Villain: Manipulating the Heroines into hating the Protagonist

Wang Jian decided Lyra would be his first target. Star Goddess Lyra, grace personified, jewel of Altan’s crown. If he could sway her, it would be a significant victory, a clear message to the Western Cosmos, and a delicious personal triumph.

”Lyra it is,” Wang Jian declared to his wives, back in the battleship’s opulent chamber. ”Zylos mentioned she is often at the ’Gardens of Starlight’ within the Nexus. A place of… contemplation, he said.”

Yujia nodded, her knowledge of celestial customs proving useful. ”The Gardens are indeed sacred to Star Goddesses. A place for meditation, for communing with the cosmic energies. It is… a place of peace, usually.”

”Peace is overrated,” Wang Jian chuckled, a predatory gleam in his eyes. ”Let’s disrupt some peace, shall we?” He turned to his wives. ”Xinqiao, Yujia, you will accompany me. Chenyu, Zhumin, remain here. We will need a… discreet retreat, should things progress favorably.” He winked, and Xinqiao giggled, Yujia smiled knowingly, while Han Chenyu and Jingyi Zhumin simply nodded, their faces serene and compliant.

The Gardens of Starlight were a breathtaking spectacle. Crystalline pathways wound through shimmering flora that pulsed with soft, internal light. Waterfalls of liquid starlight cascaded into pools that reflected the nebulae above. The air hummed with a gentle, resonant energy, a palpable sense of serenity and ancient power. Celestial beings moved through the gardens with quiet grace, their forms radiating a soft luminescence.

Wang Jian, Yujia, and Xinqiao entered the gardens, their presence immediately drawing subtle glances, but no overt hostility. They were strangers, but in the cosmopolitan Celestial Nexus, strangers were not uncommon. Wang Jian, with his striking demonic aura subtly veiled, blended in surprisingly well, his exotic charm simply adding to the diverse tapestry of the Nexus.

They moved deeper into the gardens, following the crystalline paths, searching for Lyra. Yujia, with her innate sensitivity to celestial energies, guided them. ”She is near,” Yujia whispered, her voice barely audible above the gentle hum of the gardens. ”I can feel her presence… radiating grace, just as they say.”

Rounding a bend in the path, they saw her. Lyra. She sat in a secluded alcove, bathed in the soft light filtering through the crystalline foliage. She was even more breathtaking than Zylos had described. Her skin shimmered with an inner starlight, her hair flowed like liquid moonlight, cascading around her in gentle waves. Her eyes, closed in meditation, were framed by long, luminous lashes. She exuded an aura of serene power, of ethereal beauty that was both captivating and intimidating.

Wang Jian stopped, momentarily taken aback by her presence. ’She is… magnificent,’ he thought, a genuine appreciation mixing with his predatory desire. He understood Altan’s possessiveness. Lyra was a prize worth conquering.

He composed himself, his demonic charm clicking into high gear. He gestured to Yujia and Xinqiao to remain slightly behind, then approached Lyra alone, his footsteps soft on the crystalline path. As he drew closer, Lyra’s eyes fluttered open. They were even more stunning up close, pools of liquid starlight, radiating ancient wisdom and serene power. She looked at him, her expression calm, unperturbed, but with a hint of regal curiosity.

”You are not of the Nexus,” Lyra said, her voice like the gentle chime of celestial bells, soothing and resonant. ”A traveler, perhaps?”

Wang Jian bowed slightly, a gesture of respect, but his eyes held a confident, almost challenging glint. ”Indeed, Star Goddess Lyra. I am Wang Jian, from a… distant cosmos. And I have journeyed far to witness the legendary beauty of the Western Cosmos, and especially… its most radiant star.” He let his gaze linger on her, allowing his demonic charm to subtly seep into the air, a silent invitation.

Lyra’s expression remained serene, unreadable. ”The Gardens are meant for quiet contemplation, traveler. If you seek sightseeing, there are designated paths for visitors.” Her voice was polite, but firm, a clear dismissal.

Wang Jian chuckled softly, undeterred. ”Sightseeing is… secondary, Star Goddess. My primary purpose is… admiration. And I find myself… deeply admiring the artistry of the cosmos in creating such… exquisite beings as yourself.” He stepped closer, his gaze unwavering, his demonic charm intensifying, a subtle pressure against her serene composure.

Lyra’s eyes narrowed slightly, a flicker of something akin to annoyance crossing her otherwise placid features. ”Flattery is a shallow art, traveler. Especially in the Gardens of Starlight. We value sincerity here, not empty words.”

’She is not easily swayed by simple charm,’ Wang Jian noted mentally. ’Good. Too easy is no fun.’ He shifted his approach, abandoning the overt flattery for a more intriguing, subtly challenging tactic.

