Chapter 2193: Chapter 2193: Bai Shu Jin Took His Father’s Position

”Even so, Mr Bai Shu Jin has been working in this company for a long time. You can not deny his achievement. He has proven to us that he has the ability to lead the company.” One of the shareholders stood up siding with Bai Shu Jin’s side.

”That’s right. We have been watching Mr Bai Shu Jin since he was younger. We are satisfied with his work.” Another shareholder chimed in.

Bai Jian frowned. She did not like where this led to.

”Not to mention, Madam Bai, the current situation is caused by you.” The shareholder who talked earlier spoke again.

”What do you mean by that?” Bai Jian asked.

”That trial. Turned out, the young female doctor... What is her name? Oh, yes, Doctor Tang Yu Qi, already explained to you that she did not do it. But you did not believe her and wanted to sue her for malpractice. This attention has drawn bad publicity for our company.” Another shareholder braved himself to speak up.

”That matter has nothing to do with the company.” Bai Jian retorted back.

”Of course, it has a lot to do with the company. People started questioning our Bai. They also boycotted our product after this matter. Madam Bai, you also used the company’s resources to slander Doctor Tang Yu Qi. Do you think we don’t know about that?” The shareholder said. ”That...” Bai Jian did not know what to reply.

”Madam Bai, even though Mr Bai Shu Jin is not your biological son, he grew up under your care. You should know how he is.” The shareholder added more.

Bai Jian knew that she had lost. She turned and glared at Bai Shu Jin.

”Don’t be too smug. After my son wakes up, you will lose this position.” Bai Jian clicked her tongue, stood up and left the meeting room.

So, Bai Shu Jin succeeded and took over his father’s position temporarily.

At the police station, the leader of the city branch came forward and took charge of the case. This matter had evolved to something bigger.

Bai Xia Fang had been involved not only in tax evasion but also in bribery. If he was bribing someone else, it might not have to be a big problem but the ones who received his bribe were politicians. Not one, not two, not three but 4 politicians involved in this matter.

President Hai already told the authorities to catch all of them. They were prosecuted. When Bai Xia Fang was told by the police officer about this matter, he was shocked.

”I was told that I had been arrested due to a tax evasion case.” Bai Xia Fang stated.

”Yes, Mr Bai. However, we have another batch of evidence that clearly shows you are involved with the bribing case with a few of the politicians. President Hai already ordered us that this case involving the bribery of the politicians needed to be handled carefully. That is why we could not let Mr Bai go.” The police officer stated.

President Hai also ordered the politicians to be arrested as fast as possible. He was afraid that the politicians would find out about this matter. They would pack their belongings and rush to the airport to leave the country. Once they were in a foreign land, they would be hard to track down. Asking about the country that they landed in was okay, but it required a lot of work.

They needed to talk with the leader of the country and negotiate with them before they had permission to catch the politicians. It was a hassle. That was why President Hai used his power to order the police officers to catch the politicians at the same time.

One of the politicians managed to catch the wind of the order. He rushed to the airport to get away. However, he was welcomed by a group of soldiers who had been waiting for his arrival. He was shocked, could not do anything and could just let the soldiers catch him. The soldiers waited for the police officers to come and take over the politician. It was Long Hui who ordered the soldiers to wait at the airport.

After that, a lot of people who had been involved in this case were caught by the police for questioning. It would be a long case.

Yu Qi did not pay much attention to the Bai Family after that. Only Neko-chan who told her about Bai Family from time to time.

Yu Qi went to the cafe after her work hours ended. She could see Long Hui sit at the table in the corner. Long Hui seemed to be working in his laptop.

She did not go to Long Hui. Instead, she took her phone and took some pictures of him. She took from many angles.

”What are you doing?”

A voice startled Yu Qi who currently held the phone pointing at Long Hui. She almost dropped her phone. She turned around, glaring at the person who talked to her.

”What? Why are you glaring at me like that?” Tang Jin Wei stepped back as he saw Yu Qi glare at him like that.

”I almost drop my phone because of you.” Yu Qi said.

”Well, you behave like a stalker. Whose picture are you taking?” Tang Jin Wei looked in the direction aand saw Long Hui. He turned back to Yu Qi. ”Seriously? You take his pictures?” ***Thank you, from, your shameless author, ZerahNeko***
