Pokémon: My Parallel World Daughters Revealed

The video continued playing.

After washing her face, Hina was still in a half-awake, half-asleep daze.

”I can hear Pokémon much more clearly than before...”

She muttered quietly to herself, then turned and headed downstairs.

She had just reached the staircase when—

BOOM!

A tremendous noise came from the backyard.

Hina stopped.

Then came another.

BOOM!

And then—

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The rhythm was so dense that it sounded like an entire orchestra was performing in the backyard.

Hina slowly walked over and glanced through the floor-to-ceiling window.

The cup of water in her hand nearly fell to the floor.

Because at that moment... the entire backyard had turned into a Pokémon carnival.

A huge, round Snorlax stood in the open area behind the Day Care, both arms raised toward the sky as it belched at full volume.

Every time it burped, its belly bounced three times like jelly.

The other Pokémon from the Day Care had formed a circle around it and were clapping along with the rhythm.

”Buuuuurp——!”

”Pika, pika! (Nice! Do another one!)”

”Woooooo!!” (Amazing!! That pitch was perfect!!)

Meanwhile—

Beside a nearby flower bed, a Torterra was attempting to do a handstand.

First, it rolled onto its back and tried to support itself using the tree growing from its shell.

Then all four stubby legs began kicking wildly toward the sky.

Its shell looked like an overturned cooking pot as it slowly tilted farther and farther to one side.

Crack!

The instant Torterra toppled over, it crushed part of the flower-bed border.

It got back up.

Shook its head.

Then immediately tried the handstand again.

After watching all of this... Hina silently closed the window.

Then took two steps backward.

”I must still be asleep.”

She spoke very softly.

”Right...”

”I’ll go back upstairs and sleep a little longer.”

”When I wake up again, everything will be normal...”

She turned toward the stairs.

But the instant she stepped onto the first one—

A shadow appeared above her head.

Masquerain flew in through the window on the other side of the room.

Balanced on its head was a Sitrus Berry that nobody knew where it had found.

”Masque!” (Your Highness! You’re finally awake! It’s incredibly lively outside! This disciple just defeated Master by half a move in a dance battle—and Master only yielded that half-move to this disciple!)

Hina took the Sitrus Berry from its head.

”Um... Masquerain.”

”What’s going on with all the Pokémon outside?”

Masquerain landed on top of Hina’s head like an enormous silver-white bow.

”Masque!” (Your Highness need not worry! They aren’t sick! They simply feel incredibly good!)

”Feel... good?”

”Masque!” (Indeed! Half the Pokémon in town already know about it—if they stay near Your Highness’s house, their bodies become all warm and comfortable, like lying in the sun with their bellies exposed! And it improves their mood too!)

Hina’s golden eyes slowly widened.

She finally understood what was happening.

The range of her Power of Viridian...

Seemed to have gotten a little ridiculous.

And unlike before after its upgrade, the Power of Viridian appeared to have gained an additional effect that regulated emotions.

In other words—Hina had now become a walking Pokémon mood amplifier.

As long as Pokémon got close to her, they’d become as excited as if they’d chugged three bottles of Lum Berry soda.

This was terrible.

”This can’t continue...”

Hina took a deep breath.

Her voice was very quiet.

”I need to figure out how to control the Power of Viridian...”

”Otherwise...”

”I won’t even be able to leave the house anymore...”

[VIP Chat Group]

[Volkner]: That moment when Hina woke up and looked out the window... I could feel her despair through the screen.

[Aaron]: Wait, so Hina’s Power of Viridian can basically function like a stimulant now? Does that mean whenever she takes care of Pokémon in the future, they’ll be recovering while partying at the same time?

[Leon]: Right now, I just want to know how Asher and Dawn are going to teach her to control it. I have a feeling something ridiculous is about to happen again.

[Raihan]: Don’t ask. The answer is Quaxmen Dance: Season Two.

[Wallace]: Please... No more dancing. My eyes still haven’t recovered from Steven’s performance.

The video continued playing.

Dawsher House, living room.

Hina had wrapped herself in a thin, pale-green blanket.

Only her eyes were visible—

Along with one little strand of blue hair sticking out from the edge.

She was trying to force the overflowing Power of Viridian back inside her body.

But the harder she tried to suppress it—the more active it became.

It bubbled outward like someone had pressed the accelerator on a hot tub.

Two minutes later—

Tiny beads of sweat had appeared across her forehead.

”Kiddo, stop wasting your energy.”

Asher leaned against the doorframe.

”The Power of Viridian was never something you control by suppressing it.”

”The harder you push it down, the harder it rebounds.”

Hina raised her head.

Her golden eyes looked slightly watery.

”Dad...”

”Th-Then what should I do?”

”Simple.”

Asher pointed toward the group of Pokémon currently throwing a party in his backyard.

”Just distribute the excess power.”

”Distribute it?”

”Yeah.”

”Think of it like pouring tea.”

”If the teapot is too full, pour some into a cup.”

As he spoke Asher genuinely produced a teapot from behind his back and poured some tea into Hina’s cup.

”Those Pokémon outside refuse to leave anyway.”

”Use them all you want.”

Hina blinked.

Then one hand slowly emerged from beneath the blanket.

”Th-Then...”

”I’ll go try?”

”Go ahead.”

Asher stepped aside.

”Just don’t release too much at once.”

”It’s not good for your body.”

Hina walked to the backyard entrance.

Following the rhythm of her breathing, the Power of Viridian spread outward in gentle waves.

Every Pokémon in the yard stretched its body at the exact same time.

Then collectively released a sigh from the depths of their souls.

”Mmmmmmm~~~” (Now that’s the stuff~)

”Yadon!!” (Who came up with this stuff?! Get some in your mouth and it hits the spot!)

”Gururururu...” (So comfortable... I don’t even want to move...)

Looking at the scene before her—

Hina finally breathed a sigh of relief.

It’s okay.

She quietly reassured herself.

This should be okay...

Among all the Pokémon benefiting from the Power of Viridian, the greatest gains naturally went to Hina’s own team.

Her Roselia successfully evolved into Roserade as well.

Over the next several days the Power of Viridian’s effective range continued expanding.

Eventually, every wild Pokémon around the Day Care was bursting with energy, as though they’d been force-fed three bottles of concentrated Pokéblock extract.

However—

By the time Hina finally learned to stabilize the Power of Viridian within a relatively controlled range...

The consequences had already gone far beyond anything she’d expected.

The first victims were the rookie Trainers of Twinleaf Town.

In a small grove east of town—a Trainer who had just turned ten was practicing his very first wild Pokémon battle with his Turtwig.

”Go, Turtwig!”

”Use Tackle!”

Turtwig shot forward like a tiny cannonball toward a Bidoof that was peacefully chewing on a Berry.

The young Trainer already had everything planned out.

As long as the attack landed—

He could take the first-ever ”Victory Commemoration Photo” of his Trainer career.

Then send it to his mom and brag about it.

Turtwig was fast.

Its momentum was impressive.

It was just about to slam directly into Bidoof’s back—

When the Bidoof casually raised its head.

Its body barely seemed to move.

Yet somehow... it shifted half a meter sideways at an incredibly bizarre angle.

Turtwig’s Tackle missed.

BAM!

It crashed headfirst into a tree trunk.

Its eyes immediately turned into spirals.

The young Trainer froze on the spot.

Bidoof leisurely finished chewing its Berry.

Then it turned around.

Used its teeth to carve a single word into the tree—NOOB.

The Trainer stared at that word for a full ten seconds. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

Then—

”WAAAAAAAH!”

He burst into tears.
