School Beauty's Personal Crazy Young Master

Chapter 904: Chapter 984: Li Xiao’s Wait

Seeing Chen Nan’s mischievous grin, Yun Fei instinctively stepped back.

”You say, just how much do you like me? Getting this angry just because I didn’t call you.” Chen Nan laughed lecherously, eyes fixed on her, stepping forward like a pervy old man, forcing Yun Fei to retreat continuously.

”My dear, why are you avoiding me? Since you like me so much, come on, come on, into my arms.” Chen Nan beckoned her with a wave.

”I don’t like you, you big-headed fool, shameless!”

Yun Fei retorted, not realizing she’d already kicked against the sofa and could no longer retreat, while Chen Nan kept moving closer.

”Try dodging now, I want to see where you can hide.”

Chen Nan reached her and propped his hands on the sofa, scaring Yun Fei into leaning back and falling onto the couch, her back against the couch’s backrest, completely losing the upper hand.

Although Chen Nan wasn’t touching her, he was hovering above her, smiling, ”I say, my dear, you clearly like me, why won’t you admit it?”

”You... you go away.”

Yun Fei’s beautiful eyes glared at him, but she lacked the resoluteness.

”I’ll give you another chance. Do you admit you like me or not?”

Looking into his eyes, Yun Fei’s heart was racing like a fawn, pounding fast.

Involuntarily, her breathing became much more rapid.

”I... I told you to go away, didn’t you hear me?” Yun Fei’s tone weakened significantly.

Chen Nan, with a nonchalant look, said calmly, ”Then answer me first, do you or do you not like me?”

”I don’t, I don’t like you, I hate you, okay? Now go away!” Yun Fei wasn’t the type to love and not admit it, she just couldn’t accept Chen Nan’s flirtatious nature, thinking that saying it out loud would only add trouble.

Chen Nan playfully blew a breath towards her eyes, ”Then why, that night, seeing me with Jiang Xiaomi, were you so jealous?”

Yun Fei glared at him, ”Who said I was jealous, I just can’t stand your flirtatiousness, always troubling young girls!”

”You’re wrong, I must correct this, I don’t trouble young girls, I like them, that’s why I’m nice to them. Even though I’m a bit flirtatious, I’m certainly not a shallow-hearted person.” Chen Nan’s lips curved into a devilish smile, ”If you want in too, just come into my arms already. Though your temper is a bit foul, I definitely won’t mind.”

Yun Fei hesitated.

She knew clearly that someone as flirtatious as Chen Nan wouldn’t give up the whole forest for her.

So, she had been trying hard to let go of these feelings in her heart, but she couldn’t do it. In fact, whenever she saw Chen Nan, she couldn’t help but find ways to get his attention. Over time, not only did she fail to let go, but she also sank deeper.

Now, she was struggling inside, thinking although Chen Nan’s attitude towards love was unreliable, if she didn’t admit it today, would she really be lonely for the rest of her life?

”Hey, make up your mind quickly, or I might not want you later.” Chen Nan said.

Yun Fei nearly died from frustration, hearing his words, she felt as if she was the one begging him. Annoyed, she said, ”Do you have to be so thick-skinned? Can you be any more shameless?”

”Who’s shameless here, with such a handsome face, would I be stupid not to want it? Do you admit you like me or not?”

”I don’t!”

”Do you like me?”

Yun Fei still denied it, but her tone weakened considerably.

Chen Nan asked again, ”Do you like me or not?”

”I like you...”

Yun Fei finally had no resistance left.

”My dear, you finally admitted it!”

...

While they were declaring their feelings, Li Xiao sat miles away on her couch, staring blankly at Chen Nan’s phone number.

This guy promised to come find her at ten, yet now it’s past 1 AM, and he hasn’t even called.

Did he lose interest?

Otherwise, why else hasn’t he called?

Li Xiao thought a lot, she’d been waiting since a little past seven from the moment Chen Nan hung up, and continued till now.

She held the phone in her arms, wanting to answer immediately when Chen Nan called, yet the phone never rang. She thought about calling him to ask, but deep down, she held a glimmer of hope, thinking Chen Nan was just held up, and maybe he’d come if she waited a little longer.

Her calling him and Chen Nan calling her wasn’t merely about a ten-cent phone bill, it was fundamentally different for her.

”Do you still remember your promise to me?”

Looking at the number she’d memorized backwards, Li Xiao spoke to herself, feeling a bit let down.

...

In Yun Fei’s room.

By the time they finished showering and came out, it was already close to 3 AM.

Yun Fei lay down on the bed and fell asleep immediately.

Chen Nan picked up his phone, initially just wanting to check the time, but suddenly remembered he had promised Xiao Xiao around seven to go to her at ten, only to realize he had forgotten.

”Oh no, oh no, she’s definitely going to be upset.” Chen Nan patted his forehead, speaking to himself.

Yun Fei was almost asleep, hearing his muttering, she quickly sat up and asked, ”Who did you hurt again, you clueless fool?”

”Weren’t you asleep!”

Caught off guard and worried she’d be jealous, Chen Nan relaxed a bit remembering she and Li Xiao were best friends, ”I promised Xiao Xiao to go to her place at ten, and now it’s 3 AM.”

Though Yun Fei was a bit sour, she didn’t want Li Xiao to be upset, so she waved him off, ”What are you waiting for, go to her!”
