War Sovereign Soaring The Heavens

4640 Nurturing Plan? Destruction Plan?

“I know, but it makes sense to me,” Feng Qing Yang said through Voice Transmission, “As for why the heavenly text didn’t appear before the gap in history, perhaps there was no need for it at that time. Now that there was a need, it would naturally appear. After all, our cultivation was greatly limited by heaven before this.”

Feng Qing Yang’s eyes were bright as he continued to say, “I have a feeling that the reason heaven plunged the world into chaos and killed everyone in the past was due to the threat of the enemies’ invasion. Perhaps heaven knew the powerhouses in the past were not strong enough to deal with the enemies so it claimed the energy of the World itself to strengthen the barrier that kept the enemies in that mysterious place from coming to the world.”

Feng Qing Yang grew more and more agitated as he spoke. “This really seems to be the case. This also explains why there’s nothing about the entrances and the mysterious place in the Void Elder’s memory. After all, they knew nothing when heaven acted first and destroyed the world to ironically protect the world…”

“After the barrier was strengthened, and humans appeared again, heaven created rules to prevent humans from becoming too strong. The number of supreme powerhouses is small, and the number of powerful supreme powerhouses is even smaller. Until us, there was no level-seven supreme powerhouse at all. We likely disrupted heaven’s plan and weakened the barrier. For some unknown reason, instead of ending the world again, heaven is helping us to become stronger, creating more supreme powerhouses. All these align with your theories…”

The more Feng Qing Yang thought about this, the more convinced he became.

The corners of Duan Ling Tian’s lips twitched when he heard Feng Qing Yang’s words. He did not expect Feng Qing Yang to extrapolate so much from his speculation, analyzing the matter coherently and rationally. He had to admit that he agreed with Feng Qing Yang, which was almost flawless. He could not help but wonder if they had guessed correctly.

“Little Tian, you’re right. Heaven might not be targeting us after all. It’s just that our breakthrough affected the safety of the world so heaven had to do something. Inexplicably, instead of destroying the world again, heaven decided to nurture more supreme powerhouses… Why did heaven carry out the nurturing plan instead of the destruction plan like before?’

Duan Ling Tian listened to his master silently. At the same time, he agreed with his master. After a while, he finally said, changing the topic, “Master, I’ll enter first to check the situation inside. Don’t enter when your future wife wakes up. Wait for me to come out. Although there’s likely no danger of heaven harming us, it’s still best to be sure. Wait for me to come out before you enter.”

Duan Ling Tian quickly changed the topic again, saying, “Master, you must win her over. I already consider her your future wife. If our guesses are right, there’ll be more level-seven supreme powerhouses in the future. As one of the first few level-seven supreme powerhouses, it’s only beneficial for us to have more level-seven supreme powerhouses on our side.”

“I heard from Lord Xiao that your future wife has 12 sworn brothers and sisters in the Outer Boundary. Two of them are Saints and the others are demi Saints. If you win her over, we’ll also have the support of the 13 Cities of the Jin Dynasty, one of the most powerful forces in the Outer Boundary.”

Feng Qing Yang was caught off-guard when Duan Ling Tian shifted the topic to Xue Qing Zhu. He was slightly flustered. When he regained his composure, he said, a little annoyed, “You rascal, you’re getting bolder by the day. You even dare to tease your master now. My admiration for Miss Xue is sincere and not motivated by gains!”

Duan Ling Tian laughed and nodded. After exchanging a few more words, he prepared to enter the Heaven Traversing Pagoda. While he spoke to his master earlier, many supreme powerhouses had already entered the pagoda.

‘Hm?’

After Feng Qing Yang’s doppelganger left, Duan Ling Tian was just about to enter when he saw a familiar figure. He paused in his footsteps, looking at the other party.

The other party was a woman wearing a long elegant dress that showed her graceful figure. A colorful sash was tied around her waist. Her long hair cascaded down her shoulders like a waterfall, and her beautiful face looked aloof. She was none other than Huangfu Meng Yuan, Duan Ling Tian’s Eldest Senior Sister from the Myriad Laws Academy’s Inner Palace faction.

“Senior sister, you’re going to enter the pagoda as well?” Duan Ling Tian asked with a smile.

“Yes. Are you going in as well?” Huangfu Meng Yuan replied. When she saw Duan Ling Tian, a smile appeared on her usually expressionless face. She looked like a flower blooming when she smiled; it was very charming, easily attracting the attention of those in the surroundings.

“Yes, I want to have a look,” Duan Ling Tian said with a nod.

The two chatted briefly, and Duan Ling Tian learned that his Fourth Senior Sister was guarding and cultivating in the Inner Palace faction. On the other hand, his two senior brothers had gone to the Outer Boundary to train, hoping to enter the realm of supreme powerhouses quickly. After all, previously, they had ignored the call from the realm of supreme powerhouses. It would be much more difficult now for them to become supreme powerhouses.

After Huangfu Meng Yuan entered the Heaven Traversing Pagoda, Duan Ling Tian prepared to follow suit.

There were not many people outside at this moment; most people had already entered. The few people outside had no immediate plans of entering the pagoda.

‘After entering, according to the heavenly text, my cultivation would be suppressed…’

Duan Ling Tian flew over and entered the entrance that flashed with purple lightning bolts. In just a blink of an eye, his figure vanished from sight.
