Villain: Manipulating the Heroines into hating the Protagonist

The day of the Lord of Volcanic Peaks’ birthday dawned, bringing with it an air of festive excitement. The Blazing Rock Star, his personal domain, thrummed with activity. The Royal Palace, a magnificent structure carved from volcanic rock and adorned with shimmering obsidian and fiery crystals, was abuzz with preparations. Banners bearing the Wufang clan’s insignia – a stylized volcano erupting with crimson flames - fluttered in the warm, sulfurous breeze.

A grand celebratory banquet was to be held within the palace’s main hall, a vast chamber with a soaring ceiling that showcased intricate carvings of fire dragons and phoenixes. Tables laden with exotic delicacies and rare wines stretched across the polished obsidian floor, reflecting the light from the numerous fire crystals that illuminated the hall.

Allies of the Radiant Sun Sect, prominent members of the sect itself, and representatives from various other factions within the Crimson Flame Belt had gathered for this momentous occasion. Sect leaders, grand elders, alliance partners, and their respective offspring filled the hall, creating a vibrant tapestry of colorful robes and excited chatter. The Radiant Sun Sect, as the leading power in the region, held a place of honor, their delegation led by Young Sovereign Feng Xuan, the son-in-law of the Lord of Volcanic Peaks and husband to his only daughter, Wufang Xinqiao.

The banquet commenced with a formal ceremony. The Lord of Volcanic Peaks, a man of imposing stature with a face etched with the wisdom of ages and a powerful aura that radiated authority, took his place at the head of the main table. His wives, adorned in elegant gowns of crimson and gold, gracefully poured wine into his cup. A toast was raised, honoring the Lord’s long life and continued prosperity, the resounding cheers echoing through the vast hall.

Then, Wufang Xinqiao made her entrance. She wore a flowing dress of deep crimson silk, embroidered with intricate patterns of golden flames. The dress was designed to be elegant, but on Xinqiao, with her voluptuous figure and undeniable sex appeal, it had a different effect. The fabric clung to her curves, accentuating her full breasts, her narrow waist, and the gentle flare of her hips. Her fiery red hair, usually tied back in a practical braid, cascaded down her back in loose waves, framing her striking features.

A collective gasp swept through the hall as she entered. All eyes, particularly those of the male cultivators present, were drawn to her like moths to a flame. Her presence was captivating, radiating a raw sensuality that was both alluring and intimidating. Many yearned to approach her, to engage her in conversation, to bask in the warmth of her presence. But the daunting aura of Feng Xuan, her husband and Young Sovereign, acted as an invisible barrier, preventing any unwanted advances. ’She is truly a goddess,’ many thought, their hearts pounding in their chests. ’But she is beyond our reach.’

After the initial greetings and pleasantries, the time arrived for the presentation of gifts. One by one, the guests approached the Lord of Volcanic Peaks, offering their carefully chosen presents. There were rare spirit herbs, ancient artifacts, powerful weapons, and precious jewels, each gift a testament to the giver’s respect and wealth.

Feng Xuan observed the proceedings with a calm demeanor. He watched as his father-in-law received each gift, offering polite words of thanks and appreciation. He remained unperturbed, secure in the knowledge that his own gift would far surpass anything that had been presented thus far. ’These are all mere trinkets,’ he thought, a hint of arrogance creeping into his mind. ’My gift will truly be worthy of his stature.’

Finally, after numerous presentations, it was Feng Xuan’s turn. He stepped forward, a confident smile gracing his lips. He gestured to a large, ornate chest carried by two of his personal guards. With a flourish, the chest was opened, revealing its contents: a shimmering, pulsating orb of pure fire energy, contained within a delicate cage of interwoven obsidian and gold.

”Esteemed Father-in-law,” Feng Xuan began, his voice resonating through the hall. ”I present to you the Heart of the Firestorm, a fragment of a dying star captured within the depths of the Volcanic Nebula. This orb contains a concentrated essence of pure fire energy, capable of fueling even the most powerful of flames. Its energy is said to be capable of reigniting even the most extinguished of volcanoes.”

