School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 939: Chapter 1020: Date

Chu Wenrou somewhat regretted what she said earlier; if they don’t go on a date, how will she get revenge?

Chen Nan was still feeling frustrated, thinking about what method he could use to arrange another date with Chu Wenrou. Just at that moment, Chu Wenrou’s voice came through the phone, ”Chen, do you admit your mistake now?”

”Huh?”

Chen Nan was taken aback and hadn’t yet reacted.

After all, this crazy woman had just insisted she wouldn’t agree to a date, and now the conversation took a turn, suggesting she had changed her mind?

”Huh, what huh? I’m asking you if you know your mistake. Didn’t you stand me up last night?” Chu Wenrou said, emphasizing her tone and muttering to herself, Go ahead and set a date, let’s see how I deal with you later!

”I... I know I was wrong, of course I realize it,” Chen Nan hurriedly responded.

Chu Wenrou snorted coldly, ”Since you realize your mistake, fine, I’ll give you another chance.”

Chen Nan was instantly excited upon hearing this and hastily asked, ”Time and place, where should we meet?”

”Let me think about it.”

Chu Wenrou began to plan how to trouble Chen Nan. A moment later, she said, ”Tianling District, at the entrance of Nanhai Bar on Qingshi Street.”

Chen Nan furrowed his brows, ”Are you sure you want to go to Qingshi Street?”

His reason for questioning was that Qingshi Street was a highly chaotic place. The entire street was a mix of all kinds of people and was considered the most poorly policed area in Ningjiang City. The street was known for its numerous bars and nightclubs that flashed red lights at night.

Most people who frequent such places are society’s riff-raff, so incidents of people getting hacked were common on Qingshi Street.

If a week went by without a bloodshed incident, that would be unusual.

Therefore, the chaotic reputation of Qingshi Street’s security spread throughout Ningjiang City. It became a paradise for social misfits, while regular ordinary people generally avoided it.

Chu Wenrou laughed coldly, provokingly, ”What, are you afraid to go?”

”No, I’m just worried that if you get there first and I’m not there yet, you could be harassed, and I’m thinking of your safety,” Chen Nan said.

”I’m not some easy target; you don’t need to worry. Just give me an answer—dare or not?”

For Chen Nan, the location didn’t matter as long as the date happened. He said, ”Why wouldn’t I dare? Just tell me the time, when?”

Chu Wenrou said, ”It’s already past 10 PM, let’s meet at 11:30 tonight, don’t be late. If you stand me up again, I won’t forgive you.”

”Don’t worry, I’ll be there early, see you there,” Chen Nan assured.

Chen Nan felt somewhat excited. From the tone of that crazy woman, she seemed happy, and her impression of him wasn’t that bad. It seemed that getting her wasn’t as difficult as he imagined.

Little did he know, as soon as she hung up, Chu Wenrou immediately dialed another number.

”It’s me,” Chu Wenrou said bluntly, ”I need you for something.”

A respectful voice came from the other end, ”Miss Chu, is there anything where Little Four can be of service?”

”Nonsense, would I call you if I didn’t need something?”

Chu Wenrou’s tone was vicious as she explained the situation with Chen Nan and started giving instructions.

After she finished explaining everything, the person on the other end, who called himself Little Four, repeatedly assured, ”Miss Chu, don’t worry, I’ll take care of it, guaranteed.”

Chu Wenrou snorted, ”If you handle this well, I’ll give you a million! If not, I’ll never ask you for help again.”

”Yes, yes, Little Four will get it done, rest assured.”

”Show me with actions!”

Chu Wenrou snorted coldly, then hung up the phone.

With a smug smile on her face, she turned and started walking out, muttering to herself, ”Chen Nan, you bastard, you dare to try and charm me? Just you wait, I’ll make you look terrible!”

...

On the other side.

After Chen Nan left the house, he drove towards Qingshi Street.

He was driving the Ferrari 458 he won from Chu Wenrou. He wasn’t trying to show off; he planned to return it to ease her hostility towards him.

When Chen Nan reached Qingshi Street, it was only 11 PM, with half an hour to kill before their meet-up time.

Parking outside Nanhai Bar, Chen Nan stayed in the car, reclined the seat, and lay back to listen to music while waiting for Chu Wenrou.

And he waited for a whole half hour.

At night, around 11:30, Chen Nan got out to walk around but didn’t see Chu Wenrou. At 11:40, he called her phone.

As soon as the call connected, Chu Wenrou impatiently said, ”Why are you calling? I’m going to be late today. Wait a bit longer.”

”You’re late, can’t you speak a little nicer?”

”Why can’t I be harsh? You stood me up, but I can’t be late?” Chu Wenrou snorted coldly, ”Either wait or go home, date’s off.”

This insufferable woman!

Chen Nan was frustrated; he’s never felt so aggrieved.

If it wasn’t crucial to win over Chu Wenrou, he’d have left without a second thought, given his temper.

Gritting his teeth, Chen Nan swallowed his pride, ”Wenrou, I don’t mean it that way. If you’re late, you’re late, I’ll wait.”

”Now that’s more like it.”

Chu Wenrou arrogantly said, then abruptly hung up the phone.

Chen Nan really wanted to curse her out. She obviously sought revenge for last night’s stand-up, and even though she’s late, she’s still unreasonable. But since he’s the one pursuing her, what could he do even if she were unreasonably bossy? Just endure!

”You damn woman, once I’ve gotten you, I’ll make you pay back with a hundred rounds on the bed!” Chen Nan grumbled in anger, turning back to the car.

Chen Nan waited in the car, waited and waited, minute after minute, hour after hour.

Finally, at 2 AM, he received a call from Chu Wenrou.

”I’m at the bar already, where are you?” Chu Wenrou started questioning as soon as she spoke.

”I’m in the car, I’ll come in right away.”

Chen Nan was certain that Chu Wenrou did it on purpose. After all, the car parked outside the bar, with her plate still on it, she couldn’t have missed it.

Jumping out of the car, Chen Nan strode into the bar.

But upon entering, he frowned, feeling a bit off.

This huge Nanhai Bar was unexpectedly empty, with only Chu Wenrou sitting there. Despite the hour, it shouldn’t be so deserted, right?

Could it be, a trap?

(Someone suggested continuing last month’s ticket game. I’d love to, but I’ve been away from home these days, so it’s genuinely hard to manage.)
