out of the car window, and saw Chen Nan running alongside her.

”It’s really you.”

Lan Yuqin was in disbelief, her emotions soaring from Hell to Heaven in an instant.

Her face still stained with tears, her eyes still wet, yet she smiled: ”Why are you here?”

Chen Nan running so fast on foot didn’t surprise her at all, but the other drivers on the highway were staring wide-eyed, nearly causing accidents from being distracted.

”Look at you! Your speed is almost two hundred. With such a lack of safety awareness, how can I rest assured letting you leave alone?” Chen Nan pointed at her speedometer, smiling as he spoke to her.

Lan Yuqin said: ”What do you want then?”

”Let me stay by your side in the future, supervise you. Will you give me this chance?” Chen Nan leaped, as nimble as a monkey, through the passenger window.

Lan Yuqin had slowed down. Looking at Chen Nan, she smiled: ”You cheeky boy, you have such courage, I am your teacher.”

”I’ve already graduated.” Chen Nan smiled.

Lan Yuqin said: ”Haven’t you heard, once a teacher always a parent.”

Chen Nan reached out, hugging her fragrant shoulder, kissed her cheek: ”I never take the conventional path, let me be the rebellious one.”

Lan Yuqin didn’t speak, but the smile on her face revealed the happiness in her heart at this moment.

”Won’t you regret it?” Lan Yuqin asked.

Chen Nan shook his head, holding her hand on the gearstick: ”Whoever regrets is a coward.”

Lan Yuqin slowed the car, turned to seriously look at him, and said: ”Remember this, this is your promise to me today. No matter what happens in the future, you can’t go back on it. Otherwise, I will never forgive you in this lifetime.”
