Apocalypse Descent: Farming with My Harem

Chapter 1988: Chapter 664: Giant City Blueprint Preliminary Determined, Black Magic Hidden Danger

”The most important positions of City Lord and Deputy City Lord are obvious, of course, they are the Lord and the Lord’s Wife.”

”Aside from these, we also need an Administrative Officer, who will be responsible for basic administrative management, household registration, and so on...”

”Next is the Judicial Officer, who will draft relevant laws for the city and ensure they are effectively implemented.”

”Also, a Diplomat, responsible for diplomatic affairs with other cities and territories, signing agreements, resolving disputes...”

He paused here, observing the Lord’s reaction.

Cao Xing listened while slightly furrowing his brow.

In his territory, there really weren’t many talents in management.

Those with even a bit of ability in this area were basically all here.

These Administrative Officers, Judicial Officers, and Diplomats are relatively important positions, and there really aren’t any good candidates for now.

”Continue,” Cao Xing signaled.

Yorun nodded and continued: ”Above are positions related to administrative management.”

”Next are positions related to economic management.”

”For a territory to develop, the economy is of utmost importance.”

”Therefore, we need a good Finance Officer to manage taxes, the city budget, expenditures, and resource allocation, among other things.”

”In addition, he must conduct market oversight, combat fraud, monopolies, and illegal trading to create a good business environment for the city.”

”However, the workload is too heavy. I suggest equipping this Finance Officer with at least three or four assistants; otherwise, he will certainly be overwhelmed.”

”The other two more important ones are the Agriculture Supervisor, responsible for field management and food production,”

”and the Industrial Supervisor, responsible for the territory’s industrial development and resource allocation.”

Cao Xing once again nodded to signal, ”Continue.”

Then, Yorun continued to talk eloquently.

In addition to these basic positions, he added a large number more.

Including positions related to military defense, such as City Guard and Guard Commander.

Also, an Education Officer responsible for promoting territorial culture, and various positions responsible for medical care, hygiene, and maintenance of public facilities...

Adding up, there are at least a hundred positions that need to be arranged.

Edward beside him filled several pages, his brow continuously furrowed, seeming to have already exerted all his strength.

A moment later, Yorun took a long breath and said slowly, ”Lord, Lord’s Wife, I am finished.”

Cao Xing slightly nodded, ”Not bad.”

”Your considerations are indeed very thorough.”

After receiving the Lord’s approval, this small noble felt immensely gratified.

Gratified to have met a Lord who would listen to opinions, gratified to finally have a place to showcase his talents!

At this moment, Cao Xing continued leaning against the Shining Throne, lost in thought.

These positions are rather important, each one related to the normal operation and development of the territory in the future.

Finding so many talents is really no easy task.

Although Cao Xing could ask the Ice Crystal King for help, having him directly transfer a batch of people from the major Giant Cities to his territory.

Even several other Kingdoms would gladly help upon hearing his request.

But ultimately, these people are not really his own, and Cao Xing felt a bit uneasy.

At this point, seemingly noticing Cao Xing’s concern, Victoria first spoke actively beside him.

”The city’s Administrative Officer and Judicial Officer positions can be handed over to me.”

Her voice was calm yet powerful, carrying a sense of authority: ”I can oversee the administrative management of the future territory and quickly draft a set of related laws based on the experience of the Renova Kingdom.”

”This set of laws was implemented for a long time in the Renova Kingdom, proving its effectiveness and stability.”

”Moreover, combined with the strong war power of this territory, it can further ensure the execution of the laws, making the territory more stable and prosperous.”

Hearing this, Cao Xing’s eyes gradually brightened.

He believed in Victoria’s abilities.

As the former Queen, she not only possesses rich experience in statecraft, but also excellent leadership and judgment.

If she were responsible for the territory’s administration and judicial matters, he could be completely at ease.

Cao Xing nodded, ”Very well, then these two positions will be entrusted to you, and I’ll assign a few assistants to you.”

Victoria slightly nodded and then continued, ”Besides, I also have some suggestions.”

Cao Xing focused his gaze, signaling her to proceed.

Victoria spoke in a steady tone: ”This time building the city, although it seems on the surface just territory expansion, its implications are profound.”

”Currently, our territory possesses so many Legendary Strongmen, even powerful enough to rival demigod strength.”

”Among the surrounding Kingdoms, although not at a dominant level, it is already an extremely significant presence.”

”Thus, we can totally leverage this influence to display our strength and potential to surrounding Kingdoms and forces, attracting more resources, talents, and allies.”

She paused, then continued: ”Moreover, in our territory, there is a Legendary Forger and a Legendary Alchemist.”

”This is an incredibly scarce resource in any force.”

”We can base this to establish an Alchemist Association and Blacksmith Association.”

”Recruit more talent in alchemy and forging to join the association.”

”Then select the exceptional ones and absorb them into the territory.”

”In this way, not only can we enhance the overall strength of the territory, but also lay a solid foundation for future development.”

After Victoria finished speaking, the entire hall fell into a brief silence.
