Chapter 2490: Chapter 2490: Found The Prey

Yu Qi and Long Hui looked around. They were at the empty house. The person was shocked to see the strangers there. However, he did not panic. Since they were from Miao’s teleportation device, it meant they had permission from Patriarch Miao.

”Is the person with the surname Cheng come two days ago?” Yu Qi asked that person.

”Oh... Elder Cheng... Yes. He is still in the cultivation world.” The person nodded.

”Did he tell you where he was going to go?” Yu Qi asked again.

”No... He did not tell me anything. He would never tell me anything.” The person said.

”Let’s find him with Aoi’s help.” Yu Qi said, calling Aoi’s name. ”Aoi, come out.”

Aoi appeared. The person was startled, and he fell on his butt. He was shocked to see the couple seemed to be calm. Seeing the woman pat the beast, he finally understood that the beast belonged to the woman.

”Aoi, do you remember the smell?” Yu Qi asked Aoi.

”Yes.” Aoi nodded.

”Good.” Yu Qi nodded.

Earlier, before they came to the cultivation world, she asked someone to bring something that Elder Cheng wore, like his pillow. Patriarch Miao ordered someone to bring Elder Cheng’s belongings. Yu Qi told Aoi to smell the items and remember them.

So, it was the time. Yu Qi and Long Hui jumped on Aoi’s back. Aoi immediately started to run. He followed the trace of the smell. After two hours of running, they arrived at a small town.

Afraid that Aoi would cause panic among the people there, Yu Qi asked Aoi to shrink to a small size so that she could just carry him. Aoi changed to a smaller version.

So, they entered the town. It was a small and normal town. Aoi instructed his master.

”Master, that way,” Aoi said.

They stopped in front of the inn.

”So, he is hiding here.” Yu Qi said.

They entered the inn. The innkeeper greeted them with a smile.m

”Welcome to our humble inn. So, how many rooms that you want?” The innkeeper asked.

”No... We are looking for our acquaintance.” Yu Qi said.

”Hmm... Are you the person Mr Cheng is waiting for?” The innkeeper said.

Yu Qi and Long Hui looked at each other and nodded.

”Yes. Where is he?” Yu Qi asked.

”His room at the second floor. At the last room the right side.” The innkeeper said.

”Thank you.” Yu Qi smiled.

She then reached out for something. Then, she placed that something on the counter.

”This is your reward.” Yu Qi said.

The innkeeper looked at the item that Yu Qi placed in front of him.

”What?” The innkeeper was shocked.

It was a bottle that contained 2 pills.

”The pills that can help with your cultivation.” Yu Qi said.

”Are you really giving me these pills?” The innkeeper asked.

”Yeah.” Yu Qi nodded.

The innkeeper thanked Yu Qi happily. It was indeed a lucky day for him.

Yu Qi and Long Hui went to the room stated by the innkeeper. Long Hui wanted to barge in and restrain Elder Cheng immediately, but Yu Qi stopped him. He might destroy other property if he did that. Yu Qi told Long Hui to let her handle this first

Yu Qi knocked on the door. They immediately heard some sounds from the room. The door clicked open. Elder Cheng, who seemed to be happy at first, turned pale as his eyes met Yu Qi.

”Hello, Cheng Sung. Nice to meet you again.” Yu Qi smiled.

Cheng Sung backed off slowly. Seeing that Yu Qi and Long Hui did not move, he quickly grabbed his backpack and rushed to the window. He jumped from the window. He even managed to smile at Yu Qi and Long Hui, thinking that he would escape from them.

Once he landed on the ground, a force crushed him to the ground from behind. That force held his head, too. So, he could not know who held him down. He could hear some screaming from people around him, but he did not know why.

Then he saw two pairs of legs stop in front of him. He managed to lift up his head and look up. He was shocked to see Long Hui and Yu Qi standing in front of him right now.

”You!” Cheng Sung was shocked.

”We meet again.” Yu Qi smiled.

”How do you manage to find me?” Cheng Sung asked.

”Well... I have an amazing dog. He can remember your smell.” Yu Qi said.

”A normal dog can not do that.” Cheng Sung responded.

”Well, who says it is a normal dog?” Yu Qi chuckled.

”Enough with this. Those Gus, belonged to you. You have a lot of things to talk to us.” Long Hui said.

”No... No... You can not do this to me.” Cheng Su protested.

”What happened here?” An old man approached them and asked.

”Sir, please help me. They are going to kill me.” Cheng Sung asked the help from the stranger.

”I am a mayor for this town. Don’t get me wrong. I am asking you to take this somewhere else. I can not let my citizens be in fear.” The old man said to Yu Qi and Long Hui. Then, he turned to Cheng Sung and talked to him. ”It seems you are doing something wrong to them. You should think about the consequences before doing something wrong.”