A collective gasp swept through the hall. The sight of the pulsating orb, radiating intense heat and light, was truly awe-inspiring. The description Feng Xuan provided further amplified the impact of his gift. The Heart of the Firestorm was a treasure of immense value, a unique and powerful artifact that would be highly prized by any cultivator, especially one with an affinity for fire like the Lord of Volcanic Peaks.

Murmurs of admiration and awe rippled through the crowd. Sect leaders exchanged impressed glances, grand elders stroked their beards in contemplation, and even the normally stoic alliance partners showed signs of surprise. ’Such a magnificent gift,’ they thought, their eyes fixed on the pulsating orb. ’The Young Sovereign has truly outdone himself.’

The Lord of Volcanic Peaks himself showed a genuine look of appreciation, his eyes gleaming with excitement as he examined the Heart of the Firestorm. ”This is... a truly remarkable gift, Xuan,” he said, his voice filled with genuine admiration. ”I am deeply grateful.”

Feng Xuan beamed with pride, basking in the praise and admiration. ’This will surely solidify my standing within the Wufang clan,’ he thought, a sense of satisfaction washing over him. ’This gift will be remembered for generations to come.’

However, amidst the general atmosphere of awe and admiration, Feng Xuan failed to notice the subtle shift in his wife’s expression. Wufang Xinqiao’s eyes, which had initially widened with polite interest at the unveiling of the Heart of the Firestorm, now held a distinct look of disappointment.

She had witnessed the true magnificence of the Crimson Dawn, had felt its power coursing through her veins. Compared to that legendary blade, the Heart of the Firestorm, while impressive, seemed... insignificant. ’It’s... just a ball of fire,’ she thought, a faint frown creasing her brow. ’It’s nothing compared to the Crimson Dawn.’

Her gaze swept across the hall, searching for a familiar figure. She had hoped, perhaps foolishly, that Wang Jian would be present at the banquet, that he would personally present his gift to her father. But she saw no sign of him. ’Where is he?’ she wondered, a pang of disappointment striking her heart. ’Why isn’t he here?’

She quietly observed the rest of the banquet, her mind preoccupied with thoughts of Wang Jian and the Crimson Dawn. The festivities continued, but for Xinqiao, the magic of the occasion had been dimmed. The grand spectacle, the lavish gifts, the adoring gazes - none of it could compare to the memory of that crimson blade.

The banquet continued, the hall filled with the sounds of music, laughter, and polite conversation. However, Xinqiao remained somewhat detached, her thoughts still lingering on Wang Jian and the Crimson Dawn. She discreetly scanned the crowd, hoping to catch a glimpse of him, but he was nowhere to be seen. ’Perhaps he changed his mind,’ she thought, a pang of disappointment striking her. ’Perhaps he won’t come after all.’

Just as she was about to resign herself to his absence, a commotion arose near the entrance of the hall. Two guards, their faces etched with a mixture of confusion and apprehension, approached the main table.

”Lord Volcanic Peaks,” one of the guards announced, his voice slightly strained. ”A... a visitor has arrived. He claims to be a collector and wishes to present a gift to you.”

A ripple of surprise swept through the banquet. Heads turned, murmurs arose, and even Feng Xuan and the Lord of Volcanic Peaks raised their brows in curiosity. ’A collector?’ they thought, their minds trying to decipher the meaning behind this unexpected arrival. ’Who would dare to interrupt such an important occasion?’

Before anyone could react, however, Xinqiao spoke up, her voice clear and composed. ”I know this collector,” she said, her gaze fixed on the approaching guards. ”He is a guest of mine. Please, escort him in.”

The guards exchanged startled glances, clearly surprised by Xinqiao’s intervention. They hesitated for a moment, then nodded respectfully and turned to usher the visitor into the hall.

Feng Xuan turned to Xinqiao, a hint of curiosity in his eyes. ”A guest of yours, Xinqiao?” he asked, his voice gentle but with a subtle undercurrent of inquiry. ”You didn’t mention anything about this.”

