In the Apocalypse, After Hoarding Supplies, They Teamed Up with a Powerful Figure and Went on a Killing Spree

23: Chapter 23 Details and Finishing TouchesQi Yin’s fingers glided across the screen, calmly and methodically assigning tasks.

”Our goal this time isn’t large cargo; I’ve already arranged that, and the quantity is sufficient.”

”The focus is on scattered items—things that are easily overlooked but can come in handy at critical moments. Furthermore, speed is essential, keep a low profile, and finish before eight o’clock tonight.”

Her fingertips pointed precisely to different surveillance locations.

”Brother Xu is proficient in combat and reconnaissance, and Wen Yang has a large build and astonishing strength. You two go with Uncle Chen to the hardware wholesale market in the west of the city and the several large building material supermarkets nearby.”

Qi Yin spoke quickly but with great clarity.

”Remember your focus: batteries of all models, especially specialty lithium batteries and high-capacity dry cell batteries. Buy as many as you can.”

It wasn’t just those; also various specifications of screws, nuts, nails, bearings, high-strength nylon ropes, hydraulic pliers, and so on.

Even small household solar panel kits and full sets of electric and manual tools—from impact drills to angle grinders—nothing should be left behind. Take them as soon as you see them.

These supplies are the foundation for maintaining and repairing buildings. They can no longer be produced during the Apocalypse, so we must be fully prepared now.

Qi Yin continued: ”Jiang Yao is not much older than me, has a flexible mind, and has a natural affinity for electronic equipment and machinery. You need to act alone.”

The large screen switched to the tech park in the south of the city, showing scales and counters selling electronic components. The task was assigned to Jiang Yao within the enterprise.

His task was to sweep up all models of civilian chips, circuit boards, high-end graphics cards, mechanical hard drives, and solid-state drives.

Additionally, there were data cables with different interfaces, power banks, high-power walkie-talkies and spare batteries, and drone spare parts and batteries.

Qi Yin even considered niche materials like radios, soldering irons, and rosin.

After all, technology is another pillar; every one of these parts used is one less available.

The image on the screen froze on shelves and freezers displaying medicine.

”Wang Tianyu is the most meticulous person in the team and the only one among us who has received professional field medical training. You also need to act alone.”

Life support cannot be questioned; this is the final sweep for medicine. We will collect more whenever we encounter it in the future.

She planned to buy all available prescription drugs, especially antibiotics, anti-hypertensives, diabetes medication, and more insulin.

Medical alcohol, iodine, gauze, plaster, scalpel blades, syringes, sterile gloves, goggles, protective suits, and other supplies could never be enough.

In any case, whether it’s Western medicine or traditional Chinese medicine, regardless of whether we recognize them or not, just sweep everything up.

Qi Yin finally circled several areas: ”I will go to the boutique supermarkets in these high-end malls and the largest chain of baby supplies stores.”

Supplement with high-end chocolate, candy, coffee beans, and tea, which can be used as currency.

Also, sweep up some milk powder, honey, cheese, and various baby formulas, diapers, baby food, and common medicines.

These can greatly improve the quality of life during the Apocalypse and will also be bargaining chips for exchanging scarce materials in the future.

Qi Yin’s gaze swept over the five people: ”Remember our code of conduct: act separately, must use cash or small gold bars, keep a low profile, and do not attract large-scale attention.”

”If you encounter interrogation or obstruction, or if the situation is not right, abandon it immediately. Safety first; we aren’t short of these few things.”

After all supplies are obtained, they will be temporarily placed in their No. 3 abandoned warehouse shelter, and then she will store them all in her space.

The task allocation was complete. The five stood up, their eyes sharp: ”Understood.”

”It’s been a long time since I did real work; my hands are itching.” Jiang Yao rubbed his hands together.

Chen Quan gave his shoulder a nudge: ”Stop fooling around, get to work.”

”Yes!” Jiang Yao stood at attention.

They quickly checked the cash and small gold bars hidden under their clothes and left in batches.

The operation unfolded methodically.

There wasn’t much time left. On the screen, one could see several people changing into ordinary clothes and blending into the crowd.

In the hardware market, Chen Quan directed Xu Yongning and Wen Yang to go straight to the corresponding boss, hand over a gold bar, and speak quickly in a low voice.

The boss bit the gold bar, his eyes instantly lit up, and he immediately called his clerks.

Subsequently, they began to move boxes of various models of batteries and other parts from the warehouse in the back, and even several sets of large, unopened hydraulic tools.

Wen Yang’s strength was as great as his size; he could easily carry a box of batteries by himself.

Xu Yongning observed the surroundings vigilantly. Soon, their cart was piled as high as a small hill.

Meanwhile, Jiang Yao carried a huge backpack, like a fanatical hardware enthusiast, weaving through various counters.

”How many hard drives of this model are left? I want them all. Help me carry them to the car!”

”And these walkie-talkies, I want as many as you have in all frequency ranges. Carry them to the car!”

The boss thought: A living Bodhisattva, move them immediately!

The small train carriage Jiang Yao drove was filled at a rapid speed, packed with various chips, circuit boards, and so on.

Wang Tianyu was the calmest. He held the list he had organized on the way and went straight to the owners of various large pharmacies, communicating in a very professional manner.

”How many of these medicines do you still have in your warehouse? Our charity organization needs to purchase a large quantity of these drugs for disaster relief.”

Sometimes, he would directly show a small gold bar. After hesitating for a moment, the other party would often be conquered by the ”money power” and take him to the warehouse.

After checking the production dates and shelf lives of the medicines to confirm they were not expired, he had the boss load everything into woven bags and transport them to the car.

As for Qi Yin, she was sweeping through high-end malls, pushing a huge shopping cart, throwing target products into the cart as soon as she saw them.

Imported chocolate, tea, and coffee beans quickly filled the cart. After paying with cash, she found an empty place to store the items in her space.

She changed her clothes again and continued to sweep up other things.

Before long, other high-end milk powder and diapers in the mall were directly cleared out.

Before other customers could express their dissatisfaction, Qi Yin had already harvested the last batch of goods and left the mall silently.

On the folding computer screen, the progress of the others was okay.

Only Wen Yang and the others attracted the attention of security because they bought too many compressed dry rations and canned goods at once, and the security tried to step forward to limit the purchase quantity.

Uncle Chen stepped forward at the right time, handed the other party several packs of cigarettes, and casually bluffed that it was for construction site procurement, which barely fooled them.

Jiang Yao also encountered a profiteer who raised prices on the spot. He turned and left, without any hesitation.

Overall, this material sweep was safe and sound.

Several hours later, at the abandoned warehouse shelter.

Several trucks drove in one after another and stopped in the center of the empty warehouse. Several team members jumped off the trucks, showing their results.

It was almost exactly as Qi Yin had requested on the list.

These supplies basically covered every aspect of civilized society, from parts for repairing tools to life-saving medicines, as well as guaranteeing the needs of the most vulnerable infants—everything was available.

Qi Yin quickly looked around, confirmed there were no problems, reached out her hand, and aimed it at the supplies in front of her.
