Walker Of The Worlds

Chapter 2700  Xukongʼs Materials And Teaching The Spear Technique

Lin Mu had never expected that he would get a material that came directly from Xukongʼs body. Even if it were just a husk, he knew it would be anything but simple.

This was the husk of the Void Weaver Spider!

If it was known that it could be obtained, wars might be fought across the realms as experts would yearn to possess it. There had never been a case like this before, and the knowledge of its existence alone would shake the world.

And yet, Xukong was willing to offer it to Lin Mu.

At this point, though, Lin Mu didnʼt even know if he was qualified to handle such a material.

”Would I even be able to use them to forge weapons?” Lin Mu was doubtful.

”Well… You will certainly need some special equipment to refine them, but it will be possible. Iʼll guide you as well,” Xukong encouraged him.

”Alright… Iʼll try my best,” Lin Mu nodded, his mind already racing with the possibilities.

”At the very least, making a couple of spears wonʼt be difficult. My legs are already like spears. You will simply need to temper them a bit and do the finishing touches,” Xukong stated.

”Hmm… that makes sense.” Lin Mu thought of the massive pillar-like legs that Xukong had.

He had seen Xukong use the Pull of the Weaver with one of his legs before and had witnessed the power contained within them. He could only imagine what would happen if one of those sharp legs struck something or someone.

Of course, Xukongʼs avatar body was a fraction of that size, but his legs were still large enough to work as spears if two legs were combined into one. Lin Mu could only look forward to it, and he felt quite a bit of excitement building up.

For now, though, he had another task at hand. He needed to prepare the Nine Strikes Mountain Piercing Spear Technique for Meng Bai first.

With the decision made, Lin Mu spent the next few hours preparing detailed instructions for Meng Bai. He didnʼt just transcribe the technique but actually practiced it himself for a while to gain insights.

At Lin Muʼs level, it barely took him a few hours to master the technique and gain deeper understanding. As such, he added several footnotes and explanations to the scroll.

The day passed in quiet diligence, and when Meng Bai returned from his writing session, Lin Mu handed him a scroll containing the Nine Strikes Mountain Piercing Spear Technique.

”This is your primary training technique from now on,” Lin Mu stated firmly.

Meng Bai unrolled the scroll and began reading, his eyes widening with each passage. ”This… this is incredible, Master! These techniques feel so natural!”

His talent once again shone through as he quickly understood the essence of the technique merely by reading it.

”Good,” Lin Mu nodded in approval. ”Now, letʼs begin.”

Meng Bai stepped onto the training ground and positioned himself. Lin Mu demonstrated each of the nine strikes one by one—

Piercing Fang – A rapid thrust aimed at weak points.

Sweeping Gale – A wide arc strike for crowd control.

Skyward Ascent – An upward thrust to counter aerial foes.

Earth-Shaking Sweep – A powerful horizontal strike meant to knock enemies off their feet.

Shadow Fang – A deceptive feint followed by a lightning-fast stab.

Breaking Point – A concentrated strike designed to shatter defenses.

Echoing Thrust – A chain attack that used momentum to deliver consecutive hits.

Defensive Warden – A stance that turned the spear into a shield-like barrier.

Final Fang – The deadliest move, a concentrated thrust using full force and precision.

Meng Bai practiced each form diligently. His talent was evident—his thrusts grew sharper, his sweeps became smoother, and his footwork improved rapidly. Lin Mu provided guidance, correcting small mistakes and pushing Meng Bai to execute each movement with greater efficiency.

”Remember, a spear is an extension of your body,” Lin Mu instructed. ”Your grip should be firm but flexible, allowing for both precision and power.”

Meng Bai nodded and resumed his training, his movements growing more fluid with each attempt. He drilled each technique hundreds of times, ensuring that his body would remember the motions instinctively.

As the night deepened, Lin Mu decided to up the intensity. ”Now, attack me using the techniques youʼve learned.”

Meng Bai hesitated but quickly steadied himself. He lunged forward with Piercing Fang, but Lin Mu effortlessly sidestepped it. The next moment, Meng Bai followed up with a Sweeping Gale, aiming to force Lin Mu back, but Lin Mu countered with a precise deflection.

”Your transitions need to be smoother. Donʼt think of them as separate attacks but as a continuous flow,” Lin Mu advised.

Meng Bai took a deep breath and adjusted his stance. This time, he launched a sequence of attacks, blending Skyward Ascent and Echoing Thrust seamlessly. Lin Mu nodded in approval as the boy finally began grasping the true nature of spear combat.

By the time the two moons were at their peak, Meng Bai stood drenched in sweat, his breathing heavy but his eyes filled with determination.

”This… this is the right path for me, Master,” Meng Bai said firmly.

”Good. Looks like you will progress nicely,” Lin Mu smiled. ”From now on, you will practice the spear technique for ten hours a day and write the rest of the time.”

”Yes, yes!” Meng Bai nodded his head obediently.

”Now, letʼs eat and rest.” Lin Mu declared, making the boy, who had been waiting for this, jump in joy.

While the two were enjoying their meal, something else was happening far away at the Thumb Mountain.

”Nothing here,” a man dressed in the robes of the River Bending Axe Sect muttered, scanning the area with narrowed eyes.

”Nothing in the other areas either, Elder,” an Inner Court disciple reported.

The Elder furrowed his brows, displeased. ”Where could they have gone?” he muttered to himself.

”Itʼs already been four days, and thereʼs no sign of them.” A disciple spoke. ”Is it possible theyʼve already left the forest and gone to another city?”