Xinqiao offered a polite smile. ”It was a rather last-minute arrangement, Xuan,” she explained. ”He is a... connoisseur of rare artifacts, a collector of extraordinary treasures. He expressed a desire to present one of his prized possessions to my father, and I saw no reason

to refuse.”

Feng Xuan nodded slowly, his expression thoughtful. He trusted Xinqiao’s judgment, and he assumed that this ”collector” was simply a wealthy merchant or nobleman with a penchant for collecting. He was, however, curious to see what kind of treasure this individual would present. After all, he had just gifted the Heart of the Firestorm, a treasure of immense value. It would be interesting to see if this collector could offer something comparable.

The hall fell into a hushed silence as the guards reappeared, escorting a tall, imposing figure

into the banquet. As Wang Jian stepped into the light, a collective gasp swept through the room. Every single female present, and even a good number of the men, were struck by his sheer presence. His silver hair, contrasting sharply with his dark attire, framed a face of striking beauty, his features sharp and refined. His green eyes, gentle yet piercing, seemed to hold a depth of wisdom and experience that belied his youthful appearance.

But it wasn’t just his physical appearance that captivated the crowd. The more perceptive cultivators could sense a mysterious aura surrounding him, a subtle but undeniable aura of power that hinted at his extraordinary strength. It was clear to them that this was not an ordinary collector.

Many of the women present, even those who were already married or betrothed, found themselves comparing Wang Jian to their own husbands or suitors, and even to their Young Sovereign Feng Xuan. And many concluded that Wang Jian’s appearance surpassed even Feng Xuan’s renowned handsomeness. Furthermore, the mysterious aura that enveloped Wang Jian was far more captivating, more... charming, than the domineering aura that radiated from

Feng Xuan.

Feng Xuan himself frowned slightly as he took in Wang Jian’s appearance. He could sense the faint but undeniable presence of Divine Ascension Realm power emanating from Wang Jian. It wasn’t a blatant display of power, but rather a subtle leakage, a hint of the immense strength that lay beneath the surface. While the power wasn’t enough to make Feng Xuan feel threatened, it was enough to pique his interest. ’This man is... intriguing,’ he thought, his eyes narrowing slightly. ’He is not as simple as he appears.’

Wang Jian swept his gaze across the assembled guests, his eyes lingering for a moment on

Xinqiao. He gave her a subtle nod, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. His gaze then shifted to Feng Xuan, acknowledging his presence with a polite but impersonal nod. Finally, his eyes settled on the Lord of Volcanic Peaks, and a respectful smile spread across his face.

”Lord Volcanic Peaks,” Wang Jian said, his voice smooth and resonant, ”my sincerest congratulations on your birthday.”

The Lord of Volcanic Peaks, intrigued by this unexpected guest, returned the greeting with a polite smile. ”Thank you, esteemed guest,” he replied. ”I understand you have a gift for me?”

Wang Jian nodded. ”Indeed,” he said, his eyes twinkling with a hint of amusement. ”I have travelled far and wide, searching for the most exquisite treasures. And I believe I have found one that will be... particularly appreciated by a connoisseur such as yourself.”

With a smooth, almost casual flick of his sleeve, Wang Jian reached into what seemed like thin

air and produced a long, slender blade. The blade rested on his open palm, its crimson surface gleaming under the light of the fire crystals.

The effect was immediate and profound. A collective gasp echoed through the hall, silencing

all conversation. Every eye was drawn to the blade, and a wave of disbelief washed over the assembled guests. The air seemed to crackle with an unseen energy, a palpable sense of power that emanated from the crimson blade.

If Feng Xuan’s Heart of the Firestorm possessed the power of a single star, then this blade,

the Crimson Dawn, seemed to possess the power of a thousand. The sheer magnitude of its presence was overwhelming, dwarfing everything else in the hall.

The Lord of Volcanic Peaks himself stared at the blade in stunned silence, his eyes wide with

awe.

Even Feng Xuan, who had been so confident in the value of his own gift, felt a chill run down

his spine. He could sense the immense power radiating from the blade, a power that far

surpassed anything he had ever encountered. ’What... what is this?’ he thought, his mind reeling. ’This... this is impossible.’
