Villain: Manipulating the Heroines into hating the Protagonist

Su Xian and Fen Shuying wasted no time in mobilizing their respective teams for their assigned missions.

Su Xian gathered her subordinates, excluding Meng Xiangyi and Xiao Ling, and set off towards the residence of Bixi Shuyan’s Silver Tailed Fox Race.

They joined forces with the members of the Silver Tailed Fox Race, ready to embark on their expedition to investigate the marked locations on the map.

Meanwhile, Fen Shuying assembled her team and rendezvoused with Kang Huian and her warriors. She made sure that two teams were prepared for their tasks.

One team would be responsible for engaging and defeating any enemies at the locations provided by Su Xian’s team, while the other team, consisting of members skilled in resource acquisition, would seize and transport the valuable items to nearby secret warehouses.

Wang Jian had meticulously prepared for these operations, acquiring covert warehouses scattered across the Empire. Some were concealed underground, while others were hidden within dense forests or inconspicuous corners of bustling towns.

To facilitate the mission, Fen Shuying’s Night Dagger Clan would contribute members adept at stealth and subterfuge.

The initial plan at each location involved discreetly neutralizing the guards, after which Kang Huian’s Crimson Mammoth Tribe would arrive to seize the resources before transferring them to the designated warehouse.

Part of Kang Huian’s warrior contingent would accompany Fen Shuying, while the remaining members would guard the loot and maintain a presence with Fen Shuying.

Kang Huian herself would accompany the team responsible for transporting the resources to the warehouse.

This was because she would be entrusted with the Telephone Artifact, which would allow her to communicate with Fen Shuying and easily reunite with her.

Kang Huian’s Crimson Mammoth Tribe had been selected for this task due to their exceptional combat prowess.

In the event that Fen Shuying’s assassination team was discovered, and they encountered resistance during their looting operations, the formidable warriors of the Crimson Mammoth Tribe would be capable of overpowering any opposition.

Their strength and skills were perfectly suited for this crucial role.

As Wang Jian’s faction made their way towards the battlefield, the residents of towns near the devil forces were instructed to evacuate and seek safety deeper within the Empire.

In their absence, the various human factions took control of these towns and cities, fortifying their defenses against the impending demon onslaught.

Due to the overwhelming numbers of demons, the battlefield had been divided into three distinct sections.

The northernmost area, a hilly terrain, was occupied by the Second Princess’s faction. The advantageous high ground allowed them to rain down long-range arrow volleys infused with explosive talismans upon any daring demons that approached.

The second part of the battlefield comprised vast plains leading towards a city and a fortress, and it fell under the control of the Crown Prince’s faction. Here, the majority of the demon attacks were concentrated, requiring the Crown Prince’s forces to hold their ground firmly.

Fortunately, the human forces had deployed multiple defensive arrays, established by their Emperor Realm experts, encircling the area.

These arrays acted as a barrier, preventing the entire demon horde from overwhelming them. The demons could only breach the defenses in limited numbers.

The third part of the battlefield consisted of a forested area within the plains. This route was unconventional for human use, as dangerous beasts prowled the forest, mercilessly slaughtering trespassers.

However, the demon horde disregarded this danger and effortlessly traversed the forest to breach into human territory. Once inside, they could launch a pincer attack on the other two sections of the battlefield, tilting the odds in their favor.

Well, as of this moment, the Third Prince Wang Chen’s faction, alongside the powerful Emperor Realm experts of the Everlasting Mystical Empire, had stationed themselves within this treacherous forest. With ruthless efficiency, they engaged in a merciless slaughter of any demons who dared to enter through this unconventional route, determined to keep the battlefield balanced in the humans’ favor.

As Wang Jian’s faction drew closer to the battlefield, they encountered an Emperor Realm expert who appeared to be the leader of the Jade Order, affiliated with the Crown Prince’s faction.

Wang Jian’s eyebrow raised in curiosity upon seeing the approaching figure, yet he maintained a composed demeanor.

“Proceed to the southern part of the battlefield and prevent the demons from breaching the forest. Reinforce the barriers,” the Jade Order’s leader commanded, his voice resounding with authority.

Wang Jian nodded in understanding, acknowledging the importance of the task at hand. With a determined expression, he set off towards the third section of the battlefield, eager to secure and defend this vital area.

Just as Wang Jian prepared to depart, the Jade Order’s leader turned his gaze towards Yue Yanling, the revered Sect Mistress, and the Grand Elder of the Lotus Blossom Sect. His tone took on a polite and respectful note as he implored their assistance in facing the relentless demon attacks.

Both women directed their stares towards Wang Jian, a silent exchange of understanding passing between them. They were the only two Emperor Realm experts who had chosen to remain within the sect even amidst the invasion of the devils.

