Chapter 2495: Chapter 2495: Tang Jin Wei Got Engaged

”Serve her right.” Long Hui said.

”She probably gets angry if she hears you say that.” Yu Qi laughed.

”Anything more?” Long Hui asked.

”About what?” Yu Qi asked.

”About what happened to you while I was gone?” Long Hui stated.

”Oh... Actually, that old man tried to target me but I outsmarted him without touching him. I handed the power over to his wife. It is very satisfying to see the wife handle his cheating husband. It was smooth.” Yu Qi laughed.

”I am glad you are okay.” Long Hui kissed Yu Qi’s hand.

He was already thinking of getting the information about that old man. How dare he try to touch his beloved Qi Qi?

”Enough with the talk. Let’s eat. You must be hungry.” Yu Qi said.

She already prepared dinner for him.

”Hmm... I am indeed hungry. I also need to eat to have the energy to be able to function later.” Long Hui nodded.

”Eh, you still have work to do?” Yu Qi was surprised.

”Well, we both need to work later, on the bed.” Long Hui whispered.

Yu Qi finally understood what Long Hui was talking about. She blushed.

...

”What?” Ming Yue raised her voice.

”Mom, why are you yelling?” Tang Jin Wei frowned.

”Because of you, you stupid son!” Ming Yue smacked her son.

”Ouch! Mom, why do you like to smack my head?” Tang Jin Wei rubbed his head.

”Finally, my son will get married to a woman.” Ming Yue was happy.

”Mom, the way you talk makes me feel like I am gay before.” Tang Jin Wei complained.

”Gay is better. At least he is loyal to one man. You were playboy. Going out with many women. It is lucky that those girls did not come to me telling me that they are pregnant.” Ming Yue said.

”Mom, when did I go out with many women? We are just talking.” Tang Jin Wei protested.

”Yeah... Talking and flirting. What a scumbag.” Ming Yue rolled her eyes.

”Mom!!!” Tang Jin Wei shouted.

”Fine... Fine... When is the date?” Ming Yue asked.

”Eh! Date for what? For marriage? That fast? We have just got engaged.” Tang Jin Wei was confused.

Ming Yue smacked Tang Jin Wei’s head. ”How can I have a stupid son like you?”

”Mom, why are you smacking my head again?” Tang Jin Wei cried out.

”I am asking you for a date for your father and I will go to the girl’s house to meet her parent. We need to exchange the gift.” Ming Yue sighed while explaining the matter to Tang Jin Wei.

”Oh... That... Well, I don’t know.” Tang Jin Wei said. However, when he saw that his mother wanted to smack his head again, he blocked his mother’s hand and shouted. ”I will discuss with Ke Ke first and tell you after that.”

”Good, I will be waiting for that. I want the answer tomorrow.” Ming Yue said, lowering her hand from smacking her son’s head.

Tang Jin Wei ran away after that. He just proposed to Su Ke Ke at the restaurant yesterday. Of course, it was a private one. He booked a private room at the 4-star Michelin restaurant. He had been planning to propose for one month.

He coordinated with the restaurant staff for everything. Money made everything available. Su Ke Ke did not know that Tang Jin Wei would propose to her that night. She thought it was a casual dinner even though Tang Jin Wei told her to dress formally. She thought it was normal because of the restaurant’s policy that required formal attire.

It was a normal start. The waiter came in, bringing a bottle of wine, and poured it into their glass. She tasted it. It tasted amazing.

Then, the waiter came in bringing with tray. He placed the tray on the table and walked out. Su Ke Ke was trying to take away the cover that covered the tray but Tang Jin Wei stopped her. She was confused at first.

Tang Jin Wei opened the cover. Inside it, there was a red velvet box. Suddenly the room went dark. The only light was above them. Tang Jin Wei took the box.

He knelt down near Su Ke Ke who seemed to be shocked. She covered her mouth with her hands.

”Su Ke Ke, it has been three years since we got together as boyfriend and girlfriend. It is about time for us to step into another relationship. I promise to be loyal to you and only you. I promise that we will be together until the end. So, will you marry me?” Tang Jin Wei smiled to Su Ke Ke.

Su Ke Ke was already in tears. She nodded. ”Yes.”

Hearing this, Tang Jin Wei put the ring on Su Ke Ke’s finger. Then, he hugged her. It was the happiest day of his life. He finally understood his brother and Long Hui’s feelings when they proposed back then.

”Thank you, Ke Ke for accepting me. I promise that we will be together forever.” Tang Jin Wei made another promise while hugging Su Ke Ke.

”Yeah. I also promise.” Su Ke Ke said in Tang Jin Wei’s arms.

Then, the huge screen on the wall started. Su Ke Ke and Tang Jin Wei turned around and looked at the screen. On the screen, there were pictures of Su Ke Ke and Tang Jin Wei. They watched them with smiles.
