Martial God Asura

Chapter 6348: The God Mother Awakens

She was the God Mother, the humongous avatar who awakened when Chu Feng was fighting the God Clan. What appeared then was only an avatar, but this was her real body.

She revealed astonishing power that day, but Chu Feng still slew her avatar with the Asura Sword and even inflicted damage on her main body. That was where the blood on the corner of her lips came from.

“She seems to be alive. Is she from the Ancient Era?”

The Ye Immortal Clansmen dared not to carelessly disturb the God Mother lying in the hall’s center.

“Milord.”

The Ye Immortal Clansmen looked at the bald old man with nervous looks. Even their words were relayed via voice transmission.

They weren’t fools.

This palace was extraordinary, so much so that it was likely to be where the Divine Body Galaxy’s greatest treasure lay, as their clan chief had previously mentioned. Yet, such a lofty figure reminiscent of a deity suddenly appeared here.

It was one thing if she were dead, but they would be in trouble if she were one of the powerhouses who survived the Ancient Era.

“Don’t make a reckless move. This person is alive,” the bald old man warned.

The Ye Immortal Clansmen felt so nervous that they dared not breathe loudly.

The bald old man pointed the compass at the copper object beneath the God Mother’s body. The copper object was a gate, and the treasure was located beneath it. If they wanted to reach the treasure, they would have to move the sleeping God Mother.

The bald old man looked conflicted, but he clenched his jaws and ordered, “This will be risky. Let’s inform our clan chief first.”

No one objected to his call. On the contrary, the crowd breathed a sigh of relief. They had known from the moment they stepped into this palace that it was extraordinary, and as soon as they saw the God Mother, they understood that she was not an entity they could trifle with.

There was nothing they wanted more than to retreat now.

But a cold aura suffused the palace just as they were about to leave.

The God Mother opened her eyes and stood up.

Sensing the God Mother’s awakening, the bald old man held his position. He could sense how immensely powerful the God Mother was. There was no way they could escape if she intended to take their lives.

Thus, he turned around and respectfully bowed. “I am an elder from the Ye Immortal Clan, Ye Zun. We came here in search of a treasure. We didn’t mean to disturb your rest. Please pardon us for our insolence.”

The bald old man knew it was better to speak the truth to entities like the God Mother than to find excuses. It was common for cultivators to explore remnants, after all.

Shoosh!

The God Mother waved her sleeves. There was a ‘bam’, and the bald old man was reduced to a blood mist. She obliterated him without saying a word.

The Ye Immortal Clan’s elders turned pale in fright, for the bald old man was the strongest among them. Thus, they turned tail and fled.

BAM!

...

Dull thuds echoed simultaneously. All the Ye Immortal Clansmen had turned into blood mist. They couldn’t even let out a squeak before their deaths.

“I was awoken by mere bugs? How displeasing,” the God Mother murmured in displeasure.

She had intended to hibernate for a while longer, but she would wake up right away if anyone arrived in this hall. She was infuriated because her plan was foiled. But soon, she remembered something that further angered her.

It was her descendants’ massacre.

“Chu Feng and the Immortal Sea Fish Clan... No, it won’t be just them. Everyone in the world of cultivation shall die for my God Clansmen!”

Her murderous intent flared. She was planning to go on a massacre to destroy everything in the world of cultivation.

She formed a hand seal. Her eyes suddenly became far keener, allowing her to see through almost everything in this world, and her ears became exceptionally sensitive.

She was planning to search for clues relating to Chu Feng, but her eyes soon widened in shock. She looked down at the gate she was stepping on.

Unable to believe what she had just seen, she quickly opened the gate and went in.

Beneath the gate was a humongous cavern realm. It was created by a treasure that made it unassailable and impossible to peer into. Yet, a hole had appeared inside the cavern realm.

She first glanced at the hole before looking toward the center of the cavern.

At the center of the cavern was a mountain made of countless stones, emanating faint golden lights. These stones harnessed incredible regenerative properties and could be used for cultivation.

These stones didn’t have much energy left, and it wasn’t easy to use them for cultivation. Nevertheless, there was still a person sitting at the corner of the mountain, assimilating the stones.

It was an old woman.

Chu Feng would have trembled in excitement if he had seen this old woman—it was his grandmother.

“A bug snuck in here?”

The God Mother’s astonishment dissipated. She didn’t ask any questions nor lose her temper. Instead, she thrust her palm and unleashed a powerful surge of martial power at Chu Feng’s grandmother.

Despite her composed attitude, this attack was intended to kill! To her, this was no different from swatting a bug to death.

Boom!

The strike landed. The cavern realm, despite being made out of a treasure, shook.

Yet, the God Mother was stunned. She was even more astonished than when she first noticed someone inside the cavern realm.

Much to her shock, Chu Feng’s grandmother was unharmed!

Chu Feng’s grandmother had released a bundle of flames to block the God Mother’s apocalyptic attack.

“Who are you?” the God Mother asked.

It dawned on her that the hole didn’t happen from the treasure’s wear and tear. It was the doing of this old woman. The other party’s ability to block her attack showed that she was a force to be reckoned with.

Chu Feng’s grandmother finally opened her eyes to look at the God Mother.

The God Mother looked down on her from above, her graceful robes fluttering imposingly.

Chu Feng’s grandmother sat on the ground. She looked dignified but unadorned.

Their attitudes, appearances, and positions paralleled a deity contrasted against a mortal. However, their reactions showed a completely different picture. Chu Feng’s grandmother was nonchalant and calm, unfazed by the God Mother, whereas the God Mother looked flustered.

“You are...” the God Mother asked, wanting to get to the bottom of the other party’s identity.

Shoosh!

Chu Feng’s grandmother waved her sleeves. There was a loud explosion as a wave of flames instantly enveloped the cavern realm.

The flames were so intense that even the cavern walls crackled under the heat. Everything, except for the golden stones that could be used for cultivation, was reduced to ashes.

And this included the God Mother too!
