Primordial Heir: Nine Stars

This girl was dangerous, extremely dangerous, she wasn’t sure she could win, fortunately she was not alone, Nero and Elreth were present and was looking at the woman whose lips curved upward. Things have become interesting.

’’Interesting! To think you’ll force me out this way. You calculated everything I see. This is getting fun!” She said as her golden eyes narrowed as she seized up the trio, her eyes lasting longer on Nero before she chuckled and snapped her fingers.

As she snapped her fingers two glowing portal appeared in front of the group and from them powerful beasts roared, two headed ogres, eight pairs of eyes glared at the girls as if they knew they had been summoned just to deal with the girls. The blue skinned two headed Ogre bellowed, chill escaping from it mouth, he could use the Law of Ice, it charged at Elreth who block the blow as they disappeared somewhere, meanwhile the red skinned two ogre who wield the law of fire engaged Khione who exchanged glance with Nero before disappearing, she had faith in her man.

’’The nuisances are gone, shall we start?” Subject #009 looking at Nero said. This would be his biggest challenge, his biggest fight he knew. His blood was boiling, excitement coursing through every fiber of his being. Both disappeared somewhere.

°°°

The world dissolved into a motion of cold blue and violent red. One moment Elreth was in the clearing, the next she was tumbling through a screaming vortex of wind, deposited onto a vast, frozen lake under a starless, purple sky. The air was so cold it burned her lungs. In front of her, shaking the very ice, stood the blue-skinned, two-headed Ogre.

Rarrrrrr!

It was a mountain of muscle and pure malice like a machine born for slaughter. Frost crackled on its blue hide. Each of its two heads—one scowling, one snarling—breathed plumes of air so cold it solidified instantly into razor-sharp ice dust. It wielded the Law of Ice, not with Khione’s finesse, but with primal, overwhelming force. In its hands was a massive club of black ice, studded with frozen spikes.

It didn’t roar again as it disdained doing this. It simply charged, a silent, earth-shaking avalanche of intent.

Elreth’s mind went quiet. The heat in her core roared to life in answer to the oppressive cold. Her spear blazed, a solitary sun in the frozen wasteland.

The Ogre swung its club in a horizontal sweep meant to cut her in half. Elreth didn’t dodge. She met it with a powerful parry.

She planted her feet, angling her spear. The flaming weapon met the ice club.

BOOOOM-SSSSSSS!

The collision was cataclysmic. Steam and shards of superheated ice exploded in a cloud. Elreth was driven back, her boots screeching across the ice, leaving molten grooves. The force numbed her arms to the shoulders. The Ogre didn’t flinch. Its other head breathed a concentrated jet of

”Ice Zero Breath.”

Elreth threw herself into a desperate roll. The breath hit where she’d been standing, flash-freezing a ten-foot circle of the lake into opaque, ultra-hard ice. She came up, lunging, aiming her spear like a bolt of fire at the Ogre’s knee.

”Phoenix Thrust!” A special spear skill blending fire and spear skill that belongs to the Samael.

The fiery point struck—and skidded off the thick, enchanted blue hide, leaving only a scorch mark. The Ogre backhanded her with its free hand.

The impact was like being hit by a glacier.

Bam!

Elreth flew, the air blasted from her lungs. She crashed through a jagged outcropping of natural ice, the shards tearing at her uniform and skin.

’’!”

She landed in a heap, pain blooming across her ribs. Cracked, she thought distantly, pushing herself up, tasting copper.

The Ogre was already upon her, bringing its club down in a vertical smash to pulp her.

Elreth used fire from her feet, ”Blast Step,” to propel herself sideways.

Bang!

The club smashed into the ice, not just breaking it, but causing a massive spider-web of cracks to race outwards across the lake’s surface.

This was the rhythm of the fight. A brutal, silent dance of annihilation. Elreth was like a flickering flame, the Ogre like a grinding glacier. She was faster, more agile, but one mistake, one solid hit, and she was finished she knew it. Her attacks barely scratched it. Its ice-club and freezing breath turned the battlefield into a deadly maze of slippery ground and sudden, piercing cold.