However, in this critical juncture, no one dared to question their reasons for not joining the battle earlier. The Jade Order’s leader genuinely sought their aid, a testament to their formidable abilities.

Wang Jian coldly locked eyes with the two women, a sardonic smile playing on his lips. It was a subtle signal that Yue Yanling immediately grasped.

She turned her attention to the Jade Order’s leader, her voice carrying a resolute tone. “We would like to accompany His Highness Jian’s faction. He will require our assistance should a Devil Emperor breach the barrier from his side.”

A flicker of annoyance marred the Jade Order’s leader’s expression as he glared at Wang Jian upon hearing Yue Yanling’s response. Clearly, he was displeased with their decision.

“I offered you a wonderful opportunity, Sect Mistress Yue. I hope you won’t come to regret this,” the Jade Order’s leader retorted, his tone laced with a touch of veiled warning, before departing for the crown prince’s faction’s location.

“Looks like he didn’t take kindly to our decision,” Yue Yanling remarked with a hint of amusement in her voice as she watched the Jade Order’s leader disappear into the distance. She glanced at Wang Jian, a mischievous glint in her eyes. “Well, it’s not like it matters to us. ”

Wang Jian chuckled as he responded, “Indeed. ”

Once the Jade Order’s leader had left, Wang Jian’s faction resumed their march towards the forested third part of the battlefield.

As they ventured deeper into the forest, their path was obstructed by a series of encounters with instinct-driven beasts, their ferocity prompting them to attack without hesitation.

However, before anyone from Wang Jian’s faction could retaliate and harm the creatures, Stella gracefully stepped forward, assuming her role as the Butterfly Spirit Queen. Her innate charisma and commanding presence granted her the respect and allegiance of all beastly creatures.

With a single gaze, Stella calmed even the most ferocious beasts, their aggression melting away. Instead of confrontation, these creatures recognized the significance of the impending battle against the wicked devils and chose to lend their support to Wang Jian’s faction.

The creatures accompanied Stella and the Silver Tailed Fox Race, led by Lady Zhuoran, as they walked alongside Wang Jian’s faction.

It didn’t take long for Wang Jian to reach the camp where the Third Prince’s faction was stationed.

As he arrived, Wang Chen, the Third Prince, came out to greet him with a warm and cordial demeanor.

Sensing Wang Chen’s aura, Wang Jian’s eyebrows arched in surprise.

His sensory abilities revealed that Wang Chen’s cultivation had already advanced to the King Realm, specifically reaching the impressive sixth stage. Such rapid progress was truly remarkable.

Moreover, Wang Jian’s keen senses detected a peculiar energy emanating from Wang Chen’s body. Alongside his Wind Element, there was an eerie shadow element tinged with a demonic attribute.

This revelation piqued Wang Jian’s interest and caused his eyes to narrow.

With a smile playing at his lips, Wang Jian inquired, “So, what is the situation on the battlefield, third brother?”

Wang Chen responded gravely, his voice filled with concern, “It’s truly dire, Jian. As you know, my faction lacks proficiency in direct combat, resulting in losses when facing the demons breaching the barrier. Many Emperor Realm experts came to assist us, but some of them fell victim to cunning traps set by the devils. I require your assistance in dealing with the devil groups that are breaching the barrier at the 43rd and 44th points.”

Wang Jian, ever astute, surveyed the surroundings using his Spiritual Sensitivity technique, extending his reach across the entire region.

His senses detected the spiritual energy emanating from multiple humans who stood alongside the devils, their attempts at concealing themselves with illusionary arrays proving futile against his heightened perception and immunity to all illusions granted by the Butterfly Spirit Queen’s Mark.

Notably, he observed that these humans and devils coexisted without engaging in combat. Instead, their spiritual energy indicated that they were waiting for someone. This gathering took place near the 43rd and 44th points mentioned by Wang Chen.

A realization struck Wang Jian, and his expression turned serious.

‘Ah, I see. Wang Chen is a traitor. He must have formed an alliance with the devils to bolster his strength. Leveraging his position as the Third Prince, he seeks to weaken the human forces by collaborating with the devils and targeting the Emperor Realm experts.’

‘Considering the Third Prince’s faction is the weakest among the human factions and lacks advantageous terrain, he naturally requires additional support. The Emperor Realm experts likely divided themselves based on their faction affiliations and the strength of their respective factions across the three parts of the battlefield.’

‘If I were to take my faction to the 43rd and 44th points, it is highly probable that the hidden humans and devils, concealed by the illusionary array, will launch a surprise attack while we are occupied with the devils breaching the barrier. This is indeed a cunning plan, Third Brother.’

As Wang Jian concluded his thoughts, he suppressed a devious smile that threatened to spread across his face. With a false sense of cordiality, he addressed Wang Chen, his smile feigned, “Certainly. I will handle those two spots. No devil shall breach from there!”
