Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 630: Chapter 630: The Great Battle, Locking Power in a Cage_1

Bai Xiaosheng was completely unaware that, thanks to Wang Xincheng’s ”kind heart,” he had been noted down by the beautiful instructor even before the training class had started. Sticking to the rules had its risks; even a slight carelessness could lead to ”disaster.”

As for the training class, Bai Xiaosheng hadn’t given it much thought.

Thinking was useless anyway, as many circumstances were still unknown.

During this time, Bai Xiaosheng was determined to ensure the foundation of Zhongjing Media was stable.

For several days in a row.

Zhongjing Media had been frequently adjusting, with personnel changes and system modifications.

Moreover, under the initiative of Bai Xiaosheng, a brand-new Supervisory Council was established.

Twelve directors became the first-term affair supervisors, vested with the authority to vote against certain decisions made by the general managers and deputy general managers, and to organize a company-wide meeting for middle and senior management to reconsider decisions.

This new institution was what truly astounded everyone.

Where would you find a leader who not only actively delegated power but also allowed others to supervise themselves?

Only Mr. Bai could do such a thing!

”Although I am optimistic about the policies Mr. Bai has released, this one is really...”

”Yes, no one is a sage; everyone has emotions. Even Mr. Bai is no different. If we really use this power, won’t it make him angry?”

”It’s a good move, but it should be taken slowly. Such supervisory powers should be used with great caution, great caution!”

The opinions were divided, and ninety percent of people held a skeptical attitude.

When this news was passed on to Chen Changqing by an assistant, he just sneered on the spot.

”This Bai Xiaosheng has run out of tricks! Such a thing succeeding? That would be odd!”

Chen Changqing waited to see the joke unfold.

Regarding these matters, Bai Xiaosheng had already prepared himself psychologically.

When Lin Weiwei came to report, he just listened with a smile.

Lin Weiwei knew in her heart that Bai Xiaosheng was doing this so that Zhongjing Media could go further after his departure.

She understood Bai Xiaosheng’s painstaking efforts, so she admired him even more.

”Are Shi Yu and the others ready?” Bai Xiaosheng asked after listening to the report.

Lin Weiwei nodded with a smile, ”Ready, shall we start?”

”Start!” Bai Xiaosheng nodded.

That day, Bai Xiaosheng released a new system.

This system, unusually, was to be implemented directly without trial.

This was completely contrary to Zhongjing Media’s management methods for implementing new systems.

However, Bai Xiaosheng seemed determined to enforce it.

Inside the company, everyone was astonished, yet no one objected.

Yet, directors close to Bai Xiaosheng, such as Shi Yu, actually formed a group to protest in the general manager’s office, and opposed it in Bai Xiaosheng’s presence.

Their reasons were well-founded, and their words sincere.

They even employed the supervisory power that had been implemented ahead of time, calling a full meeting of managers and higher-level company executives.

At the meeting, Shi Yu and others made well-reasoned arguments, leading the vote against Bai Xiaosheng’s new system proposal.

What exactly happened at the meeting, the employees didn’t know.

They only received the final news—Mr. Bai had lost.

The new system that was to be released was withdrawn!

Suddenly, the company’s staff layer was boiling.

Chen Changqing was not invited, did not attend, but when he heard the news afterward, he was both shocked and angry.

”Bai Xiaosheng, could you make this play any faker!”

Anyone with half a brain could see that this was surely a scheme Bai Xiaosheng and Shi Yu had plotted together.

But it didn’t matter.

Bai Xiaosheng was merely constructing a ”scenario play” to demonstrate to the employees—an object lesson—that the Supervisorial Oversight Council had the power to check the general and deputy general managers and to reject resolutions!

After completing the ”performance,” Bai Xiaosheng opportunistically called a general meeting, affirmed the actions of Shi Yu and others, and reiterated the duties of the Supervisory Council.

This time, at the meeting, mid- and senior-level managers led the cheer with raised arms.

Bai Xiaosheng was extremely pleased.

However, to really bring the Supervisory Council’s authority into effect, he would have to stage a few more plays in the future, and have Chen Changqing play the ”unlucky guy” several times.

The ancients said, ”Three men make a tiger.”

It doesn’t matter if it’s fake.

Do it a few more times, and like psychological suggestion, everyone would start to believe it, even be convinced of it.

After dealing with this matter at the company, Bai Xiaosheng finally realized how time flies, it had passed so quickly. Tomorrow was the last day, and the day after tomorrow would be the first day of the training camp.

He believed that candidates from various places, even from other countries, had already arrived in Zhongjing.

But with so many hotels in Zhongjing, trying to find a few of them was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Even if he found them, it would be of no use.

Bai Xiaosheng wouldn’t waste his time and energy on such matters.

After a busy day, Bai Xiaosheng knew it was time to call it a day and go home. Only then did he have time to think about the training camp.

”Among those people, the one closest to Zhongjing is probably Mu Beichen. I don’t know which day the operations department booked his ticket for, but such a trivial thing as a ticket is hardly worth his notice; he’ll come whenever he feels like it. This time, we’re still opponents! Even, enemies!”

A sharp glint appeared in Bai Xiaosheng’s eyes.

”Speaking of which, with so many provinces and cities in East China, the two people Chen Jiutian recommended are both from Anjiang. If the general managers from the other provinces and cities knew, they might secretly send their regards to Chen Jiutian’s clan elders.”

Bai Xiaosheng chuckled and shook his head, stood up to heat himself a cup of milk, and sipped gently.

”Tomorrow, I can make a trip to Zhongjing University first to ’scout the place’ since there’s nothing else to do at the company now.”

Having said that, Bai Xiaosheng finished his warm milk, flung his sleeve, and went to bed.

At this moment, in a villa at Moon Lake in Zhongjing, Chen Jiuzheng’s home.

Mu Beichen was sitting and chatting with Chen Jiuzheng, all smiles.

It was just ten o’clock, early by their standards.

Mu Beichen, taking his mother’s surname and considered of the same generation as Chen Jiutian and Chen Jiuzheng, was just younger than the two. As a child, he was their little follower.

In his early years, Mu Beichen was greatly nurtured by Chen Jiutian, having always run Tianzheng Media.

Chen Jiutian and his brothers had immense trust in him.

”Beichen, I thought you wouldn’t arrive until tomorrow. Since you’re here now, you should stay here!” Chen Jiuzheng said with a smile.

Mu Beichen laughed.

”There’s no need, Brother Zheng. To avoid suspicion, I won’t come back again until the selection is over. I don’t want to give anyone a reason to discover me,” Mu Beichen said.

He was quite careful in concealing his whereabouts this time, not wanting to be found out by the inspection teams of the group.

”You always think things through. Let’s do it your way, then!” Chen Jiuzheng nodded and replied with a smile.

”Oh, did you receive the list I sent over the other day? Big brother went through a lot of effort to get it. Though it only has a dozen or so names, they are all candidates participating this time!” Chen Jiuzheng said, hoping it would be of help.

Mu Beichen nodded with a smile.

”It’s a tremendous help! I know some of these people, at least I’ve met them once. I will quickly get a grasp of their characters and get on their good side. Then, to deal with Bai Xiaosheng, we’ll start by isolating him!”

A cold smirk appeared on Mu Beichen’s face.