She tried everything.

”Flare Whip” to entangle its legs—the fire was snuffed out by the aura of cold.

”Sunburst Orb” exploded against its chest, melting a patch of frost but doing no real damage. She was burning through her prana, and the Ogre looked untouched.

Then, she saw it. A pattern. The Ogre’s two heads didn’t coordinate perfectly. The scowling head controlled the club. The snarling head controlled the breath. There was a micro-second lag between their actions.

She baited the breath. She stood her ground as the snarling head inhaled. At the last possible moment, she dove towards the Ogre, sliding between its legs as the freezing breath shot over her head. The scowling head, reacting to her sudden move, swung the club down where it expected her to be.

But she was underneath it. As the club slammed into the ice between the Ogre’s own feet, Elreth emerged behind it. She saw her chance—the back of its knee, a joint less armored.

Gathering every ounce of her remaining strength and royal fire, she screamed a silent scream and unleashed her most concentrated attack.

”Royal Flame: Penetrating Sunfire Lance!”

Her spear didn’t just glow; it became a thin, impossibly bright line of white-hot energy. She stabbed it into the Ogre’s knee joint with all her might.

This time, it penetrated. There was a sickening pop-hiss as superheated plasma met frozen tendon and bone. The Ogre bellowed in true pain for the first time, a deafening twin-roar that shook the sky. It staggered, one leg buckling.

But it wasn’t finished. Enraged, it spun with shocking speed, ignoring its wounded leg. Its massive ice club came around in a blind, furious sweep.

Elreth, exhausted from the ultimate thrust, couldn’t dodge fully. She raised her spear in a cross-block.

CRUNCH-SNAP!

The black ice club shattered her spear in two. The force of the blow, even partially blocked, caught her in the side. She heard more ribs go. The world became a blur of white pain and cold blue. She was launched again, skidding across the ice like a stone, coming to a stop at the edge of a vast crack, blood staining the ice beneath her.

The Ogre, limping badly, its knee joint smoldering, advanced for the kill. It raised its club high.

Elreth’s vision swam. Her weapon was gone. Her body was broken. The cold was seeping into her bones. She looked at the approaching monster, at the twin heads filled with mindless fury.

And a single, clear, defiant thought cut through the pain: I am a Samael. We do not fall to ice. She thought of a certain someone when she muttered those words inwardly.

With her last spark of prana, with the sheer, bloody-minded will of a princess forged in fire, she did not summon a new weapon. She focused the entirety of her Law of Fire into her right hand. Not as a flame, but as pure, contained thermal energy. Her hand began to glow, not orange, but a dangerous, transparent white, the air around it screaming as it superheated.

As the Ogre’s club descended, she didn’t try to move. She waited. At the last microsecond, she rolled onto her back and thrust her glowing hand upward, not at the club, but past it, directly into the Ogre’s chest, right between the two heads.

”From my heart... to yours. BURN.”

”Internal Conflagration.”

She released the energy. It wasn’t an explosion out. It was a transfer in. A seed of star-core heat injected directly into the Ogre’s frozen heart.

The creature froze. Its club stopped inches from her face. Its two heads looked down at its chest in confusion. A red glow appeared under its blue skin, right where her hand touched. The glow spread, tracing its vascular system like lava through ice tunnels.

Then, from the inside out, the Frost Ogre began to melt. Its flesh bubbled and steamed. Its roars became wet, choking gurgles. It stumbled back, clawing at its own chest, before collapsing into a massive, hissing pile of meltwater and dissolving slag.

Silence.

Elreth lay on the ice, her glowing hand now dark and blistered, her body a map of agony. She couldn’t move. She could barely breathe. The frozen lake, the starless sky—it all started to dim. But through the encroaching darkness, a single, triumphant ember glowed in her heart.

She had won. Utterly exhausted, gravely injured, but victorious. The last thing she felt before unconsciousness took her was the cold of the ice beneath her, and the fading, stubborn warmth of her own defiant fire.
