Chapter 2152: Chapter 2152: Mu Yian’s Social Circle

Mu Yian did not return home after meeting Yu Qi and Long Hui. She had an appointment with her friends. However, her friends could see that Mu Yian did not pay much attention to their conversation. They even called her name a few times to get her attention.

”Yian... Yian...” Fu Qiuyue called.

”Oh... Yes... What are you talking about?” Mu Yian asked.

”Why are you so out today? Does something happen?” Shen Zhilan asked concerned about Mu Yian.

”Sorry. There is something at work that makes me think about it. Sorry.” Mu Yian apologized.

”If it is about work, then, we can not get angry at you.” Cui Daiyu said.

”That’s right.” Fu Qiuyue nodded in understanding.

”I am kind of jealous of Yian.” Shen Zhilan said.

”Jealous of me? Why?” Mu Yian asked back.

”Yes. Even though you are a woman, your father will allow you to manage the family business. My father told me that a woman should be out of business. He just gave me a position that could not interfere with business direction. Humph! But I know that it is not because I am a woman but he just wants his bastard son to take over when his bastard son comes to age.” Shen Zhilan gritted her teeth.

”Do you get the share from your father?” Fu Qiuyue asked.

”I get 10% of it.” Shen Zhilan stated.

”It is quite a lot.” Fu Qiuyue said.

”I know but still...” Shen Zhilan said.

”Well... I don’t want to be rude but it is better for your stepbrother to take over.” Fu Qiuyue said while glancing at Shen Zhilan.

Shen Zhilan stood up and pointed angrily at Fu Qiuyue. ”What do you say?”

”You are not good at studying nor you are excellent at anything. Don’t mention about managing a company. People would never want someone stupid to lead the business. The company might bankrupt. I heard your stepbrother is excellent at studying and already handled a small project in the company. Of course, your father has hope in him to inherit the company. As for you, if you do not cause a scene and problem for the company or your stepbrother in future, you can receive the dividend from the share without having to work probably in the lifetime.” Fu Qiuyue spoke logically.

”The company should be mine. If I don’t know how to manage the company, I can hire someone else.” Shen Zhilan said.

Fu Qiuyue just glanced again at Shen Zhilan without saying any more. She just spoke logically. She did not understand why Shen Zhilan did not understand that logic. Yes, she could hire someone else to do the work for her. But can someone be 100% trustable? That person could trick her to make her lose everything.

Fu Qiuyue knew Shen Zhilan’s stepbrother. Even though Shen Zhilan always called her stepbrother, her father’s bastard son, her stepbrother was not an illegitimate son. He was a legitimate son. Shen Zhilan’s father married his second wife one year after his first wife’s death. At the time, Shen Zhilan was nine years old. So, she already could understand the situation. Her stepbrother was born one year after her father’s second marriage.

”Okay... Okay... Chill down... We meet to catch up. There is no need for us to argue like this, right, Yian?” Cui Daiyu came forward acting like a peacemaker and seeking for Mu Yian’s help.

”Hmm... No need to argue like this.” Mu Yian nodded.

Seeing Mu Yian voice the issue, Shen Zhilan softened her anger. ”Yeah... Yeah... No need to get angry. Let’s drink up.”

Shen Zhilan lit up her glass. Everyone followed her lead clicking the glasses together.

”Daiyu, when are you going to get married?” Shen Zhilan changed the topic.

Cui Daiyu’s lips slightly curved up. She smiled sweetly. ”Junjie is preparing to propose to me in the future.”

”Oh... That is wonderful.” Fu Qiuyue was genuinely happy for her friend.

”Don’t forget to call us. We want to see the live proposal.” Shen Zhilan said. Then she remembered her own boyfriend. ”If only my boyfriend is sweet like you.” She sighed.

Cui Daiyu could not dare to comment on Shen Zhilan’s boyfriend. She did not want to be rude but she did not like Shen Zhilan’s boyfriend. That was why he often acted like a teenager even though he was already almost 30 years old.

”Yian, do you have someone that you like?” Fu Qiuyue moved the topic to Mu Yian.

Mu Yian’s eyes flickered for a second. No one managed to see it. The more she thought about the suitable man for her, the more she thought about that man, yes, that man, Long Hui. If only that woman disappeared, she would get the man.

”No... I don’t have a man that I like. I have still not found him yet.” Mu Yian answered.

”I wonder what kind of man that you like. Still need to wait.” Fu Qiuyue laughed.

Mu Yian looked at her watch. ”Guys, I think I need to go now.”

”Eh... Why? It is still early.” Shen Zhilan said.

”Yeah.” Cui Daiyu nodded.

”Do you have any work to do?” Fu Qiuyue asked.

”Hmm...” Mu Yian nodded.

”I see. Then, you should go and settle your work.” Fu Qiuyue did not stop Mu Yian from going back.

”Oh... If it is for work, then, there is nothing that we can do about that.” Cui Daiyu said. ***Thank you, from, your shameless author, ZerahNeko***
