Reborn : Space Intelligent Woman

Bai Yu woke up weakly. Bai Jian was happy to see her son woke up. She quickly called the doctor to check on her son.

The doctor came and made some checks on Bai Yu’s body. After finishing the check, the doctor told Bai Yu’s condition. Bai Yu’s condition was stable. He needed the rest of at least 4 months to fully recovered.

Bai Jian nodded and thanked the doctor. The doctor left. Bai Jian turned to look at her son.

“Mum…” Bai Yu called his mother weakly.

“Yes, I am here.” Bai Jian answered.

“It’s hurt.” Bai Yu said.

“I know. But you need to hold on. You will recover.” Bai Jian rubbed gently her son’s forehead. “Do you remember how you ended up in this situation?”

“A group of men came and beat me up. I don’t know them.” Bai Yu explained the situation slowly.

“Do you know what is the reason why they beat you?” Bai Jian asked again.

Bai Yu did not answer that. That was because he knew if he told his mother the reason why he got beaten up, his mother was probably going to hit him too. “I don’t know.” So, that was his answer.

“I see.” Bai Jian was thinking about the possible reasons her son got beaten up.

Even though Bai Jian knew that her son liked to play around with women, she did not believe that her son got beaten up because of that. It was more believable if she assumed that her son got beaten up by the Bai Family’s enemies.

Bai Family had many enemies. A lot of people wanted Bai Family to be destroyed. It was probably one of those enemies.

Or ‘someone’ from Bai Family himself ordered someone to beat her son up. She could not push away that possibility. Her son already decided to work at Bai Cooperation. So, in order to make her son could not work, ‘someone’ hired people to do so.

“Don’t worry. I will investigate and teach them for hurting my son.” Bai Jian comforted her son.

“Thank you, mum. Ouch!” Bai Yu moved a bit and it hurt like hell.

“Okay. Stop moving.” Bai Jian panicked.

The next day, Bai Xia Fang and Bai Shu Jin returned from their business trip. They visited Bai Yu at the hospital. Bai Jian told Bai Xia Fang about their son.

Bai Xia Fang was indifferent to the information. “Probably he hired people to beat him up so that he does not have to work.” Bai Xia Fang made the assumption.

“Bai Xia Fang, he would not do something like that. He was badly hurt. How could you say something like that?” Bai Jian became angry when hearing something like that from her husband.

She looked at Bai Yu. It was lucky that Bai Yu was still sleeping. She felt that Bai Yu would get hurt hearing his father saying something like that.

Bai Xia Fang did not respond to Bai Jian. Bai Shu Jian did not say anything. He looked at his younger brother. His younger brother was waking up.

“Brother?” Bai Yu’s eyes laid on his brother upon waking up.

“Hmm… How are you?” Bai Shu Jin asked.

“It’s hurt like hell. I can’t move at all.” Bai Yu whined to his brother.

“Rest. You will be moving soon.” Bai Shu Jin said.

Bai Jian looked at the interaction between the two brothers. She snorted. ‘He is such an actor like his bitch mother.’

“That’s right. Focus on recovering.” Bai Xia Fang said.

Hearing his father’s voice, Bai Yu got stiffened. However, he managed to reply to his father. “Yes.”

“I am going home first to refresh. After that, I am going to the office.” Bai Xia Fang told Bai Jian.

“Me too.” Bai Shu Jin also wanted to do the same.

So, the father and son left the ward. Bai Jian gritted her teeth seeing Bai Shu Jin’s expression did not change much after seeing her son in this condition.

“Mum, I am hungry. I want to eat something.” Bai Yu’s voice made Bai Jian return to reality.

“Wait. I need to ask the doctor whether you can eat or not.” Bai Jian said.

“If I can’t eat, does that mean I need to be hungry?” Bai Yu was very hungry. ‘Don’t tell me, I can’t eat. Does that mean I will die due to the hungry?’ Bai Yu was thinking nonsense.

“Of course not. The doctor will figure out something else.” Bai Jian said. “I will go and ask the doctor first. If he says you can eat, I will buy something for you.”

After a while, Bai Yu returned with a paper bag in her hand. Bai Yu saw that his eyebrows lifted up.

“The doctor said you can eat, but only the soft food. So, I brought you some porridge.” Bai Jian showed the paper bag in her hand.

Bai Yu was slightly disappointed. “It’s okay. I am hungry anyway.”

Since Bai Yu could not move, Bai Jian spoon-feed him slowly. After a bowl of porridge was finished, Bai Yu felt blessed.

“I am going to go home first and come back later.” Bai Jian said. “I already hire two nurses to take care of you. Just tell them if you want something.”

“Okay, mum.” Bai Yu nodded.

At the same time, the two nurses entered the ward.

“Take care of my son properly. If something happens to him, your life is over.” Bai Jian had time to talk to the nurses before leaving.