”Sincerity, Star Goddess, is precisely what I offer,” Wang Jian said, his voice now lower, more intimate. ”Sincerity in my admiration, sincerity in my… curiosity. I have heard tales of Star Goddess Lyra, of her radiant grace, her unwavering loyalty to Starlord Altan. And I confess… I am intrigued. What makes a Star Goddess so… devoted?” He let the question hang in the air, a subtle challenge to her unwavering loyalty, a seed of doubt planted in her serene composure.

Lyra’s eyes sharpened, her gaze now directly locking with Wang Jian’s, a hint of steel entering her voice. ”Devotion is not a puzzle to be solved, traveler. It is a virtue, a strength. Something you, perhaps, are unfamiliar with?” Her words were pointed, a subtle jab at his unknown origins and implied lack of such virtues.

Wang Jian smiled, a slow, confident smile that conveyed amusement rather than offense. ”Unfamiliar? Perhaps. Or perhaps… I simply understand devotion in a different context. In my cosmos, strength is… paramount. And true strength lies not in unwavering loyalty, but in… the power to choose. The power to command devotion, not simply… receive it.” He subtly emphasized ’command,’ his demonic aura flickering around him, a hint of his own power, his own dominance.

Lyra remained unmoved, her serene composure seemingly impenetrable. ”Strength without loyalty is chaos, traveler. Power without purpose is… meaningless. Starlord Altan understands this. That is why he commands respect, not just… fear.”

’She is deeply entrenched in Altan’s ideology,’ Wang Jian thought, assessing her unwavering faith. ’Directly challenging Altan will only solidify her defenses. I need to find a crack, a vulnerability.’ He shifted his tactic again, moving away from direct confrontation and towards subtle intrigue, appealing to her curiosity and perhaps, her vanity.

”Respect and fear are… different sides of the same coin, Star Goddess,” Wang Jian said, his voice now smooth and persuasive. ”But what of… desire? Does Starlord Altan inspire desire, as well as respect? Or is devotion solely born of… obligation?” He let the question linger, a subtle insinuation that perhaps Lyra’s loyalty was more duty than genuine passion.

A flicker of something, almost imperceptible, crossed Lyra’s serene features. A hint of… something. Doubt? Intrigue? Wang Jian couldn’t be sure, but it was enough to encourage him. He had touched a nerve, however subtly.

”Starlord Altan inspires… all that is virtuous and noble,” Lyra said, her voice regaining its serene composure, but with a slight edge, a subtle defensiveness. ”He is the Starlord of Destiny, the protector of the Western Cosmos. Desire is… a lesser emotion, compared to the higher virtues he embodies.”

”Lesser, perhaps,” Wang Jian conceded, his voice thoughtful, almost philosophical. ”But is it… absent? Can even a Star Goddess truly deny the pull of desire, the allure of… forbidden fruit?” He let his gaze drift over her form, a subtle, appreciative glance, not overtly lewd, but undeniably suggestive.

Lyra’s serene mask finally cracked, just a hairline fracture, but visible nonetheless. A faint blush touched her starlight skin, her eyes narrowed slightly, a hint of… something akin to anger, or perhaps… something else entirely. She was no longer completely composed, her carefully constructed serenity slightly disturbed.

”You presume too much, traveler,” Lyra said, her voice now colder, sharper. ”You speak of things you do not understand. Leave the Gardens of Starlight. Your presence is… disruptive.” It was a clear dismissal, a final warning.

Wang Jian smiled, a small, satisfied smile. He had achieved his initial goal. He had engaged Lyra, piqued her curiosity, and most importantly, he had disturbed her serenity. He had planted a seed of doubt, a whisper of intrigue in her mind. The game had begun.

He bowed again, this time with genuine respect, but his eyes still held that confident, challenging glint. ”As you wish, Star Goddess Lyra. I would not wish to disrupt your contemplation. But know this, traveler though I may be, my admiration for your beauty, and my… curiosity about your devotion, is far from shallow. Perhaps… we shall meet again, in a less… serene setting.”

He turned and walked away, Yujia and Xinqiao falling into step behind him, their faces mirroring his own quiet satisfaction. As they left the Gardens of Starlight, Wang Jian spoke, his voice low and confident.

”Lyra is… formidable,” he admitted, a hint of genuine respect in his tone. ”But her serenity is a façade. I saw a flicker, a crack in her composure. The seed is planted. Now, we must nurture it.”

Xinqiao giggled, her eyes sparkling with mischief. ”And how do you plan to ’nurture’ a Star Goddess, my lord?”

Wang Jian smirked, his predatory gaze fixed on the shimmering paths of the Celestial Nexus. ”With… patience, my love. And with a touch of… demonic ingenuity. Lyra may be a Star Goddess, but she is still a woman. And every woman, no matter how devout, has her desires. We just need to find hers… and then, offer her something… Altan cannot.”

He led his wives back towards their hidden battleship, his mind already racing, formulating the next stage of his plan. Lyra was just the first step. Elara and Seraphina awaited. And Wang Jian, the demonic conqueror, was ready to play his game of seduction in the ethereal realm of the Western Cosmos. The hunt for celestial beauties had begun.
