Hogwarts: Even Voldemort Can't Stop Me From Studying

Chapter 698: Chapter 89: Champion Selection 2

”The champion of Castelobruxo—Diego Costa!”

A curly-haired boy with dark skin stood up, revealing a radiant smile.

He looked at a few nervous people beside him, gave a thumbs-up, and said, ”I’ll be waiting for you in the back, good luck!”

Headmaster Cavaleiro clapped vigorously, and the boy ran over, first hugging his headmaster before walking toward the room at the back of the hall.

”Arthur Faria!”

A messy-haired boy stood up, pulling on his shirt as he walked through the aisle.

”Isabella Santos!”

A bronze-skinned curly-haired girl jumped up with a cheer, impatiently running across the aisle without seeing her classmates who wanted to celebrate with her. She caught up with Arthur at the cabin door and barreled him through the entrance like a cannonball.

Besides applause, a burst of laughter erupted in the hall.

Headmaster Cavaleiro laughed and shook his head helplessly.

Flames roared, and charred parchment flew up, caught by Dumbledore.

”The champion of the Magic Institute—”

A dozen students in golden robes all raised their heads simultaneously, looking tense.

”Ito Tai!”

A boy with a hedgehog-style hairstyle exhaled deeply, stood up, and walked steadily across the hall, turning back to wait at the cabin door.

”Kitajima Rikka!”

Seventeen or eighteen-year-old black-haired girl raised her head and walked out of the row, with a few people looking at her with jealousy.

”Asada Chinatsu!”

A doll-faced petite girl immediately stood up, trying hard to suppress her smile, walked lightly toward her two companions in front.

”That’s the thirteen-year-old student, surprisingly got selected...”

Vid heard someone whispering.

Before the three of them completely disappeared from the door, the Goblet of Fire began to spit out new names one after another.

”The champion of Uagadou,” Dumbledore adjusted his glasses, holding the paper further away to decipher the name: ”Babua Okondo!”

Applause in the hall paused slightly as everyone looked at the two-meter-tall man who seemed like a thirty-year-old giant, gasping involuntarily.

Sounds of inhaling filled the air.

The giant was used to it. He stroked his bald head and strode toward the cabin.

”Jabari Viven!”

This boy was equally tall, but his skin color was almost pure black; with eyes and mouth closed, he could blend into the night.

”This guy has an advantage in night battles.” Terry worriedly said, ”If he hides, who can find him?”

”Can the Tracking Spell find him?” Michael asked Vid.

Vid nodded and said, ”Of course it can.” He could find him even without the Tracking Spell.

Everyone relaxed.

”Amina Jabrai!”

This time it was a girl; her eyebrows slowly arched upwards with sharp eyes, looking very intelligent. Her slender body exuded a vibrant sense of strength, like an elegant cheetah.

Michael commented, ”Feels a bit like Professor Abigail.”

Anthony asked anxiously, ”When will it be Hogwarts’ turn?”

”Then you’d have to ask the cup.” Michael said.

”The champion of Kodostorians—Yuri Ivanov!”

This was a boy with a bear-like build, with several scars on his face. When he stood up, applause in the hall paused again.

He silently walked forward, looking at no one.

”Natalia Petrova!”

”Hey, Harry!” Ron said immediately at the Gryffindor table, ”Isn’t that the girl who talked to you?”

”Yes, yes...” Harry naturally recognized her, surprised she would become a champion, hurriedly applauded her vigorously.

Natalia smiled at Harry, her brows and eyes arching with goodwill.

Harry instinctively glanced at the Ravenclaw table, seeing Cho Chang smiling at the new champion, and started to anticipate—if his name were called out by Dumbledore, would he receive the same smile?

”Olga Las!”

An handsome red-haired boy stood up, walking forward amid the congratulations from surrounding people.

”Salem Academy—”

Vid paused, glanced at Antoine on the faculty seat, seeing his body slightly leaning forward, seemingly also paying attention to ”his” academy and which champions would be selected.

But the headmistress of Salem, Ms. Owens, had a calm demeanor, fixing her serene gaze on her students.

Vid recalled the history of Salem Academy—the origins were a witch hunt movement where surviving witches formed a secret society. Later, because they housed more and more wizard children, it gradually developed into a school.

In the information Antoine gave him, it once mentioned that because the founder of that academy had an extremely tragic experience, even today, Salem Academy students study the most brutal part of the witch hunt movement upon entering school, with an annual school-wide remembrance day.

It’s a magic school built on tragedy, with scars of history still visible in the eyes of teachers and students.

”Abby Williams!”

The girl with long reddish-brown hair and a pale face stood up, but did not move, standing silently.

”Hope Cruise!”

In the corner, a fragile-looking girl also stood up, her head lowered, her hair almost completely covering her eyes.

”Samuel Freeman!”

When the boy holding a book stood up, the three walked toward the cabin together. As they passed Headmistress Owens, they stopped and bowed slightly.

”Go ahead.” Headmistress Owens said softly, ”I’ll be there in a while.”

”The champion of Mando—” Dumbledore continued to announce clearly, ”Arjun Rajput!”

The dark-skinned boy stood up, looking around before deciding to wait for the other two from his academy.

The seated students looked at each other, trying not to show their expectations and nervousness, yet their hands on their laps were slightly trembling.

”Pulia Patel!”

A boy with a high nose bridge and deep eyes stood up, secretly exhaling, then clasped his hands to make a gesture of gratitude to his classmates around.

”Ganesh Ayan!”

A boy with a round, gentle face and thick eyelashes stood up, noticeably younger than the other two, with evident joy on his face.

The three of them walked toward the cabin, and Padma looked at their backs, snorting through her nose seemingly unhappy.

”What’s wrong?” Michael quickly asked with concern, ”Do you know anyone?”
