The Rebirth of the Fierce Little Cute Girl

Chapter 536: Chapter 535: Gradual Recovery

Upon hearing what Huang Yanquan said, Yue Jun couldn’t help but glare at him, ”Kidnap me? How do you plan to do that?”

Huang Yanquan burst out laughing, ”Isn’t that simple? I could just carry you off.”

Yue Jun gave him a helpless glance and then asked, ”Are we really going to have dinner?”

”Of course! I’ve already reserved a table. Let’s go, I’ll take you there now.” With that, they headed to Shangjing Restaurant.

Meanwhile, after Yiyi went back to school, she found that the course pace was slow over the past few days, so she managed to catch up with most of her classes in half a day.

Feng Yudan, seeing how quickly Yiyi had caught up with her lessons, said with admiration, ”Yiyi, you’re really amazing, you understood everything so quickly.”

Yiyi couldn’t help but smile at this, ”I had already gone through the books before, and with your notes, it made things clearer.”

”Anyway, you’re just really good.”

Feng Yudan admired her even more, especially since they had been working part-time at Yiyi’s pharmacy lately, and they gradually understood how things worked there, which increased their respect for Yiyi.

”Yiyi, let’s go out for a nice dinner tonight, our treat.”

They had made quite a bit of money from their part-time pharmacy job, so treating Yiyi to a nice meal wasn’t an issue.

But Yiyi shook her head and said, ”I’ve got things to do tonight, how about we go tomorrow night?”

Feng Yudan naturally nodded, ”Alright, it’s decided then, let’s go out for dinner tomorrow night.”

Tao Cuizhu took the opportunity to pull Yiyi aside, saying, ”Yiyi, did you hear? That Miao Shou Medical Hall on the street has closed down. Their medicine pills weren’t up to standard, so they were forced to shut down.”

At this, Tao Cuizhu was visibly satisfied.

”Such pharmacies should close down early to prevent harming others.”

Yiyi smiled and said, ”Indeed, such pharmacies should have closed long ago.”

Fu Yun had already informed her about Miao Shou Medical Hall; it turned out the hall was run by that old poison master and Ye Jia Ren.

No wonder the medicine pills had issues; the old poison master saw that their pharmacy was producing so many effective pills, so he copied the formula and used stronger drugs to make the effects more immediate. But, naturally, those strong drugs caused side effects, which was why Gu Tingting was getting skinnier.

After class, Yiyi bid farewell to her dorm mates and went to the hospital as she planned to check on Gu Tingting’s health status.

She had developed a nutrient liquid that Gu Tingting had been taking for a while, and she wanted to see the liquid’s effect.

When Yiyi arrived at the hospital, she was immediately greeted by Zhuang Caixin.

These days, Zhuang Caixin was all enthusiasm whenever she saw Yiyi.

”Yiyi, you’re here! Are you visiting Tingting? Come in, have a seat. Tingting has been recovering well, thanks to you.” As she spoke, she held Yiyi’s hand and led her directly to the ward.

Right then, Gu Tingting was sitting on her hospital bed. When she saw Yiyi, she quickly greeted her.

Her expression was still a bit awkward, as their family’s attitude towards Yiyi hadn’t been great before. Now, she felt a bit embarrassed about Yiyi’s help.

When it came to expressing gratitude, Gu Tingting mustered her courage and sincerely said, ”Sister-in-law, I really need to thank you this time. I’ve felt a lot better recently.”

”No need to thank me; I’m just glad you’re recovering. By the way, what does the doctor say?”

Zhuang Caixin broke into a huge smile at this.

”The doctor said that Tingting can go home in two days. But, Yiyi, I trust your opinion more. Do you think it’s okay for her to go home?”

Yiyi checked Gu Tingting’s pulse and smiled, nodding, ”There’s no problem now; just make sure to properly nourish yourself over the next year. Tingting was quite depleted before, so this year is crucial for her recovery.”

Zhuang Caixin quickly nodded, ”Rest assured, Yiyi, I’ll take good care of Tingting and restore her health.”

Gu Tingting also compliantly said, ”Sister-in-law, rest assured, I’ll definitely follow the treatment.”

The nutrient liquid Yiyi concocted was terribly bitter, but for the sake of her body, she dutifully drank it every day, cooperating fully.

While they were chatting, Old Mrs. Gu entered the room.

Seeing Yiyi there, Old Mrs. Gu cheerfully said, ”Yiyi, you’re here too.” After setting down the fruits she had brought and chatting with her granddaughter, she invited Yiyi, ”Why don’t you come over for dinner? Then let the driver take you home afterward.”

Yiyi didn’t refuse and left with Old Mrs. Gu.

Old Mrs. Gu happily walked with Yiyi, saying, ”Tingyu must have contacted you, right? He’ll be here tomorrow. Oh, it surely hasn’t been easy for you both, not having seen each other for a while. I heard he can rest for two days this time, so you should have a good talk.”

Yiyi nodded and smiled, ”Sure, Grandma, when Tingyu comes back, we’ll definitely have a lot to talk about.”

However, unexpectedly, upon arriving home, they found Gu Tingyu already there, conversing with Mr. Gu.

Seeing Gu Tingyu, Yiyi was quite surprised.

”Tingyu, did you come back today?”

Gu Tingyu was equally delighted to see Yiyi, ”Yes, I came back today. Originally, I was planning on looking for you tomorrow morning, but you’re already here.”

Mr. Gu chuckled, ”Looks like you two are quite in sync. Alright, everyone hurry and sit down to eat.” Having finished his conversation with his grandson, he promptly called everyone to the table.

After dinner, Yiyi didn’t leave immediately but went out for a walk with Gu Tingyu.

”Yiyi, when your sister’s family visited, I couldn’t take a break. We’ll have to wait for them to come next time to host them properly.”

Speaking of Mo Xiaohong’s family, Yiyi recounted the previous events to Gu Tingyu and finally said, ”Hopefully next time my sister comes, her in-laws won’t tag along, so we don’t end up like this time again.”

She was really upset that Mrs. Zeng had indiscreetly revealed her mom’s personal affairs.

Seeing Yiyi’s angry expression, Gu Tingyu couldn’t help but ruffle her hair, saying, ”You’ve worked hard this time, taking them around all the places.”

As they walked, they chatted a lot, and eventually, Gu Tingyu accompanied Yiyi home.

When they arrived, Huang Yanquan had just returned, bringing Yue Jun back too.

Yue Jun, seeing Yiyi and Gu Tingyu, felt a little embarrassed, ”Tingyu, when did you get back?”
