Walker Of The Worlds

Chapter 2596  The Submissive Drake

The twins waited behind the old man while the Blue Drake stood opposite them.

The beastʼs anger had lessened considerably, replaced by caution. He was now sure that whoever was backing the twins was not simple.

ʼIf they have someone like him under them as well, itʼs clear their master might just be a Transcendent Expert,ʼ the Blue Drake thought to himself.

Yet, among the three Transcendent Experts of the Rust Sky World, none were known to keep such beasts or associate with the old man. This left the Blue Drake perplexed and on edge.

For five tense minutes, they all stood in silence, unmoving and watching each other carefully.

Fortunately, help arrived before the situation could escalate further. A red blur streaked across the horizon, leaving behind a blazing trail of flames so intense that the trees below withered instantly, their leaves turning to ash.

The Blue Drake sensed the incoming presence and turned to face it, feeling a powerful and unfamiliar beast bloodline rapidly approaching. What initially felt like one strong bloodline soon revealed itself to be something far more complex.

ʼWait… itʼs not one bloodline. Two? Three… four… ten… a hundred… a thousand?! What in the name of the Dragon Father is this?ʼ The Blue Drake was utterly baffled. The sheer number of bloodlines he sensed left him disoriented.

It wasnʼt the muddled, impure mix of lesser beasts, either. Each bloodline was distinct, radiating its unique essence, yet they intertwined so intricately that discerning dominance among them was nearly impossible. It was like listening to a cacophony of voices, each distinct yet blending into an overwhelming roar.

However, the bloodlines were merely the tip of the iceberg. As the presence drew closer, the Blue Drake felt a weight bearing down on him—an aura of absolute tyranny that made his very bones quake. He realized there were two entities, one riding atop the other.

While both emanated formidable power, the riderʼs aura was overwhelmingly oppressive. The Drakeʼs instincts screamed that this was no ordinary being.

ʼWhat cultivation base is this?ʼ The Blue Drake struggled to gauge the riderʼs true strength. Initial Qi fluctuations suggested the Third Tribulation Stage of the Immortal Realm, but the sheer vitality and presence oscillated between the Fourth and Fifth Tribulation Stages.

ʼNo… this canʼt be right. This must be a facade meant to lower my guard,ʼ he concluded, preparing himself for the arrival of a being he now feared might be a top-tier expert.

”Xiao Yin! Xiao Yang!” Lin Muʼs voice echoed as he arrived atop Little Shrubby, his mount blazing with fiery energy.

A Tyrannical Aura rolled off Lin Muʼs body in waves, distorting the very air around him. His face was obscured by the dense aura, leaving only his piercing red eyes visible. To the Blue Drake, those eyes radiated devastation and supremacy.

Lin Mu had broken through not long ago, and sensing the twinsʼ condition—their weakened auras and silence—he had immediately reached out to them. When they failed to respond, he knew they were engaged in combat and rushed to their aid with Little Shrubby.

The twins, as playful as they were, had wandered farther than expected while Little Shrubby had been gathering ingredients from the forest. Normally, Lin Mu wouldnʼt have worried. The twins had gotten into trouble before but always emerged unscathed. This time, however, it seemed they had pranked the wrong target.

The Blue Drake trembled as Lin Muʼs aura pressed down on him. The oppressive force combined with the countless bloodlines emanating from Lin Mu made the Drake feel utterly insignificant. Yet, amidst the overwhelming presence, the Drake sensed something familiar—a hint of a Dragonic Bloodline.

ʼA Dragonic Bloodline?ʼ The Blue Drakeʼs eyes widened in shock. ʼNo… not just any… the Azure Dragonʼs bloodline!ʼ

Realizing the magnitude of the situation, the Blue Drake immediately lowered his head.

THUD

He bowed so deeply that his head buried into the ground. Not stopping there, he flattened his entire body against the earth in a show of submission.

”Blue Drake, Qu Ben pays his respect to the Venerated Ancestor!” the once-proud beast declared, his voice filled with respect and fear.

Lin Mu, who had been marching forward with intent to confront the threat, froze in surprise. The Tyrannical Aura surrounding him flickered momentarily.

”What the…” Lin Mu muttered, confused by the sudden shift in the Drakeʼs demeanor.

Concerned for the twins, Lin Mu had unleashed all his power, prepared to eliminate the danger in one decisive blow. Yet, here the supposed threat knelt before him, trembling in fear.

”I, Qu Ben, profoundly apologize for my mistake. I did not know the two snakelings were under your tutelage,” the Blue Drake said, his tone reverent.

To the Drake, Lin Muʼs bloodline marked him as a descendant of the Azure Dragon—a being revered among Dragonic creatures. For Qu Ben, this was not merely a formidable foe but an ancestor worthy of utmost deference.

Lin Mu stepped off Little Shrubby, his aura retracting slightly as he approached the twins.

”Are you two alright?” Lin Mu asked, his voice steady yet filled with concern.

”Weʼre fine, Master,” Xiao Yin and Xiao Yang replied in unison, their voices carrying both relief and guilt.

Although their scales were cracked and bloodied, their innate regenerative abilities ensured they were far from incapacitated. They would recover fully in just a few days.

Lin Mu examined them closely before turning his gaze to Qu Ben. The once-fearsome Blue Drake now lay prostrate, his entire form radiating submission.

”You attacked them?” Lin Mu asked, his tone cold.

”I did,” Qu Ben admitted. ”But I was unaware of their connection to you, Venerated Ancestor. Had I known, I would never have dared.”

”Why did you attack?” Lin Mu pressed.

”They provoked me,” Qu Ben replied honestly, his head still pressed against the ground. ”They stole from me, toyed with me, mocked me, and even struck me. In my anger, I failed to discern their lineage.”

Lin Mu glanced at the twins, who averted their eyes guiltily. ”Is this true?”
