Hogwarts: Even Voldemort Can't Stop Me From Studying

Chapter 531: Chapter 164: Bombs and Flames (Part 2)

”I can’t hear you!” the old man shouted loudly, ”What are you saying? I can’t hear! What’s happening outside?”

The witch with a bun said something else, grabbed Vorvillet, and quickly ran out.

The main force of the Witch Pure Party left with Grindelwald, and now almost everyone left in the castle were the old, weak, sick, and injured and corpses that had been sent back from the battlefield not long ago.

The entire castle had fallen into chaos, wizards screamed and ran everywhere, some were injured, covered in blood, being dragged by their companions to escape.

”Wait! Wait!”

Vorvillet forcibly shook off the witch’s hand, shivering, took magic potions out of his box, waved his magic wand, and distributed them to the wounded around him.

He also drank a bottle himself, the effect of the magic potion was immediate, and soon Vorvillet heard countless noisy sounds.

”Muggles! It’s the Muggle army!”

”How did they find us? The castle clearly has a Hidden Spell and Muggle-Repelling Charm!”

”All defensive spells have failed! Where is Mr. Grindelwald? When can they return?”

”He’s dying! Who will help me?”

”Calm down! Calm down! Everyone go to the basement! Run to the basement!”

The strange whistling sound rang out again, like countless Horned Camel Beasts howling in unison, everyone’s faces turned pale, knowing that another round of bombing had arrived!

”Protego Totalum!”

”Iron Armor Protection!”

”Impedimenta!”

Wizards threw out a mess of spells, the light of magic flickering, but their eyes all showed fear and despair.

The outside suddenly brightened!

The next second, a rumbling explosion sounded, all the glass in the castle shattered, and the scorching gust swept along the corridor, even making a wailing sound.

The originally gloomy corridor was illuminated as bright as day, people’s shadows were cast long and thin behind them, the stone walls emitted a rustling sound in the vibration, a pebble rolled down from the high windowsill.

But...

No one was injured again, and the walls did not further collapse.

Outside the window, it was still very bright and scorching, but those shells seemed to explode before hitting the castle.

”What... what happened?”

Someone asked softly.

Vorvillet swallowed his saliva, pushed away the young man guarding him, walked to the window, and looked out through the narrow window.

The suddenly bright light was rapidly contracting, a golden-red bird spread its wings and flew, its body made of flames was two or three times larger than a Hippogriff.

”What is that?” a young witch exclaimed excitedly, ”Is it... a Phoenix?”

Speaking of Phoenix, naturally, one would think of Dumbledore, he is the only known wizard in the Magic World who has a Phoenix as a pet, and is also the strongest wizard trusted and admired even by enemies.

Vorvillet paused, shook his head, and said, ”No, Dumbledore’s Phoenix is much smaller... much...”

Before Vorvillet could finish speaking, he was already stiff.

In the distance, where the Muggle army was gathered, black mist was surging, flipping over several trucks, throwing screaming soldiers into the air.

It was a pure, destructive force... a power Grindelwald had tried to obtain for the first half of his life.

——Obscurus.

Vorvillet silently recited the name in his heart, speechless with shock, completely unable to comprehend how this scene was happening.

Why would the Obscurus appear outside the castle? What’s with the odd firebird? They seem to be protecting the people in the castle... Why?

If it was a defensive force arranged by Grindelwald in advance... why didn’t he mention it to anyone?

Vorvillet’s mind was a fog, and what happened next was even more bizarre than anything he could dream of.

The firebird that exploded all the shells in the air was moving through the flames after the explosion, as if absorbing some sort of power, its body becoming larger and larger, almost like... like an expanding Fiendfyre Monster.

After the Muggles flipped over half their vehicles, suddenly a chubby cannon barrel was deployed, aimed at the black mist tumbling in the air and fired. After a flash of blue light, the black mist suddenly shattered, and a weak girl fell from the sky.

The black-uniformed soldiers shot at the girl, a cloak flew over to shield the bullets, and then suddenly a broom appeared from nowhere, catching the girl, and ”woosh” took her away.

The firebird that seemed to be enjoying the flames angrily screamed, its body, expanding to over ten meters, lunged at the Muggles!

Its slender tail swept over, leaving a long strip of blazing fire on the ground.

The huge body was like a natural target, easy to hit even while flying in the air.

The firebird was also hit by the cannon with an invisible ”bomb,” its flight path suddenly swerved, crashing into a distant hill and igniting a large area of fire.

While everyone was distracted by the firebird, the broom furtively flew back, dropping a strangely colored cube from high in the sky.

”Bomb!”

The soldiers around the landing spot screamed, diving behind cover, only to see the cube land above the cannon barrel, metallic claws suddenly extended from both sides, and ”swish swish” rapidly dismantled half of the cannon barrel at a speed invisible to the naked eye, even pulling out an axe to chop several times!

”Fire!”

The Muggle commander shouted, bullets raining down, the cube suddenly unfurled a shield, instantly covering itself tightly, catching all the bullets.
