Walker Of The Worlds

Chapter 2865: Completion Of The Litany Of Verdant Forests And A Call

From deep within his soul, a long-silent technique responded instinctively.

The Litany of the Verdant Forest.

SHHHHHHAAAAA

A stream of Wood Elemental Qi surged upward from the ground, flooding into him with no resistance. His body accepted it like a seed accepts sunlight, drinking in its warmth and clarity.

He did not need to chant. He did not need to guide the flow.

The technique activated on its own—organically.

Like a tree remembering how to grow.

The lotus lake responded.

Hundreds of blooms shifted and aligned, their movements forming a spiraling dance that mirrored the energy rising within Lin Mu.

He could feel it now.

The technique, once stagnant and incomplete, had begun to evolve.

Roots extended from his consciousness into the lake, tracing lines of energy that formed a vast sigil beneath the surface. It was as though the entire cavern had become a formation, and he was its core.

A gentle warmth spread through his limbs, neither overwhelming nor scorching.

This was no brute-force cultivation.

It was symphonic.

Each breath he took pulled in threads of energy that wove through his meridians like strands of silk. His skin tingled, his mind expanded, and his Wood Core began to shine with radiant clarity.

Then—

SHUA

A soundless shift echoed within his soul.

The bottleneck he hadnʼt even known existed shattered.

The Litany of the Verdant Forest had reached completion. The barrier that surrounded his soul no longer had any gaps.

It was fully covering his soul, protecting it from all harm!

Lin Mu floated slightly above the ground, the energy lifting him effortlessly as the lotuses below bowed in unison.

Their petals shimmered, and from their cores, small droplets of condensed Wood Essence formed, drifting toward him like dewdrops caught in moonlight.

They hovered around his body, orbiting gently before merging into his skin without resistance.

The Verdant Litany was no longer just a technique.

It was a bond.

A pact with nature itself.

Lin Muʼs eyes remained closed, but within his soul, he felt himself standing at the edge of an ancient grove—one that welcomed him not as an outsider, but as a custodian.

The sensation faded slowly as the lakeʼs light dimmed, the lotuses resuming their calm sway.

The trance ended, and Lin Muʼs feet touched down on the stone platform once more.

His eyes opened, glowing briefly with a soft green hue.

A deep breath escaped him, not of exhaustion, but of renewal.

He looked over the lake, his heart filled with quiet reverence.

”Thank you,” he whispered.

And in the rippling of the lotus petals, he thought he heard a reply.

The gentle ripple of lotus petals continued, but then—

It changed.

SHHHHHHHH…

The sound deepened, layered with something new. Something clear.

A voice.

Soft. Feminine. Ancient.

”Lin Mu…”

His eyes widened.

The sound echoed directly in his mind, bypassing his ears entirely.

”Whoʼs there?” he called out gently, but his voice felt swallowed by the immense stillness around him.

The lake responded.

Light surged from the petals, and the glowing lotuses all bowed—bent as if in reverence—as one singular flower at the center began to rise.

It emerged from the depths slowly, its green-veined violet petals unfurling with grace beyond mortal design.

As it bloomed, a halo of soft green light expanded outward, bathing the entire cavern.

”Iʼve waited for you.”

Lin Mu blinked, and the light suddenly engulfed him.

SHUA

The world shifted.

He felt no pain, no resistance—just weightlessness. Then silence.

When his senses returned, Lin Mu found himself standing in a place unlike anything he had ever known.

The sky above shimmered with a vibrant emerald hue, shifting in gradients like the surface of jade under running water.

The air was fragrant, heavy with the scent of blooming life, but free of decay or time.

And in front of him—

A colossus.

The Green Petal Urim Lotus, now massive beyond comprehension, rested in the heart of this world.

Its petals stretched across the sky, like verdant wings supporting the heavens. Each petal was large enough to cradle mountains. Its roots flowed like rivers through the ground, glowing softly with green light.

It was not a flower.

It was a realm.

And it was alive.

As Lin Mu gazed upon it, the space before the lotus shimmered. A figure emerged—graceful and ethereal.

She was beautiful, not in the way of mortals, but in the way that stars and oceans were beautiful—vast and unknowable.

Her upper body was that of a woman, draped in flowing robes woven from green mist and light. Her hair trailed behind her like vines in the wind. Her lower half was that of a blooming lotus, each petal forming a skirt that hovered above the glowing earth.

Eyes the color of spring leaves met Lin Muʼs with infinite calm.

He could only stare.

”…You…” he breathed, barely able to form words.

The woman gave a serene smile.

”I am the spirit of the Green Petal Urim Lotus,” she said, her voice gentle yet vast, like wind passing through an endless forest. ”And you are the one I have awaited.”

”Me?” Lin Mu asked, his brows furrowing slightly. ”Why me?”

”Because you carry the harmony of life... of Nature… and a heart that does not seek dominion, but resonance.”

She drifted closer, the illusion of movement like water rippling under moonlight.

”Long ago, before the temple stood, before the first scriptures were carved… I bloomed in solitude. Many sought me for power. Many desired my petals, my roots, my essence… but none could reach me.”

Lin Mu remained quiet, sensing the weight behind her words.

”But then,” she continued, ”I felt a change. A seed, not in the ground… but walking. Wandering. Learning. Teaching.”

She reached out with a luminous hand.

”That seed was you.”

Lin Mu took a breath, his heart steadying. ”Then… why now? Why show yourself at this moment?”

The Lotus Spirit smiled.

”Because you are ready.”

As she said so, the world around them pulsed. The air filled with symbols—green patterns dancing across the sky like calligraphy written in wind.
