The 99th Divorce

Yu Lili had a dream. In that dream, she returned to that day when the doctor announced that she was pregnant.

“Your body may have antibodies to the pills because you have taken them for a long time, or if you didn’t do other safety measures, so this may cause pregnancy, but according to the situation you described, I don’t recommend you having this baby. The pills have a great influence on the fetus. Now you can’t see any problems, but it will be difficult to ensure that the fetus won’t be deformed or have some other problems after birth.”

Yu Lili touched her belly with her eyes lowered, looked at the doctor in front of her and asked, “Such as weak intelligence or cerebral palsy?”

The doctor nodded in sympathy. “Pregnant still needs to be prepared. But your situation is too sudden, so it is not a good time for you and the baby. Now, the fetus is still small, so you can have an abortion, and then no more pills because it is very bad for your body.”

…

Yu Lili was absent-minded when she was out of the hospital.

I’m pregnant. I’m pregnant… However, the baby might be deformed. What should I do… Do I need to tell Ou Ming? No, no. If I tell him, he will definitely blame me. Blame me for taking pills and for not protecting myself. However, he had protective measures every time, why am I suddenly pregnant?

Yurily drove back to the villa by herself, but before she had come inside, she heard Ou Ming on the phone. Ou Ming turned his back to the door, and Yu Lili subconsciously walked lightly, and the man inside did not notice her return.

Listening to his tone, he seemed to be impatient and said to the phone, “Mom, my enterprise is still not stable yet, and I will be engaged to Miss Shen at the right time…”

He’ll be engaged…

Yu Lili stood at the door, as if she was struck by the thunder.

Will Ou Ming be engaged? Ou Ming will get engaged! Didn’t he say that he wanted to marry me? He also secretly reserved the ring and prepared the wedding dress. Are those all fake? Did he… prepare all those things for the so-called fiancee instead of me? Then what is my position? Mistress? Or bed-companion?

Yu Lili stood in the same place, looking at Ou Ming’s tall figure, and was absent-minded.

Ou Ming hung up the phone and was about to turn around. She quickly stepped back and walked lightly to avoid his sight. Her mind was very confused. Sneaking into his study, she sat down in front of the desk. The design drafts and sample drawings were all here. They were very beautiful because every detail was drawn delicate and very careful.

Originally, I thought that those things were prepared by him for me. But now it seems… I thinks too much.

She felt disappointed, then reached out and touched her breast, and an unspeakable sadness came.

I’m so sad. It turned out that I was only self-sentimental. Never mind, I’m just being kept as a mistress, right? What qualifications do I have to be upset or unhappy? When I decided to give myself to him, I was doomed to lose a lot of things. No love, freedom, self-esteem nor identity. Everything is self-inflicted. He didn’t force me, and I volunteered for it all, didn’t I? But why is my heart so painful and uncomfortable? Is it just because he is the father of the baby? The father of the baby… that is destined not to born in this world.
