Hogwarts: Even Voldemort Can't Stop Me From Studying

Chapter 541: Chapter 169: Stay in Hogsmeade

Mabel was riding on the broomstick, watching the city below gradually light up, feeling an exceptional sense of joy and freedom.

Knowing this part of the journey was coming to an end, she felt deeply reluctant, wishing she could continue adventuring with these adorable magical beings forever, with no end.

However, the magical beings were already impatient to return to their master.

”Faster! Faster!”

The cloak urged from time to time.

The broomstick was exasperated: ”Stop urging! This is already the fastest speed! Do you have any idea how heavy you guys are? Why don’t you fly yourself?”

”I’m not fast!” the cloak justified confidently.

”We’re almost there,” Peter the Second said steadily, hoping to stop the quarrel in this way.

Mabel reluctantly perked up and asked, ”Is Vid’s home just ahead? Will he be home?”

”He probably won’t,” the Cube Poppet said. ”School has started, he would probably be at school, or he might be visiting his parents.”

”Why didn’t you say so earlier! I flew the wrong way.”

The broomstick was about to change direction when it was patted by the cloak.

”Are you dumb? That Bell guy is still over here!” the cloak said. ”Without the cupboard space, how can we stay with the master?”

The broomstick: ”...”

It said nothing, silently correcting its course amidst Mikhail’s ”chirping” laughter.

”Huh?” the Cube Poppet suddenly exclaimed, with its ”eyeball” lens extending and retracting twice, and said in a deep voice: ”The bedroom light is on.”

”What? A thief!” the broomstick perked up, accelerating a little more.

”No, it should be the master has returned,” Peter the Second said.

”Damn!” the broomstick said. ”Will we get scolded for sneaking out without the master’s command?”

The cloak pessimistically said: ”Might get beaten.”

”I don’t mind getting beaten,” the broomstick said. ”I don’t fear pain anyway.”

”The consequences might be worse,” the Cube exaggerated gravely: ”Maybe the master thinks he needs more obedient magical beings and has your consciousness erased and new thoughts implanted.”

”What? How is that any different from death?” the cloak was shocked, then enviously glanced at Mikhail, saying: ”This big bird is better off, doesn’t have to worry about this kind of problem at all.”

Mikhail gave it a wing, but the broom underneath suddenly tilted, letting the attack miss.

Mabel screamed in surprise, only to find that the broom was flying crookedly, as if very scared.

Her heart softened, and she said: ”Why don’t you... why don’t you guys hide first? I’ll go ask Mr. Gray, and if he really has that intention... I’ll help you guys escape.”

”No, no... I can’t leave the master...”

The broomstick shook while firmly flying towards that window.

Mabel glanced around, but when the magical beings didn’t want to show any expression, they naturally had no expression, and no one could see what they were thinking.

But none of them mentioned escaping again.

Mabel, who was initially hesitating whether to go see Vid, had forgotten her own anxiety at that moment and was only worried about her magical friends.

She thought: If... if Vid really gets angry, I will help block him, can’t let the magical beings really get their consciousness erased...

The cold wind whistled by, and that tiny window quickly enlarged in their view, the bright light revealing the silhouette inside, but it was hard for the people inside the room to see outside.

Peter the Second saw that Sirius and Lupin were also inside, was suddenly startled, grabbed the cloak and draped it over himself, pulled down the mask, then thought it over, silently adjusted his height a few centimeters higher.

After all, it was also a magical being, its whole body full of alchemy materials, and after a few adjustments, its appearance was completely different from Peter Pettigrew.

Peter the Second quietly breathed a sigh of relief, thankful for his timely reaction.

By this time, they had already reached outside the window, and under the gaze of the three wizards in the room, entered one by one and landed on the ground.

Mabel had decided to take responsibility before entering, and just as she made eye contact with Vid, she took two steps forward and said: ”Mr. Gray, please don’t blame them for acting without your orders, it’s all because of me...”

”I understand,” Vid’s smile was warm, he said: ”I’ve heard it all, Mabel, thank you for coming to rescue me. And thank you guys—you are even more outstanding than I imagined.”

Mabel was stunned, then broke into a smile, her worries dissipating.

Some of the magical beings beside her were already puffed up with pride, the cloak squirmed and said: ”Haha... I didn’t actually do much... Master, you’re too kind...”

”Although you didn’t help much, we all know you have tried your best.”

The broomstick ”comforted” it, then added: ”Unlike me... flying back and forth in the sky, hardly rested, but it was all worth it.”

The cloak: ”...?”

The cloak: ”#!”

It didn’t say a word, suddenly wrapped around the broom, and started thrashing it back and forth.

The broom was startled and questioned: ”What are you doing?” as it struggled vigorously, flying erratically around the room with the cloak.

Vid sighed helplessly, spread open the cupboard space, and tossed the two magical beings inside. Then the other magical beings bid him farewell and obediently entered the space.

The room immediately quieted down.

Sirius laughed: ”Vid, your magical beings have such peculiar personalities.”
