The 99th Divorce

As expected, she soon saw a doctor in a white coat, followed by a man who had a straight figure, coming downstairs. The man behind the doctor, dressed in a dark striped suit, stood upright with one hand in his pocket, looking down from the stairwell. The familiar peach blossom eyes were slightly cold, and she could not see clearly what his mood was.

Yu Lili’s heart, like being caught, was terribly hurt to see that figure.

It’s him. Did he save me? Why?

Yu Li hung her head slightly and looked away. Her eyes were burning, and her throat seemed to be blocked by something.

The nurse waved to Ou Ming and said, “You come here and take her back quickly, she just wanted to run away. The patient just woke up and has to do some medical examinations.”

Ou Ming slowly stepped down, stared at Yu Lili and asked slowly, “Why do you run away?” What a familiar voice, but what an unfamiliar tone. Such a tone of his words that was neither provocative nor indulgent like before. His words seemed to be covered with a frost, alienated and indifferent.

Yu Lili’s throat was even tighter. She swallowed her saliva and slowed down before she said, “I don’t have money… to pay the hospital’s medical bills.”

Yu Lili’s simple sentence, like a heavy hammer, hit hard on Ou Ming’s heart. Instantly, his heart was clearly attacked by sudden pain and soreness. Ou Ming’s eyes narrowed slightly. He could not help stepping forward and pulling her wrist with a cold face. Ou Ming pulled hard, and Yu Lili did not move. Yu Lili hung her head with red eyes, and her other hand was tightly wrapped around the handrail.

“Go back!” Ou Ming’s tone was full of orders, and he pulled her hard again.

But Yu Lili just leaned forward slightly. Then she held the handrail tightly again, gritted her teeth and bowed her head. “I don’t know when you were so idle and so willing to worry about other people’s affairs,” said Yu Lili.

Ou Ming paused for a moment, and he turned to look at her.

“Ou Ming, why can’t you treat me as if you don’t know me? Why are you so annoyed about saving me? Whoever asked you to save me back there, I don’t want to live anymore…” Yu Lili’s mute voice echoed emptily in the stairwell. After that, her voice began to choke with red eyes, and she looked up at him with tears. “Why don’t you just let me die directly? Why are you so meddlesome?” In the end, she was already crying.

After listening to her words, Ou Ming’s heart, which had been held tightly, was more like being eaten alive, bleeding and painful to spasm.

Looking at her deeply, Ou Ming turned slightly sideways, then suddenly hooked his lips and smiled at her. He raised his mouth obliquely, with a charming smile and a smart demeanour. He looked at her with his peach blossom eyes, which were as cold as ice-breaking deep lakes, without temperature at all.

“Don’t you know? I’ve always been so kind,” He finished, and gently took her hand with his slightly rough hand and caressed it. Then he smiled slightly and said, “I’m doing the same thing as when I bought you from that bunch of prostitutes. I saved you. Shouldn’t you say “thank you” to me?”

‘Prostitute’, ‘Bought’! Such words hurt Yu Lili severely. She pushed his hand back with red eyes. She tried to throw his hand away, but her hand was held tightly.

Ou Ming held her hand with slight anger in his eyes. His evil smile was expanding, and his voice was so low. “Now that you have grown up, you are good at playing tricks. Is that a trick of leaving somebody at large in order to apprehend him afterwards?” Said Ou Ming.
