Walker Of The Worlds

Chapter 2867: The Healing Heart Sutra

Lin Muʼs eyes opened.

The vast underground cavern was unchanged—yet now, it seemed brighter.

The hundreds of lotuses on the lake danced not merely with grace, but with joy.

They recognized him.

He who had embraced natureʼs truth.

He who bore the blessing of their progenitor.

And within him, the Healing Heart Sutra now hummed—serene, powerful, eternal.

Lin Mu stood at the edge of the lake, looking down at his own hands.

Once weapons.

Now… hands that could heal.

A quiet smile curved his lips.

”I understand,” he whispered. ”Even in this world of violence and chaos… there must be someone who heals whatʼs been broken.”

And with that, he bowed deeply to the lake, to the lotuses, and to the spirit who had gifted him this path.

Lin Mu took one last look at the lake, then leapt upward.

SHUA

His body passed effortlessly through the stone layers above, guided by the lingering path of his immortal sense. With Phase, he emerged once more at the small pond on the nameless farming peak.

But the place no longer felt ordinary.

Now, every blade of grass, every breath of wind, every grain of soil… felt aware of him.

Little Shrubby was waiting nearby, tail flicking anxiously.

”You were gone for a while.” The beastʼs voice carried concern. ”The others were asking about you too.”

”How long was I gone for?” Lin Mu asked, having no sense of time in that state.

”Four months.” Little Shrubby informed.

”That long huh...” Lin Mu hadnʼt expected that.

”What happened down there?” The kitten asked.

Lin Mu exhaled slowly, a calm breath that felt as though it nourished the mountain itself.

”I received a gift,” he said softly. ”One I didnʼt know I was seeking.”

He looked down at his palm. The image of the vine-encircled heart glowed faintly beneath the skin, visible only to him. A flicker of green-gold light shimmered around him—subtle, yet undeniably alive.

”I want to test it,” Lin Mu murmured. ”Letʼs see if I understand its will.”

He stepped toward a patch of dry, cracked earth nearby—a field left fallow for the season. The soil was pale and lifeless, awaiting the next round of planting.

Lin Mu stood at its center.

He closed his eyes, lifted his hands slowly, and chanted.

”Embrace the Heart of Nature and bask in its benevolence…”

The words flowed not from his throat, but from his soul.

”Cleanse your heart and purify all that taints the worlds…”

The glyph of the Healing Heart Sutra shimmered on his chest.

SHUA

A pulse of energy radiated from his body, silent yet resonant, like a temple bell struck deep within the ground.

At first, nothing happened.

Then—

TSSSS

Tiny cracks formed across the dry soil, not from pressure, but from growth.

A single sprout pierced through.

Then another.

Then dozens.

Vines curled upward from the ground, green and vibrant, unfolding their leaves toward the sunless sky. Buds burst open into bright flowers, and from barren earth, a meadow of radiant herbs, grasses, and tiny fruit-bearing plants came to life.

It was not wild growth. No chaos or overgrowth. Every stem and petal moved in harmony, as if shaped by unseen wisdom.

Even Little Shrubby took a cautious step back.

”This is…” he trailed off, nose twitching. ”Some of these herbs are mid-grade already! And you didnʼt even use seeds!”

Lin Mu opened his eyes.

Where once stood a man—now stood a figure cloaked in blooming life.

Vines curled gently around his legs like loyal pets. Blossoms opened at his feet. Trees began to bud nearby, reacting to his presence as if greeting an old friend.

And in the air—birds called. Insects stirred. Even the wind shifted, warmer, more fragrant.

He looked at his hands.

”Theyʼre… responding to my will,” Lin Mu whispered. ”But not as subjects. As companions.”

He turned and placed his palm on a dying tree at the edge of the slope. It had been struck by lightning long ago and was barely clinging to life.

SHUA

A wave of green light passed into the bark.

Within moments, the brittle wood grew supple. The cracked bark knit back together. New leaves unfolded with a sigh, and the once-dead branches bloomed with tiny white flowers.

The tree breathed again.

The Healing Heart Sutra did not just restore—it renewed.

Little Shrubby was now slack-jawed.

”Are… are you turning into a walking forest?” he asked, half awed, half alarmed.

Lin Mu gave a small chuckle.

”Maybe. Though I donʼt think Iʼm quite ready for bark skin just yet.”

He looked at the mountain around them.

Fields that once required weeks of labor could now be reborn in moments.

Wounds that needed rare pills or precious ingredients could be soothed with a single touch.

And the energy—oh, the energy.

This was no ordinary wood Qi.

It was sacred, wrapped in law. Nature refined through cultivation, spirit, and divinity.

”Itʼs not just healing,” Lin Mu said thoughtfully. ”Itʼs… purification. This energy can reache into the Dao itself. Cleansing possibly not just injury, but karma, memory, emotion… the roots of suffering.”

Little Shrubby stared at him. ”So youʼre like a walking spring… or a holy field?”

Lin Mu smirked. ”A healing cultivator with murderous strength. I suppose it balances out.”

He raised a hand and willed the plants around him to rest.

Like a tide receding, the flowers folded, the vines untangled, and the grass lay flat once more—returning the field to its original shape, though far more fertile.

No trace of his power remained… except in the soil itself.

”Iʼll need to be careful,” he murmured. ”This sutra may not be meant for battle… but itʼs not weak.”

He could feel it—the energy could rot poison, banish malice, purify corruption in even divine beings.

But it came with cost.

Empathy.

Openness.

Letting pain pass through him without turning away.

This was not a sword to wield.

It was a vow to live by.

And Lin Mu knew—there would be times that vow would be tested.

But for now, he looked over the newly blooming field and felt the remnant warmth of the lotus spirit within his chest.

He had taken another step.

Not toward power.

But toward purpose.
